Three apples fell from the sky…

Growing up with fairy tales, children turned into women who wanted to be beautiful like princesses and men who wanted to be as handsome as princes. Social media popularity, selfie fashion, even childhood tales are now in our pockets. We always want more and more. We always wanted to be more beautiful. Of course, the filters were not enough. We aimed that our beauty catches eyes.

I have the closest friends who accompany my good morning like many people have… Oh my dear foundation, my dear powder, my unique blush, my colorful lipsticks, my thin eyeliner, my dark mascara… So glad I have you!

But I’ve always widened my circle. I was not restricted with my face in the mirror… I said that my hair should shine, whether it was like silk, and that I would love it gel.

My dear hair care products, I am glad you are with me!

Yet it was not enough… Because care was beauty… Beauty is limitless and always in need of more. My fragrant creams, perfumes, bright nail polishes and more… I didn’t even want to think what would have happened without you…

Every day I meet new products. I try, I love… I don’t know if you can be as beautiful as fairy tale heroes, but I think the beauty sector is a fairytale world in itself. And living in this world is fascinating enough to worth to imagine…

Masallarla büyüyen çocuklar, prensesler gibi güzel olmak isteyen kadınlara, prensler kadar yakışıklı olmak isteyen erkeklere dönüştü. Sosyal medya popülaritesi, selfie modası derken çocukluk masallarını bile ceplerimize kaldırdık. Hep daha fazlasına el uzatır olduk. Hep daha güzel olmak istedik. Tabii buna filtreler yetmedi.

Güzelliğimiz göze değsin dedik.

Günaydınlarıma eşlik eden, benim de en yakın arkadaşlarım var birçok kişinin olduğu gibi… Ah canım fondötenim, canım pudram, eşsiz allığım, rengarenk rujlarım, ince eyelinerım, koyu maskaram… İyi ki varsınız!

Ama çevremi daha da genişlettim hep. Kısıtlanmadım aynadaki yüzümle… Saçlarım da parlasın, ipek gibi olsun, sevdikçe sevesim gelsin dedim… Sevgili saç bakım ürünlerim, iyi ki benimlesiniz!

Yine yetmedi… Çünkü bakım, güzellikti… Güzellik, sınırsız ve hep fazlasına muhtaç. Güzel kokulu kremlerim, parfümlerim, parlak ojelerim ve daha nicelerim… Siz olmasaydınız ne olurdu düşünmek dahi istemedim…

Her yeni gün yeni ürünlerle tanışıyorum. Deniyorum, seviyorum… Masal kahramanları kadar güzel olunur mu bilmem ama bence güzellik sektörü başlı başına masalsı bir dünya. Ve bu dünyada yaşamak, hayal etmeye değecek kadar büyüleyici…

BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 – A SUCCESS STORY

BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 – BİR BAŞARI HİKAYESİ The most awaited event of the year successfully took place on 2-3-4 October. Thanks to the dedication and long hours of preparation, BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 has blossomed and stood out amongst international events. The storied city of Istanbul was home to over 8,000 international industry professionals. Industry professionals met and conducted business with exhibitors ranging from Brazil to Japan, Sweden to Uganda and various other countries in between.

After 2 years of intense marketing around the globe and attending 466 events, at 129 cities in 105 different countries; BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 took place 2-34 October and surpassed all expectations as not only a regional but a global cosmetics & beauty event. In addition to cosmetics and beauty, BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 covered hair care, nail care, home care, baby care, ingredients, packaging and machinery sectors as well; with a special focus on bringing buyers from Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and South East Asia in addition to the local market and regional markets such as Europe, Balkans, CIS, Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

The success of an exhibition is measured by the combination of local and international presence, both of which were strongly felt at BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019. In its first edition, BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019 hosted more than 316 exhibitors from 52 countries and was more than just an exhibition, it was a gathering of the international beauty community in the historical and majestic city of Istanbul.

BEAUTYISTANBUL’s 3-day compact agenda was focused on B2B meetings with 8,246 industry professionals from 145 countries, international buyers comprising a total

Avrupa, Balkanlar, BDT, Orta Doğu, Orta Asya ve Kuzey Afrika gibi yerel ve bölgesel pazarların yanı sıra Sahra Altı Afrika, Güney Amerika ve Uzak Doğu Asya bölgelerinden alım gücü yüksek önemli alıcılar fuarımızı ziyaret etti.

Bir fuarın başarısı hem yerli hem de yabancı sektör profesyonellerin varlığıyla ölçülür ve BEAUTYISTANBUL 2019’da her ikisi oldukça yoğun hissedildi.

The BEAUTYISTANBUL Team’s aim was not to organize just a traditional exhibition but create an All-In-One event where users can interact with one another before everything begins and follow up in person at the exhibition venue. With O2O online matchmaking, 11,439 registered buyers made enquiries to 3,874 uploaded products and arranged 9,294 meetings with exhibitors.

Orhan Bademli, the hair designer of art and social life, told the hair trends of the autumn season.

Turkey’s longest running health campaign provided free health screenings and awareness-raising activities to draw attention to the importance of early detection in breast cancer.

Türkiye’nin en uzun soluklu sağlık hareketi olan kampanyada, meme kanseriyle mücadelede erken teşhisin önemine dikkat çekmek için ücretsiz sağlık taramaları ve bilinçlendirme etkinlikleri düzenlendi.

This is the 23rd year in AVON’s Fight Breast Cancer Campaign -Turkey’s longest running health movement.

The campaign was held this year with the slogan ‘#mylightispink to highlight breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.

Women came together at My Light is Pink Festival This international campaign’s Turkey step was held in Beşiktaş Square in October the 13th. My Light is Pink Festival is aimed to bring together thousands of women and make their voices heard. The event is aimed to raise money to Memeder and the Turkish Cancer Society and women who struggle with breast cancer. In the event in which Nükhet Duru gave a concert and free health screening were performed.

Reached over 50 million women last year AVON Turkey’s CEO Orkun Gül draws attention that 2 million new cases of breast cancer is reported every year worldwide. He says “according to the scientists, this number will continue to raise exponentially. Especially for hairdressing sector in Turkey since 2008 by taking serious steps we have started to develop products to meet the needs of high-quality professional hairdressers. We offer more than 300 professional products by assuring highest precision and constant quality for men, women hairdressers and barbers.

Packaging is one of the most effective marketing tools.

Packaging design has an important place especially in cosmetic sector. The packaging product is a means of introducing and delivering to the end consumer in the most accurate manner.

Do you have any new projects in 2020?

In 2020, we will introduce the new series of hairdressers and final consumers. We believe that this new series, which will make a difference with its different concept, different textures and different packaging designs, will win the appreciation of the hairdresser and the final consumer.

We see that you are in one- to -one communication with the final consumer through your social channels. Do you have any projects in this area?

Social media is undoubtedly an indispensable habit of all of us in this period. From trade to health, from education to entertainment, it is an active environment in which users exchange information with each other in different sectors and different subjects. We reach the end consumer using our Redist (redistpro) and RedOne (redoneturkiye) brand in an active way in our social media channels.

Markanızı sektörde benimsetmek için yaptığınız çalışmalar nelerdir?

Ambalaj en etkin pazarlama araçlarından biridir. Özellikle kozmetik sektöründe ambalaj tasarımı önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Ambalaj ürünü son tüketiciye en doğru şekilde tanıtan ve ulaştıran bir araçtır. Çok iyi tasarlanmış bir ambalaj tüketicide o ürünü alma ve açma isteği uyandırır.

Eğer ambalaj tüketicinin o ürünü eline almasını sağlamış ise ürünü almasını da sağlayacaktır. Marka tüketici için güvenin sembolüdür. Bizler de Kırmızıgül Ailesi olarak, kazanmış olduğumuz güveni, markamızın hak ettiği şekilde ambalaj tasarımlarımıza yansıtmaya çalışıyoruz. Ürün tasarımcısı olarak tüketicinin isteklerini en iyi ve doğru şekilde analiz ediyor, bu doğrultuda harekete geçebiliyorum. 100’den fazla ülkeye ihracat yapıyor ve 2020 senesinde bunun daha fazlasını hedefliyoruz.

Bazı ülkeler çok renkli, karışık tasarımları beğenirken diğerleri de tam aksine daha minimal tasarımları tercih ediyor ve bizleri de bu şekilde yönlendirebiliyor.

Yeni ürünler çok ses getirecek 2020 yılında yeni projeleriniz var mı?

2020 yılında kuaför ve nihai tüketiciyi, yeni seriler ile tanıştıracağız. Farkı bir konsept, farklı dokular ve farklı ambalajlar tasarımlarıyla çok ses getirecek olan bu yeni serinin, kuaför ve nihai tüketicinin beğenisini kazanacağına inanıyoruz.

Nihai tüketici ile de birebir iletişim içinde olduğunuzu görüyor ve takip ediyoruz sosyal mecralarınızdan. Bu alanda da projeleriniz var mı?

LABEL VALUE IN COSMETIC PRODUCTS

Kozmetik ürünlerde etiket değeri Make sure that the information on the labels on cosmetic products is legible, easily visible and indelible.

Indeed, the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, has issued a general guide in order to specify the factors that are important in the labeling of cosmetic products. Summarizing the information contained herein, there are some criteria to consider in labeling.

The first is the necessity of the manufacturer’s information. The name and address of the manufacturer must be written on the product. For imported products, the origin is required. If the product is to be exported to European countries, the name and address of the responsible person and the product’s origin must be included on the label. If the shelf life of the product is shorter than 30 months, the minimum durability shall include the hourglass symbol and the expiry date indicated on the label or “Must be used best before _____”. If the shelf life of the product is longer than 30 months, the concept of durability after the opening and the time that the product can be used after opening with the open lid symbol should be specified in months and years. The intended use of the product must be on the label and must be in Turkish. If the function of the product can be understood from the presentation mode, it may not be necessary.

Kozmetik ürünlerde yer alan etiketlerdeki bilgilerin okunabilir, kolayca görülebilir ve silinmez olmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Öyle ki, Türkiye İlaç ve Tıbbi Cihaz Kurumu, kozmetik ürünlerin etiketlenmesinde önem taşıyan faktörleri belirtmek adına genel bir kılavuz yayınlamıştır. Burada yer alan bilgiler özetlendiğinde, etiketlemede göz önünde bulundurulması gereken bazı kriterler bulunmaktadır.

Bunlardan ilki, üreticiye ait bilgilerin gerekliliğidir. Üreticinin adı ve adresi ürün üzerinde yazılı halde bulunmak zorundadır. İthal ürünler içinse menşei belirtilmesi şarttır. Ürün, Avrupa ülkelerine de ihraç edilecekse, sorumlu kişinin adı ve adresi, ürün menşei ile birlikte mutlaka etiket üzerinde yer almalıdır. Ürünün raf ömrü 30 ay süreden kısa ise, minimum dayanıklılık süresi kum saati sembolüyle birlikte son kullanım tarihi etikette yazmalı veya “_____ tarihinden önce kullanılmalıdır” ifadesi yer almalıdır. Ürünün raf ömrü 30 aylık süreden fazla ise, açıldıktan sonra dayanıklılık kavramı ve açık kapak sembolüyle beraber ürünün açıldıktan sonra kullanılabileceği süre ay ve yıl olarak belirtilmelidir. Etikette yer alan ürün bileşenleri listesinde bulunan tüm hammaddeler Türkçe bir başlık ile INCI isimleri ile ve % konsantrasyona göre büyükten küçüğe doğru sıra ile yazılmalıdır. %1’den az kullanılan hammaddeler, boyar maddeler ve yönetmeliğe göre belirtilmesi gereken esans bileşenlerinden gelen alerjenler, %1’den fazla miktarda kullanılan hammaddelerden sonra karışık bir sırayla listelenebilir. Renkli kozmetikler ya da renkli dekoratif ürünlerde kullanılan tüm boyar maddeler “içerebilir” veya “ + / - “ sembolü ile listeye eklenmelidir. Ürünün kullanımıyla alakalı özel tedbirler veya yönetmelik eklerinde özellikle üründe bulunması gerektiği belirtilen maddeler mevcutsa, bu uyarılara mutlaka etikette yer verilmelidir ve açıklamalar Türkçe olmalıdır. Yüksek konsantrasyonlarda yanıcı özellik içeren ürünler, UV koruyucu ürünler, saç boyaları ve aeresol kapta satılan ürünler için de etiketlere yazılacak uyarılara mutlaka dikkat etmek gerekir. Ürünün iç ve dış ambalajı üzerinde yeterli alan bulunmuyorsa, yer alması gereken diğer bilgiler, kullanma talimatı veya benzer bir materyal ile verilmelidir.

IKMIB, UPS AND TURKISH AIRLINES AVIATION ACADEMY SIGNED A COOPERATION PROTOCOL

İKMİB, UPS VE TÜRK HAVA YOLLARI HAVACILIK AKADEMİSİ İLE İŞ BİRLİĞİ PROTOKOLÜ İMZALADI Turkey’s top exporting to boost exports in the chemicals sector in the second sector position and perform a variety of activities for member companies to reach different markets, Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), UPS and Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy with “Hazardous Materials Transportation and Education” business cooperation protocol was signed.

Within the scope of cooperation, the member of IKMIB firms may carry out the sample by training IATA certificates which is needed to deliver chemical products classified as hazardous substances. However, cooperation is made, eCPCV (Electronic Commerce Customs Declaration) made with quick export to increase and accelerate the export of small package is expected. In addition, the first 100 representatives of IKMIB members who apply for education will receive a 50 percent discount on tuition fees.

Türkiye’nin en çok ihracat gerçekleştiren ikinci sektörü konumundaki kimya sektöründe ihracatı artırmak ve farklı pazarlara ulaşabilmek amacıyla üye firmalarına yönelik çeşitli çalışmalar gerçekleştiren İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği (İKMİB), UPS ve Türk Hava Yolları Havacılık Akademisi ile “Tehlikeli Maddeler Taşımacılığı ve Eğitimi” iş birliği protokolü imzaladı. İş birliği kapsamında İKMİB’e üye olan firmalar, tehlikeli maddeler sınıfına giren kimyevi ürünlerin gönderimleri için gerekli IATA sertifikası eğitimini alarak numune gönderimini gerçekleştirebilecek. Bununla birlikte yapılan iş birliğinin, ETGB (Elektronik Ticaret Gümrük Beyannamesi) ile yapılan hızlı ihracatın artışına ve küçük paket ihracatına ivme kazandırması bekleniyor.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) President Ismail Gülle said, “Our Chemical Substances sector which closes 2018 with record rise, the second sector that exported most, in the first 8 months of 2019 continues the record performance. The most sustainable way to sustain this performance is to minimize the bureaucratic obstacles faced by our exporters in logistics processes.

“Dangerous Goods Transportation and Training” protocol signed between Turkish Airlines and UPS, one of the world’s largest transportation companies, and IKMIB will fill an important gap in terms of coordination of the services they will provide to our exporters and the closure of information and training deficiencies of our companies in this field. Particularly in the export of “dangerous goods”, the fact that samples sent can be made faster and safer in the digital environment is a big step in obtaining the relevant certificates. The fact that our exporters in every sector reach the right and qualified information in the fastest way will give an important impetus to our global presence. As TIM, we provide the information about the target markets to the foreign trade data, potential customer information, the dynamics of the countries about the products, standardization and certification on digital platforms which our exporters can obtain with a single touch.

Sample access times and costs generated a significant opportunity cost in accessing markets with a perception of distance, such as the United States. With training to be provided, to be given to relevant personnel in accelerating the process of know - how, one of the most important challenges in the sector’s rapid growth and market access in that time, the constraint seeks to minimize. The fact that IKMIB will cover half of the fees of the first 100 applying companies is a very encouraging practice for our exporters.”

UPS Turkey General Manager Burak Kılıç in his speech at the signing ceremony, he said, “As UPS, we focus on how we can pave the way for our exporters in Turkey.

The chemical sector represents more than 10 percent of our exports in the last 12 months and our exporters under the umbrella of IKMIB managed to grow their exports by more than 11 percent in the first 8 months of the year. We have also accelerated our efforts to send samples of chemical products, especially for all shipments, in the scope of removing obstacles in front of our exporters, and we are now able to export dangerous goods by air to 123 countries. With this cooperation protocol, IKMIB member exporters will be trained on hazardous materials and will have the capacity to ship dangerous goods to UPS’s largest economies. With this cooperation, all UPS customers who are members of IKMIB will also benefit from advantageous prices.

Adil Pelister ise, “Dünyanın dört bir yanına, kimyanın 16 alt sektöründe kimyevi madde ve mamulleri ihracatı gerçekleştiren firmalarımız, mevcut ve potansiyel Pazarlar ile ihracat ağını geliştirmek için numune gönderimlerine ihtiyaç duyuyor. Kimya ihracatında yer alan ve çoğu tehlikeli maddeler sınıfına giren ürünlerin numunelerinin iletilmesi kapsamında transfer işlemlerinin sürdürebilmesi için de Tehlikeli Maddeler Kuralları (DGR) sertifikası gerekiyor. UPS Türkiye Genel Müdürü Burak Kılıç da imza töreninde yaptığı konuşmada, “UPS olarak Türkiye’de ihracatçılarımızın önünü nasıl açabileceğimize odaklanıyoruz. Kimya sektörü, son 12 aylık verilere göre ihracatımızın yüzde 10’undan fazlasını temsil ediyor ve İKMİB çatısı altındaki ihracatçılarımız yılın ilk 8 ayında yüzde 11’den fazla oranda ihracatlarını büyütmeyi başardılar. Biz de ihracatçılarımızın önündeki engelleri kaldırma kapsamında kimya sektörümüzün özelde numune, genelde tüm gönderileri için karşılaştıkları tehlikeli madde gönderimi konusunda çalışmalarımızı hızlandırdık ve şu an 123 ülkeye hava yolu ile tehlikeli madde ihracatı yapabilir durumdayız. Special Service for Dangerous Goods from UPS: DG Academy

UPS has taken an important step for Turkish chemical industry through transportation of International Dangerous Goods (IDG) in exceptional amount can be made at present in Turkey with the expansion program (EQ) shipments, in limited quantities by declaration (es) and airliner level (IATA). In this way, it was possible to send and export samples of chemical substances that could not be transported previously or that could not be transported in quantity. UPS, the service sends the appropriate transport by IDG, sending the company’s IATA certified for export to the condition that the employee can be performed. Companies with IATA certification will also be able to receive their export and practical training with DG Academy.

UPS Turkey will accept samples and export shipments of exceptional, limited quantity and passenger plane levels from Istanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Izmir, and Ankara cities. Shipments from these cities can be delivered to the delivery address abroad by Express transportation in a short time.

Türk Hava Yolları Havacılık Akademisi’nden IATA Sertifikası Yapılan iş birliği kapsamında Türk Hava Yolları Havacılık Akademisi tarafından İKMİB’e üye firmalara, Tehlikeli Maddeler Kuralları (DGR / Kategori 1,2,3,6) TemelTazeleme Eğitimleri’ne ilişkin usul ve esasların eğitimi verilecek. Eğitimi başarıyla tamamlayan katılımcılar, IATA ve TMKT (Tehlikeli Mal ve Kombine Taşımacılık Düzenleme Genel Müdürlüğü) onaylı sertifikaya sahip olacak.

UPS’ten Tehlikeli Maddeler İçin Özel Servis: DG Akademi UPS, Uluslararası Tehlikeli Maddeler (IDG) genişletme programı ile Türkiye’de halihazırda yapılabilen istisnai miktarda (EQ) gönderileri, deklarasyon ile sınırlı miktarda (LQ) ve yolcu uçağı seviyesinde (PAX) taşımaya geçerek Türk kimya sektörü için önemli bir adım attı.

Böylelikle daha önce taşınması mümkün olmayan ya da miktar olarak taşınamayan kimyevi maddelerin, uygun ülkelere numune gönderimini ve ihracatını mümkün hale getirdi. UPS, IDG servisi ile taşınması uygun olan gönderilerin, gönderici firmanın IATA sertifikalı çalışanı olması koşulu ile ihracatını gerçekleştirilebiliyor.

IATA sertifikasına sahip çalışanı olan şirketler aynı zamanda ihracat ve pratik eğitimlerini DG Akademi ile alabilecekler.

UPS Türkiye, İstanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Ankara ve İzmir’den istisnai, sınırlı miktar ve yolcu uçağı seviyelerinde numune ve ihracat gönderilerini kabul edebilecek. Bu şehirlerden alınan gönderiler, Express taşımacılığı ile yurt dışındaki teslimat adresine kısa sürede teslim edilebilecek.
