Faraone, à travers l’Union UNCSAAL, a interpellé le Ministère des Travaux Publiques, qui a déclaré verbalement que: “Les garde-corps doivent avoir une résistance minimale à la poussé de 200kg/m linéaire”.

Meetings Régionaux Faraone 2010, 2012.

Après l’expérience des meetings régionaux Faraone en 2005-2007 sur les façades en verre à fixation ponctuel, le succès s’est répété aussi en 2010 et en 2012 sur un thème intéressant et actuel: Normatives sur les Garde-corps et rambardes.

Les participants, 70% étant des prescripteurs et le restant 30% des spécialistes, étaient très intéressés au différents tests de résistance à la rupture des verres qui ont été réalisés sur place.

La consistante participation et une politique d’entreprise qui croit fermement dans la formation et informations sur les produits et sur l’installation, nous a conduit à organiser la prochaine série de rencontres en toute l’Italie sur le thème suivant: Nouvelles normes UNI sur l’après rupture et sur les normatives du CNR: le bâtiment du futur.

Farone’s Regional meetings in 2010, 2012.

After the experience of Farone’s Regional meetings in 2005 and 2007 regarding glass facades with punctual fixing, the success has been repeated in 2010 and 2012 with an interesting and current issue: norms on balustrades and railings.

A lot of interest has been raised among the participants, which were 70% designers and 30% professionals, with the various glass breakage tests carried on live.

The large participation and a corporate policy which strongly believes in training and information regarding products and their installation, naturally led us to the next series of meetings throughout Italy, which will be centered on the new UNI rules on post breakage and the norms of the CNR: the construction industry of the future.

- Dimensions de l’installation: 5.50 X 2m; - Fixation des garde-corps sur une base en béton pour simuler une terrasse (et pas sur une poutre en fer); - Mêmes les vis d’ancrage au sol sont testés; - Test de poussée avec display pour la lecture des Kg; - Laser frontale pour la lecture de la flexion du garde-corps; - Résultat du cycle du test imprimé automatiquement; - Test du pendule (avec sac et pneu); - Certification rédigé par un organisme autorisé.

Important: attention à l’ancrage!

Les tests montrent que les vis mécaniques ou ancrage chimique peuvent se défiler s’ils n’ont pas la bonne taille et s’il ne sont pas vérifiés avec un test.

TEST DU”PENDULE” EFFECTUÉ D’UNE HAUTEUR DE 180CM: 900 JOULES. THE SWINGING TEST WAS PERFORMED FROM A HEIGHT OF 180CM, CORRESPONDING TO 900 JOULES.

LA PREUVE DU PENDULE AU CORPS MOU. Pour le modèle tout verre (comme Ninfa) le pendule est lancé de une hauteur de 180cm, qui équivalent à 900 joules: le verre doit rester début.

France has very clear rules and a very detailed and realistic regulation. Thrust resistance has to be equal to 60 kg/m for private facilities and 100 kg/m for public facilities, but the residual flexion may not exceed 3 mm.

Then the “destructive” test is carried out, with a thrust resistance of 180 kg for private facilities and 300 kg for public facilities. This test is passed if there are no cracks and glass doesn’t come out.

THE SWINGING TEST WITH A SOFT BODY. For the only glass model (Ninfa), a soft body is launched from a height of 180 cm, equal to 900 joules: the glass must keep working.

La France a des normatives très claires et un règlement très détaillé et réaliste. La résistance à la poussée est de 60Kg/m pour les lieux privés et 100kg/m pour les lieux publiques, mais le fléchissement ne peut pas dépasser les 3mm.

Par la suite, la preuve de résistance “destructive” est effectuée: 180kg pour lieux privés et 300kg pour lieux publiques. Telle preuve est valide seulement s’il y n’a pas de ruptures ou de projection de gros éclats de verre.

LES OBJECTIVES DU PROJET THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT 1 un système simplif ié et totalement réglable pour l’installation en nez de dalle; 2 faire partie de la nouvelle famille Ninfa3 en ayant des verres trempés 8+8+0.76/1.52 pour la classe 200kg/m et 10+10+1.52 pour la classe 300kg/m; 3 compensateur pour la diffé rence d’épaisseur du verre.

S’IL LE FAUT:

- 03A Après avoir placé le verre, insérer le profil compensateur intérieur pour bloquer le verre (morceaux de 25cm).

- 03B Si tout est bien en place, battre sur le profil compensateur pour serrer définitivement le verre.

S’il faut encore aligner le verre, utiliser la vis de réglage 04A en suivant les instructions qui sont à l’intérieur de la boite.

Pour terminer, mettre la couvertine extérieure 04B et le couvre file intérieure 04C. POUR RESPECTER LA NORME UNI 7697:2014 (PR) et la NORME CNR DT 210/2013 sur l’antichute et pour aligner plus facilement les panneaux, l’utilisation de la main courante T04/1 (ou T04 pour verre 8+8) est conseillée.

SPECIFICATIONS TECHNIQUES SUR NINFA Le garde-corps en verre système Ninfa (ou similaire), respecte les normes actuellement en vigueur et dispose des certifications relatives*qui sont composés par: - Essais de charge statique, en conformité avec la norme UNI 10806:1999 pour endroits de catégorie C2 (classe de résistance à la poussée 3kN/m) selon les normes techniques pour les constructions (DM 14/01/2008) et relative lettre circulaire.

CARACTÉRISATION DU GARDE-CORPS NINFA Garde-corps ou balustrade système Ninfa (o similaire) réalisée avec profil en aluminium alliage 6063 T6 selon le type choisi par le sous mentionné décret –loi, en relation à la destination d’utilisation et à la classe de appartenance. Il est apte à être installé sur dalle, intégré dans le sol, ou bien en nez de dalle; c’est possible de choisir entre les suivants modèles Faraone :

1A) Modèle NINFA3 Dimensions du profil 100x120 mm (base x hauteur), à utiliser avec verre trempé composé comme suit: - verre trempé durci 8/8 / 1,52, PVB ou autre, pour la classe de ésistance à la poussée de 2 kN/m (200 Kg / m); - trempé durci 10/10 / 1,52 PVB ou autre, pour la classe de résistance à la poussée de 3 kN / m (300 Kg / m).

1e) Modèle NINFA160 Dimension profil 62x160 mm (base x hauteur), apte seulement pour l’installation à l’intérieur d’un muret de hauteur minimum 200m (pour cela il évite tout infiltration d’eau causée par les trous) avec verre feuilleté composé comme suit: - verre trempé durci 8/8 / 1,52, PVB ou autre, pour la classe de résistance à la poussée de 2 kN/m (200 Kg / m); - verre trempé durci 10/10 / 1,52 PVB ou autre, pour la classe de résistance à la poussée de 3 kN / m (300 Kg / m).

2 FONCTIONNALITÉ ET ESTHETIQUE DES GARDE-CORPS NINFA Le profil en aluminium du garde-corps est fourni avec des accessoires spéciaux qui permettent le réglage pour l’ alignement et «la mise à plomb» des panneaux en verre. Ce système de réglage est en barre continue (ou similaire) pour garantir une pression linéaire constante sur les panneaux en verre et éviter la concentration de la pression seulement dans certains points La typologie et la quantité des fixation sur sol/plancher/mur des profils changera par rapport à la classe de résistance demandé par le décret-loi et à la nature du support. Lorsque l’installation sera faite sur une poutre ou sur chape en béton armée, il faudra s’assurer que le béton soit minimum de classe C25/30. Les profils en aluminium installés en apparence, auront une couvertine de habillage anodisée couleur argent classe 15microns ( ou autre couleur sur demande), ou peint avec des poussières époxydiques en RAL 9010 (ou autre couleur sur demande).

3 PERFORMANCE EN CONDITIONS DE POST-RUPTURE Conformément a la note 4 du prospectus 1 de la norme UNI 7697: 2014, pour les profils du système Ninfa sera suffisant d’utiliser un verre feuilleté trempé-durci pour obtenir une résistance résiduelle dans le cas de post-rupture. Il est recommandé d’être extrêmement prudent dans la mise en œuvre du verre durci, qui devra être placé dans la partie comprimée du feuilleté, c’est-àdire dans la partie extérieur en relation a la poussée et aux choc.

4 GARANTIES SUPPLEMENTAIRES SUR LA SÉCURITÉ POST-RUPTURE DU VERRE Afin de assurer la « redondance du système » et obtenir la satisfaction de la vérification à l’état limite de l’effondrement, (SLC) selon le CNR DT210 / 2013, le decret-loi pourra demander que la main courante supérieure soit fixée aux panneaux en verre, de manière à assurer le passage des charges linéaires aux verres intègres adjacent. Telle solution réduirait le risque de effondrement du feuilleté lorsque les deux panneaux en verre sont brisés. A noter que cette solution comporte une majoration du prix à cause de la présence de la main courante.

Plastique rigide. Afin de assurer la « redondance du système » et obtenir la satisfaction de la vérification à l’état limite d’effondrement, (SLC) selon le CNR DT210 / 2013, sans l’utilisation de la main courante supérieure c’est possible d’augmenter les prestations de l’intercalaire plastique. Dans ce cas, les verres seront trempés-trempés (pour une majeure résistance par rapport au verre durci) et accouplés avec des film plastiques rigides appartenant à la famille 3, comme établi dans le prEN 16613 :2013.

Tels systèmes doivent assurer la résistance à la poussée de 3kN/m même avec la rupture d’un verre, et éviter effondrement immédiat du feuilleté en cas de rupture des deux verres. A noter que cette solution comporte une majoration du prix à cause du verre feuilleté avec intercalaire rigide.

L’utilisation des intercalaires rigides appartenant à la famille 3 (prEN 16613:2013), associés à des épaisseurs adéquates de verre trempé, satisfont magnifiquement la vérification de l’état limite d’ effondrement, (SLC) selon le CNR DT210 / 2013, pour les charges variables horizontales des catégoriesC2 et C3 comme indiqué par le décret ministériel 14/1/2008. Cette vérification est beaucoup plus restrictive par rapport à la vérification des états limites ultimes (SLU) car elle prévoit les mêmes charges anthropiques du SLU (avec un temps de retour de 50ans) appliqués à un garde-corps avec un seul verre intègre du feuilleté. La seul vérification du CRN 210/2013 que ne serait pas respectée, serait celle de la déformabilité (état limite d’exercice)que prévoit un limite de flèche, sous les charges d’exercice établies par le décret ministériel 14/01/2008, qui correspondent au inférieur entre d/50 et 25mm (ou « d » indique la hauteur du garde-corps).

5 GARDE-CORPS CONFORME AUX INSTRUCTIONS DU CNR DT 210/2013 Garde-corps / balustrade qui répond aux réquisits imposées par le CNR DT 210/2013 comme Ninfa CNR de Faraone ou similaire.

Profil de dimensions et poids augmenté par rapport à Ninfa 3; la fixation du verre à la base est faite avec un système rigide, de manière à garantir la contrainte d’encastre, en réduisant les «jeux» des diverses composantes.

Le feuilleté à utiliser est toujours un triple vitrage ; comme ça, lorsque un verre est cassé, la vérification de l’état limite d’ effondrement sous les charges d’exercice établies par le décret ministériel 14/01/2008,est toujours garantie. Verre feuilleté : - Trempé (intérieure)- trempé (centrale)-durci (extérieure) 8+8+1.52 PVB o simili, pour la classe de résistance à la poussé de 2kN/m (200Kg/m) - Trempé (intérieure)- trempé (centrale)-durci (extérieure) 10+10+1.52 PVB o simili, pour la classe de résistance à la poussé de 3kN/m (300Kg/m) Lorsqu’il soit demandé une ultérieure réquisit de déformabilité maximale correspondant au inférieur entre d/50 et 25mm (ou « d » indique la hauteur du garde-corps), on utilisera: - Trempé –trempé- trempé 10/10/10/1.52 SG ou similaire, pour une classe de résistance à la poussée de 3kN/m (300Kg/m) et limite d’inflexion inférieur ou égal à 22mm (hauteur du verre 100mm) sous une charge de 3 kN/m.

Cette documentation est le résultat d’une grande campagne d’expérimentes unie à l’expérience Faraone, à travers laquelle nous mettons à disposition de tous les observations sur les nombreux essais réalisés et le comportement/prestations des différents solutions en verre (tout cela est valide seulement avec les produits Faraone). *Les rapports d’essais sur les garde-corps sont réalisés par des laboratoires autorisés par le Ministère des Infrastructures et des Transports. Afin que les essais soient considérés valides, l’éventuelle main courante, ou la partie supérieure du gardecorps, ne doivent pas être fixés aux murs ni aux pilastres. Le lien d’encastre au sol du garde-corps devra nécessairement représenter les conditions moins favorables pour les fixations, pour cela c’est conseillée d’utiliser un support en béton armé fissuré avec classe de résistance maximale C25/30. La certification doit aussi inclure une photo de l’échantillon installé afin de montrer le type d’essai réalisé, et toutes les pages doivent avoir le cachet de l’institut qui certifie.

The glass balustrade system Ninfa (or similar) meets the standards currently in force and has the certifications* which are composed by: - Testing of static load, in accordance with the UNI 10806:1999 standard for places of category C2 (thrust resistance class of 3 kN / m) according to the technical standards for construction (DM 14/01/2008) and its relative circular .

- Dynamic load tests in accordance with the UNI EN 12600: 2004 for a class of minimum benefit 1B1 (fall arrest system) as it is defined by the standard UNI 7697:2014; - Technical drawings with dimensions and size of each component of the balustrade.

In addition, to meet the requisite PR “post-break” - as specified in note 4 of prospect 1 of the UNI 7697 standard, - it is necessary to define the type of laminated glass panels and interlayer film.

1. CHARACTERIZATION of NINFA BALUSTRADES The railing or balustrade of system Ninfa (o similar) is made by an aluminum profile 6063 T6, depending on the choice of the DL, according to the intended use and belonging class.

It is adapted to be installed on the floor, to be drowned into the floor or mounted laterally. Iit is possible to choose between the following models (or similars): 1a) Ninfa 3 model. 2. FUNCTIONALITY AND BEAUTY OF NINFA RAILING The aluminum profile of the railing comes with special accessories that allow adjustment for alignment and “plumbing” of glass panels. This control system comes in continuously bar (or similar) to ensure a constant linear pressure on the glass panels and avoid the concentration of pressure at certain points only.

The typology and quantity of fixing of the profiles to the floor / wall, can change according to the strength class required by the decree and from the kind of the support. When the installation is done on a beam or screed reinforced concrete, it shall be confirmed that the concrete is of a minimum class of C25 / 30.

Aluminum profiles installed “in appearance”, have a 15microns silver anodized cladding carter ( other colors on request), or a painted one, with epoxy dust of RAL 9010 ( other colors on request).

3. PERFORMANCE CONDITIONS OF POST-BREAK According to note 4 of the prospectus 1 of the standard UNI 7697: 2014, for Ninfa system profiles it will be sufficient to use a laminated tempered-hardened glass to obtain a residual postbreak resistance. .It is recommended to be extremely careful when installing the hardened glass, which shall be placed in the compressed portion of the laminated, that is to say in the outside part in relation to thrusts and shocks.

4. ADDITIONAL GARANTEES ON POST-BREAK GLASS SECURITY HANDRAIL. To ensure the “system redundancy” and get the satisfaction of the standard at the limit state of collapse, (SLC) as per the CNR DT210 / 2013, the decree-law may require that a handrail is fixed to every glass panel, in order to ensure the passage of linear loads to adjacent undamaged glasses in case of break. This solution reduces the risk of collapse when the two laminated glass panels are broken. Note that this solution has a price increase because of the presence of the handrail.

RIGID INTERLAYER. To ensure the “system redundancy” and get the satisfaction of the standard at the limit state of collapse (SLC), as per the CNR DT210 / 2013, without the use of an upper handrail, is possible to increase the profits of the plastic interlayer. In this case, the glasses will be tempered-tempered (for greater resistance compared to an hardened glass) and matched with rigid plastics interlayers belonging to the family 3, as established by the EN 16613: 2013.

Such systems shall provide a thrust resistance of 3 kN / m, even with the breaking of a glass and avoid immediate collapse in case of failure of the two glasses. Note that this solution has a price increase because of the laminated glass with rigid interlayer. _ Paragraph to use according to the type of project, to the law and to the requests of the designer The use of rigid interlayers belonging to the family 3 (prEN 16613: 2013), combined with adequate thickness of tempered glass, satisfy very well the verification of the limit state of collapse, (SLC) as per the CNR DT210 / 2013 for variable horizontal loads of category C2 and C3 as indicated by the Ministerial Decree 14/1/2008. This check is much more restrictive with

respect to the verification of the ultimate limit states (SLU) as it provides the same anthropogenic loads SLU (with a payback period of 50 years) applied to a railing with only one upright glass panel of the laminated. The only request of the CRN 210/2013 that would not be met, would be that of the distortion (limit state of use) that provides a deflection limit under the exercise loads established by the Ministerial Decree 14/01/2008, that needs to be equal to the minor between d / 50 and 25mm (where “d” indicates the height of the railing).

5. BALUSTRADE COMPLIES WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS OF CNR DT 210/2013 It regards railing / balustrade that meets the requisites imposed by the CNR DT 210/2013 such as Faraone’s Ninfa or similar.

Profile’s dimensions and weight are increased in comparison with Ninfa 3, the glass is fixed to the base by a rigid system, to ensure that it is stuck in, reducing all possible minimal movement of the various components.

The laminated to use is always a triple glazing; like that, when a glass is broken, the control of the limit state of collapse under the exercise loads established by Ministerial Decree 14/01/2008 is always guaranteed. Laminated glass: - Tempered (internal) - tempered (central) -hardened (external) 8 + 8 + 1.52 PVB or other interlayer, for the thrust resistance class of 2kN / m (200Kg / m) - Tempered (internal) - tempered (central) -hardened (external) 10 + 10 + 1.52 PVB other interlayer, for the thrust resistance class of 3 kN / m (300 kg / m) Whenever it is demanded to have a maximum distortion equal to the minor between d / 50 and 25mm (where “d” indicates the height of the railing), the following laminated shall be used: - Hardened tempered -tempered- 10/10/10 / 1.52 SG or similar interlayer, for the thrust resistance class of 3 kN / m (300 kg / m) and flection limit shall be less than or equal to 22mm (glass height of 100mm) under a load of 3 kN / m.

This document is the result of a major campaign of tests, together with Faraone’s great experience, and makes available to everyone the results of all run tests including all observations and performances of all kind of glass solutions (this is valid only with Faraone products). * The test reports on the railings are made by laboratories authorized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. So that the test to be considered valid, any handrail or the top of the guardrail shall not be attached to walls or pilasters. Link to flush the soil of the railing will necessarily represent the least favorable conditions for fasteners, for it is recommended to use a carrier cracked reinforced concrete with maximum strength class C25 / 30.
