WELCOME TO THE A Decade of Excellence

ISLEWORTH COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL Each year, this collegiate golf tournament brings together the finest teams in the nation for three days of competitive golf on Isleworth Golf & Country Club’s legendary course. Texas Tech University and the University of Central Florida return to host the 10th edition of the ICI featuring 10 of the top 20 teams in the country, including defending ICI Champion California and current National Champion Alabama, Division I powerhouses Illinois, New Mexico, Texas, UNLV and Vanderbilt as well as hometown favorites Florida State and North Florida. LSU, TCU, Arkansas and GRU Augusta round out the best tournament field in college golf. Serving as the host site since 2004, Isleworth’s course is consistently ranked one of the longest and toughest in the nation and is the home course to many of today’s top touring professionals. Tavistock Group, along with Texas Tech and UCF, are committed to making this event an experience rivaling that of a PGA TOUR tournament by providing a challenging tournament field and a top-conditioned course combined with exceptional player hospitality and welcome gifts. The Isleworth Collegiate Invitational hosted by Texas Tech and UCF would not exist without the continuing support of our generous sponsors. We extend our appreciation to the entire Isleworth staff and volunteers for their commitment to college golf. We are grateful for the countless hours they contribute to make this tournament a success.

We thank you for joining us at Isleworth Golf & Country Club for the 2013 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational.

2013 ICI PREVIEW By: Jim Nugent Can it really be ten years? That’s how long ago the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational was launched. When the tournament made its debut in 2004, it was not obvious that it was needed or would prosper. After all, the fall men’s collegiate schedule was already well established, with traditional events taking place almost every week. Flash forward ten years later, and the ICI has long since established itself as the premiere men’s event of the Fall. Much of the success had to do with the determination of the Tavistock Group, the owner of Isleworth, to do it “right.” By right, I mean first class in every single respect. Still more of the success is attributed to the the golf course, one of the very best in the state of Florida which serves as home to numerous PGA TOUR and LPGA players. The 2013 event promises to be the best yet, with arguably the finest field assembled in the last decade. It includes the top three teams from the 2013 season; national champion Alabama, defending ICI Champion California, and Texas. Each team returns key players from last year; Alabama features veterans Bobby Wyatt and Cory Whitsett, while California brings back three of the five team members who made college golf history in 2013-14. Texas will likely play two precocious freshman, Beau Hossler and Gavin Hall. Both were highly sought after recruits who will play a lot of rounds for Texas this year. Ten years in, the ICI keeps getting better and better.

ISLEWORTH GOLF COURSE A HOLE-BY-HOLE GUIDE The history of Isleworth’s golf course is as storied as its original designer. When golf legend Arnold Palmer first saw Isleworth, he realized it was the ideal setting to build a legendary golf course. Weaving through rolling hills, around pristine lakes and amid grand oak and cypress trees, Isleworth’s picture-perfect course layout was possible because Palmer carved it into 600 undeveloped acres of citrus groves before plotting a single home site. Palmer’s genius vision, combined with golf architect Steve Smyers’ redesign of the course almost 20 years later, have made Isleworth one of the world’s truly great courses. Today, Isleworth members credit the course as being both scenically stunning and the ultimate test of golf.
