Trinidad & Tobago National Petroleum Marketing Company Limited (NP) is proudly collaborating with NGC CNG Company Limited (NGC CNG) to assist in the expansion of the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) as a major, alternative transportation fuel in the country. On Wednesday 15th April, NP participated in the Launch of the National CNG Initiative at the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) Compound in Port of Spain. The launch formally introduced 35 new CNG buses to the public transport system, as well as a brand new CNG fuelling station on the PTSC compound, dedicated to serving the PTSC bus fleet.

NP Chairman Neil Gosine stated that NP is pleased to be a part of the initiative. “Today we are part of a historic partnership that will link NP with NGC CNG and the PTSC. What takes this relationship beyond unique and into the realm of the extraordinary is that it will shortly be extended to maxi-taxis. What makes it more than extraordinary is that it is not about petrol or gas, but is based on the greater availability of CNG and its increasing use as the fuel of choice for our nation’s commercial transportation industry and private users alike,” Gosine said.

TCU RAIDERS

NP Constable Rewarded for His Watchful Eye On Thursday 15th March 2015, Estate Constable Keith Bruce was on duty at Natpet compound when he discovered a truck leaving the compound with an extra 20lb cylinder. This tank was suspected to be stolen. He was commended by John Martinez, Chief of Security, for his keen powers of observation and dedication to duty, and granted an award of a $500.00 voucher. His detection could prevent such an event from recurring in the future. We encourage all employees to stay vigilant to help protect our business.

FINANCE

At NP, we encourage our employees to find a balance between work and play to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. It’s one of the reasons we continue to host recreational activities for staff. Earlier this year during HSE Week in March, we held a cricket tournament which saw six teams battling for bragging rights on the field: HSE Red Force, LOBP, TCU Raiders, NATPET, Finance and Marketing. The matches saw some great skills and sportsmanship as players put forth their best efforts for victory. We congratulate everyone who participated, including the supporters, and look forward to the next round of friendly cricket competition.
