ISLE OF MAN STAMPS & COINS On July 5th 1973 the Isle of Man Post Office Authority officially became an independent Postal Administration.

Independence heralded the beginning of Isle of Man stamps specifically designed for exclusive use in the Isle of Man - this landmark occasion resulted in a new collecting area for philatelists and Manx stamps soon made their mark with collectors all over the world.

Our international award-winning stamp issues are recognised worldwide for innovation. Our talented stamp designers and artists are masters of presenting these miniature ‘works of art’ perfectly whilst the story behind the stamps are explored and written by our knowledgeable group of researchers who know the topics inside out.

We pride ourselves that our customer-first policy is second to none with our no quibble returns policy and free worldwide delivery as standard.

A MESSAGE FROM ONE OF OUR PARTNERS Of all the ways and in all forms that I have shown my work, from album covers, books, posters, cards and calendars, this project has easily been one of the most exciting for me. Inevitably, childhood stamp collecting played a part. Even then, when almost overwhelmed by the amazing insights into history that they provide, and surrounded by the places depicted, it was always aesthetic satisfaction that was the driving motivation.

My paintings are landscapes that are mostly inaccessible; stamps are the means of paying for the passage of messages from place to place, I love the purposefulness of that. - ROGER DEAN Roger Dean

In July we travelled to the Starmus conference in Tenerife to present Professor Stephen Hawking with a framed set of the 100 Years of General Relativity Stamps which he features on.

‘the Parish’ traces its roots back to 1913 and the ‘Parish Walking Match’. for more than a century it has been an integral part of Manx life, and today is the Island’s biggest and most popular mass participation sports event. the full route is effectively a lap of the whole Island starting and finishing in Douglas. Participants can choose to walk to one of the 15 checkpoints at parish churches along the route or take on the ultimate challenge to complete the full 85 miles in under 24 hours (the course record of 14hrs 40mins 08secs was set by Manxman richard Gerrard in 2015).

Cancelled to Order (CTO): Mint stamps that have been cancelled while still in sheet format prior to being separated into individual or blocks of stamps.

First Day Cover: A specially designed envelope on which a full set of stamps, or a miniature sheet, is affixed and cancelled on the first day of issue.

Presentation Packs: Packs containing a set of stamps or miniature sheet inserted within a clear acetate mounted black card. The outer cover contains details of the stamps and a short narrative of the issue subject.

Coins: Cupro-nickel and supplied in a plush hard-shelled box, unless otherwise stated.
