Dear Members,
Central Florida and Isleworth in springtime are always filled with beautiful weather and important Club activities The past several months at the Club have brought exciting, well-supported events including Fenders & Food Trucks which returned for its 10th year The weather was lovely and the car collection was spectacular
The reopening of the golf course in January was a significant milestone for the Club The golf course shines this time of year and the Club events are some of the most popular at Isleworth Your Isleworth team remains dedicated to creating and curating new initiatives and programs which create new ways for you and your families to enjoy the Club.
Looking ahead, we have many new events and some highly anticipated Club favorites including the Dock & Dine party at Shades during Bay Hill week:

Join us for an exciting tradition and fun family day of exercise.
Over the coming months, we have several improvements to the Club and new projects planned which will enhance our Isleworth Member experience. The addition of three new pickleball courts are permitted and construction work is expected to begin in March; a new Technogym fitness suite will be added to our second floor gym/fitness area replacing the MedEx equipment, and a new fixed boat dock will be installed in April; our parking lot resurfacing and renovation of the north practice tee area and putting green will all be done in June.
We want to thank the Membership for their support with the golf course refurbishment and reopening practices all staged to ensure we have the best and most enduring conditions for our championship course. Brett, Sam and their entire teams also appreciate the wonderful Member feedback on the course. It is wonderful to have it open again
The team appreciates strong Member support and the high level of participation in all Club activities and programming which just underscores the strong community atmosphere we all enjoy here at Isleworth

Interview with Holden Nieto, Chef de Cuisine
Holden is a valuable and creative member of the Isleworth Culinary Team, sharing the story of how his journey began as an artist with a passion for sustainability
When did you start working in kitchens?
Straight out of high school, I had a job at a restaurant called TEAK It was a cool gastro-bar-type venue I started working front of house for about a year and then saw the creative opportunity in the kitchen, where I spent the next year working
Did you always want to be a chef?
At school, I loved art. All through high school, I took art classes and was inspired by my art teacher. She taught me so much about art history and helped fuel my passion for painting and drawing. My work was more abstract, and I loved to follow artists like Salvador Dalí and Keith Haring. I needed to work and saw that training as a chef would help me channel the creativity I had enjoyed at school.
Are your parents in hospitality?
My dad is in hospitality and has worked as a cook My mom works in event management and is very detailoriented She has been a big inspiration for me as a chef My parents support my passion for the work and are proud of my success Since I had no formal training at culinary school, my mom would help by buying me all the cookbooks I asked for!
Without formal training, how difficult was your journey to becoming a Chef de Cuisine?
I worked at great restaurants, looked for opportunities through friends, and showed up to learn When I first went to Norman’s, which was then based at the Ritz-Carlton, I worked for free on my days off to learn and show what I could do I did this for a month, and then when a position became available, I was offered the job I was only 21 but dedicated to becoming successful
I grew a lot under Chef Andres Mendoza Chef and the team taught me the basics of culinary cuisine that others would have learned in school But I pushed myself and sought out all the techniques I needed that I hadn’t learned in a formal setting I think it was harder for me, but I was more driven
Who is your favorite chef?
I have a few favorites. One is Jeremy Fox, chef-owner of Rustic Canyon. The ethos in his restaurants is all about the source and sustainability buying from people in the area and supporting the local economy.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you still paint and draw?
Art is a great outlet for me and very therapeutic. I paint and draw occasionally, but I still get to be creative on the plate. I like being with my family, my girlfriend, Holly, and our two French Bulldogs, Rocco and Tommy. I love football and am a big Eagles fan I was off this year for the Super Bowl, and I made food for my family I’m not always expected to cook, but I enjoy doing it
Tell us about one of your favorite plates you created at Isleworth. It was back in December Dishes we create for our special wine dinners are selected and brought to our weekly features I designed and produced a halibut dish in Romesco sauce All the ingredients were responsibly sourced, and the dish had the perfect balance of flavors, with no ingredient being dominant or overpowering

Lake transportation passes are limited and can be obtained in person from Director of Membership Cindy Wright Members must have their tournament credentials and transportation pass to use the boat shuttle, which departs Isleworth at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM, and returns from Bay Hill at 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM
Boat passes are available from the Membership office on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 30 minutes before you wish to depart You must have a special shuttle pass to go on the boats, limited to two guests per Member, and all guests must be accompanied by a Member.

Our Culinary Team is embracing eco-friendly practices to make a lasting impact on our environment We strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for our community by encouraging composting and waste reduction
One of our key initiatives is composting food scraps, including vegetable peels, rinds, eggshells, and coffee grounds, rather than sending them to landfills These organic materials are collected and repurposed into nutrient-rich compost, which helps enrich soil, support plant growth, and reduce overall waste
These small but meaningful steps not only lessen our environmental impact but also contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future for our community.

Course Reopening Update
After a year of hard work, sweat, and even tears, I’m proud to say that our course is officially open and it’s looking better than ever. There were several days when I didn’t think we would ever reach this point.
The road to get here wasn’t always smooth between the downpours, washouts, and hurricanes this summer, it was only fitting that Mother Nature hit us with several weeks of cold temperatures and frost as soon as we opened! It felt like we were constantly keeping up with a moving target Through it all, we pushed forward and got it done
A huge thank you goes out to my amazing team, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get us where we are today. Their dedication and hard work made this possible, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to tackle this project with
And to all of you, our wonderful Members thank you for your patience and support. I know the waiting wasn’t easy, but it’s been great to see your enthusiasm for the new course I truly believe we’ve created something special, and I’m confident it will be well worth the wait This summer, we will continue to improve upon what was started last year through cultural practices.
I look forward to seeing everyone out there and hope you’ll enjoy this new chapter as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing it to life

Club Championship Weekend is open to all Golf Members. Competitions will include the Men’s and Women’s Club Championship, Senior and Super Senior Club Championship, Junior Club Championship, and Net events for all divisions. The format will be 36 holes of stroke play for all divisions except the Junior division. Registration is open until the week of the event

Construction to begin: Late May - Early June 2025
In our continuing efforts to improve the Member experience at Isleworth, we will be renovating the south end of the driving range starting in late spring.
The south end driving range tee, along with the teaching tee adjacent to the putting green, will be sprayed to eliminate the existing overseed and 419 Bermuda Grass Once properly prepped, the team will strip, level, and regrass both playing surfaces with Bimini Bermuda, the same turf used on the course.
At the same time, we will reconstruct the green closest to the shed, building it to proper USGA specifications to maximize drainage and consistency
These ongoing efforts will continue next summer as we plan to renovate the short game area in the summer of 2026
