impact on the environment: preventing and reducing the pollution and the contamination, effective waste management, reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions, while improving the social and economic effects by linking the financial benefits to sustainability. Being harmonized with both Energy Performance of Building Directive – EPBD (2002-91-EC), its Recast EPBD II (2010-31 EC) and EU Waste Framework Directive (2008-98-EC), ECOSANDWICH wall system is expected to facilitate the implementation of both legislations by providing a market for recycled CDW and by substantially improving the energy balance of the existing as well as planned building stock. The ECO-SANDWICH prefabricated wall panels have a high durability, low operating costs, and provide a number of advantages over competitive products. Panels are economical and enable rapid construction with high aesthetic values. The elements can be dismantled and reused thus achieving extremely long service life. The application of presented wall panel system in new construction (as a load bearing structure or cladding wall panels for apartment buildings, warehouses, manufacturing buildings, prisons, supermarkets, farms, houses for poultry and livestock, food processing plants, cold stores, restaurants and hotels, gas stations, schools, office complex, etc.) is straightforward, giving it even greater market potential. The panels are adaptable to all climate conditions because they allow optimum levels of thermal insulation and energy efficiency. First Application of ECO-SANDWICH would be in the future University Campus in the City of Koprivnica located at the area of former army barracks Ban Krsto Frankopan where City of Koprivnica is planning to renew existing facilities to the A + energy standard. Prof. Banjad Pečur pointed out that ECO-SANDWICH is a product developed as a result of cooperation of Croatian scientific institutions and industry. Also the project is one of the few projects funded by the European Commission in which all the partners are from the same country, which further more emphasizes the quality of the product and the project. The total costs of the project are estimated at 925,000.00 EUR, where the European Commission shall contribute in the financing of 50% of the estimated costs. One of many goals of the project is to create a market for ECO-SANDWICH uptake at the level of European Union and neighboring countries, which defines it as another of the Croatian export products. The starting date of the project is 1st September 2012 and it will last for 3 years. Predmet: Izvješće za medije – Početni sastanak projekta ECOSANDWICH Dana 24. rujna 2012. godine na Građevinskom fakultetu, Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, održan je početni sastanak europskog projekta: „ECO-SANDWICH, energy efficient, recycled concrete sandwich facade panel“ u okviru programa CIP Eco-Innovation. Koordinatorica projekta, prof.dr.sc. Inicijativa CIP Eco – Innovation First Application and Market Replication Procjets je dio programa Poduzetništvo i Inovacije koji podupire razvoj malih i srednjih poduzeća.
poboljšavanje socijalnih i ekonomskih učinaka uparujući financijske prednosti s održivošću. Zbog svoje usklađenosti s Direktivom o energijskom svojstvu zgrada (Energy Performance of Building Directive – EPBD 2002-91-EC) i EPBD II (2010-31-EC) te Okvirnom direktivom o otpadu (2008-98-EC), ECO-SANDWICH zidni sustav će olakšati njihovu primjenu u građevinskoj praksi. Za sve daljnje informacije o ECO - SANDWICH-u, možete dobiti u izravnom kontaktu s koordinatoricom projekta: prof.dr.sc.
