WHO WE ARE Islamic Relief works in over 40 countries worldwide, providing life-saving humanitarian aid to those in need, and fighting poverty through sustainable development projects. We help impoverished communities access basic services, including education, water, sanitation, and healthcare. Through livelihood projects, skills development and mentorship, we help communities break the cycle of poverty. Our integrated approach to progress helps transform lives worldwide. Inspired by faith, we serve everyone in need regardless of gender, race or religion.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE B A N G L A D E S H CLEAN WATER & SHELTER FOR REFUGEES Supporting Rohingya refugees to have safe and secure shelter, as well as establishing clean water systems with equal access to washing facilities that are user-friendly and genderappropriate, with a special focus on women and children.
CLEAN WATER & SAFE SPACES FOR REFUGEES Establishing sanitary water systems and private bathing spaces for women and children, distributing hygiene and household supplies. Supporting the establishment of over 30 women and child-friendly spaces that provide counselling, education and activities.
EMERGENCY FLOODS RESPONSE Delivering support to help restore livelihood and reduce food insecurity to households affected by flooding in Sirajganj and Jamalpur.
EMERGENCY FLOODS RESPONSE Providing safe water access, hygiene and sanitation conditions to flood affected areas and creating accessible income for vulnerable households.

Helping the families and children of the Quebec Mosque shooting, through education scholarships. Helping the victims and families of the Humboldt Broncos accident, as well as supporting youth programs and family safety in the community.
Providing language training and social integration support through dedicated organizations providing culturallysensitive support to Syrian refugees in Edmonton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Providing meals to the homeless and distributing food baskets during Ramadan, as well as Qurbani/Udhiya shares for Eid Al-Adha to families in need.

PREVENTING GENDER BASED VIOLENCE
MENTORING VULNERABLE YOUTH
Facilitating friendship and cultural programming with schools and children in over 20 Indigenous communities, including workshops and meetings with leaders. Working with young Indigenous mothers, providing sustainable mentorship programs and resources to increase maternal health and wellness, education and sustainable income.
Providing support across Canada to help prevent and respond to violence against women and children, engaging and rehabilitating the behaviour of abusive fathers through culturally-sensitive programs and specialized support. Establishing an after-hours support line as well as support groups and professional clinic services for women.
Providing mentorship, guidance and support to marginalized and high-risk youth through direct mentorship, athletic sports, personal development, and community involvement. Facilitating safe spaces and counselling for students on campus, as well as counselling, and counter-radicalization therapy to vulnerable youth at risk for gang violence, as well as incarcerated converts and young offenders on parole.

Providing education to Rohingya refugee children by establishing a new school. Classes are customized to cater to the specific needs of the children, and focus on increasing literacy and knowledge.

Keeping orphans in school by providing free health services and counselling for the whole family, through mobile clinics and referral systems with contracted hospitals.
Supporting the operation of a charity hospital in partnership with the Shahid Afridi Foundation, that provides free services to poor families in 14 villages. Support includes quality equipment, vaccines and medicines, and retaining medical staff.
Providing urgent medical supplies and parts for equipment and ambulances, as well as direct support to health providers and medical staff to improve service for those affected by escalating violence.
