Tallmadge — The Tallmadge Board of Education approved the school district administration’s requests Sept. 17 to allow an administrator to break his employment contract and give him a promotion. The School Board permitted Steve Wood to technically resign from his job as director of business for the school district so that the Board
could promote him to the newly created job of chief operating officer/director of operations. Wood will earn an annual salary of $96,835 under his new three-year contract that’s effective Aug. 1, 2014, to July 31, 2017. When he broke his contract, Wood had one year left of a threeyear contract for his job as business director, for which he was making $92,866 per year. “I’ve been here four years.
