Masterplan: Site to Market
Route: easiest access from site to Burnley Market Hall, with added interventions making it safer and a more pleasant area to travel in
Vegetation: improves the biodiversity and adds a natural aesthetic along the route from site to market
Street Lighting: lack of it in Burnley in quiet alley ways; makes the route safer, especially for those with young children
Waste Bins: lack of them in Burnley can lead to littering and therefore a dampened aesthetic and bad traits being developed by the youth

Both ends of the ground floor are open ended, with the North hosting the majority of activity. The football pitch is enclosed within a netting cage, to reduce the loss of equipment into the river or main road, potentially causing accidents. The outdoor seating area allows parents a place to view the important areas of the scheme, specifically being: the pitch, River Calder and Cuckoo Mill (a listed building in the North of the context). This links various types of user together within one space, emphasising the community aspect which is key within my scheme.
The external MUGA on the South of the site is situated on a pedestrianised area on Orchard Bridge, Vegetation keeps the area private for my scheme and acts as a smaller area allowing smaller groups to practice around the time they use the main pitch. This gives more variation to my design while having the same, desired effect from both areas.

Charm Cleaning Services, at the time of design, were a new, up and coming cleaning business in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester. I was approached by the owner, Colin, to design his first branding material to help grow the aesthetic of his company. This became a big job, where I designed: logos, business cards, leaflets and A-boards. This gave me a lot of experience managing a larger scale graphics project on my own. It also filled me with great pride seeing the work printed onto the work’s vehicle and local Football team kit as a sponsor.

Amber Lily UK were another up and coming business at the time of design, based in Bury, Greater Manchester. The client, Amber, wanted a new logo creating which also led to business cards and an appreciation card to put in each order. Soon after, Amber was nominated for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award by Bolton News. This gives me a feeling that my work played a role in enhancing her business to great heights.

Ciao Baby are an Italian restaurant based in Egerton, Bolton. They required a newly designed menu for the Christmas period in 2022, which was sent out to all local customers. I also did some rough typography designs for a new logo for a business venture which never came to fruition.

Wildman Racing was a sticker business for my Father that didn’t form. I experimented with logo design and typography to create various designs for the name, which were then deliberated to find the best possible versions.

The S.E.T.T. is a community group based in Bury, Greater Manchester. Their aim is to improving social skills and reduce anxiety and depression for local sufferers. They wanted a leaflet designing to advertise their space to the wider community. The image used is a photograph I took myself, to show the audience the scenery the group is set within, hoping to reduce stress levels by being within nature and greenery.
