9-DAY MAINE ITINERARY The city of Portland, Maine is a fusion of Victorian Architecture and trendy design, salty fishermen and fresh millennials, local fare and fine purveyors. Arrive at Portland International Jetport and within minutes you will be settling in on your yacht at Fore Points Marina, the state’s newest mega-yacht marina.

Let the adventure begin...

DAY 1

PORTLAND Take in bucolic lighthouses and the rugged Maine coastline with Summer Feet Cycling Adventures. You will stop at Fort Williams to tour Portland Headlight, explore the forts and stroll along the cliff walk.

In the afternoon, grab a book and hunker down at one of our stunning secluded beaches or stroll the cobblestone streets and boutique shops of the Old Port.

Watch the sunset on the city from the top of Bayside Bowl. This rooftop venue is outfitted with a full-service bar, Mexican food truck, and good times for all!

DAY 2 PORTLAND

Spend day two taking in what makes Portland great by eating and drinking your way through the city.

Take a ride with the Maine Brew Bus to sample local beers, take in the culture, and meet our brew masters.

Follow up your tour by dining at one of our award-winning restaurants for fresh seafood and innovative cocktails.

Top your night off with a concert at Thompson’s Point, a casual outdoor arena featuring national acts and local brews.

DAY 3 PORTLAND

On day three, experience one of Maine’s most stunning resources. Adrenaline junkies can book an adventure surfing at Higgins Beach, or hire an experienced guide for some thrilling white water rafting. For a softer adventure go with a wine sail in Casco Bay, or opt for a leisurely float down the Saco River.

Continue the fun by visiting some of our favorite places to food-and-cocktail hop.

DAY 4

BOOTHBAY HARBOR

Your next destination is the charming village of Boothbay Harbor. Don’t miss the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, the largest public gardens in the country where you can arrive by land or tender.

After you stroll the many acres of vibrant color, you will go to Boothbay Craft Brewery at the Watershed Tavern boasting heavy post and beam construction and a neighborly atmosphere.

Later, explore the village - be sure to have a rooftop cocktail while mingling with the locals.

Boothbay Harbor (35 NM from Portland) is a beautiful and quaint mid-Maine stopping point between Casco Bay and Penobscot Bay. It offers low-lying islands, promontories off the mainland, and pockets of water that beckon exploration as well as idyllic flat waters for sailing. The relaxed camaraderie of the locals and lobstermen will make you feel like a native.

DAY 5

BAR HARBOR 47,000 acres of ocean, forests, lakes, and mountains is the landscape of Acadia National Park. Choose a vigorous 20 mile bike-loop up Cadillac Mountain, or hike a moderate trail to the summit. Either way, absorb breathtaking views with our guides assuring your delight and safety.

After this invigorating excursion, quench your thirst with a sampling from Atlantic Brewing Company.

Spend the evening strolling the town, or pop in to a show - try Improve Acadia for some good local laughs.

Bar Harbor (77 NM from Boothbay Harbor)is a town on Mount Desert Island along Maine’s Frenchman Bay serving as a gateway to the mountains and cliffs of Acadia National Park. Towering over the park, Cadillac Mountain has trails and views of the town, the bay and the Cranberry Islands. From the town pier, the Shore Path winds along the bay overlooking the Porcupine Islands.

DAY 6

BAR HARBOR

Today is a thrilling one as you experience the island from above with Scenic Flights of Acadia.

The helicopter tour provides a unique perspective of lighthouses, the national park and Somes Sound.

Before delighting in a scrumptious dinner on the yacht, take a tour and slurp some oysters at Glidden Point Oyster Farm - one of Maine’s premier oyster producers.

Rockland (45NM from Bar Harbor) is a classic Maine coastal town and one of the biggest shipping centers of lobster in the world. It has been deemed the “Coolest Small Town in US” by Budget Travel, "Top Adventure Town in Maine"

DAY 7

ROCKLAND As you cruise back to Portland, spend the night at another charming mid-coast village. Dock at Journey’s End in Rockland, a classic family operated marina adjacent to Main Street.

Take the morning to stroll through the town before you visit Owl’s Head Transportation Museum full of vintage vehicles and aircraft. Other museums to choose from include the Maine Lighthouse Museum and the nationally recognized Farnswoth Art Museum.

In the evening, meet one of Maine’s most eclectic chefs and Maine Chef of the Year, Kerry Alterio, while enjoying his creative cuisine at Cafe’ Miranda.

DAY 8 PORTLAND

Visit the Winslow Homer Studio and sit on the rock where he painted “Weatherbeaten.� Then, experience the majestic Merril Auditorium with a night of theater, or watch the dancers fly at the Portland Ballet. The first Friday of each month, walk the city to view famous and local artists, along with rising designers from the Maine College of art.

DAY 9 PORTLAND

Take your last day to try Paddle Board Yoga, or an exclusive guided kayaking tour through Casco Bay. See Portland’s working waterfront, visit the forts, or event camp overnight under the stars. Finish the day out with a round of fresh Oysters and Rose at The Shop.

DAY 10 Disembark for your flight home from Portland International Jetport.
