Council considering ordinance to allow city to make job changes nn Would include re-establishing one position, increasing pay range of another by Holly Schoenstein | reporter Tallmadge — The city might re-establish the position of captain of the police department, bump up the pay range for the position of assistant finance director and make other changes to jobs throughout various departments. City Council is considering an ordinance that, if approved, would embody all of the changes
in it. The ordinance was on second reading before Council May 28. According to Director of Administration Tom Pascarella, the city would like to re-establish the position of police captain so the department would have two nonunion supervisory positions, which is in line with other departments of the city. The captain position is second in command behind the police chief, followed by the combined position of lieutenant and public information officer. The pay SEE jobs, Page 5
