Introduction Who We Are The Inspire Program is a volunteer abroad initiative that offers Canadians the chance to work alongside Islamic Relief’s teams on the ground. This experience allows volunteers to gain insight into the transformative impact of our work and learn from the experiences of our local teams and the rights-holders we support.

Inspire volunteers work closely with orphaned children, disadvantaged families, and underserved communities through activities designed to bridge socioeconomic gaps. This experience not only cultivates a network of changemakers across Canada, but allows volunteers to grow as leaders committed to creating lasting change.

INTRODUCTION

What Makes Inspire Unique More than just a volunteer experience, the Inspire Program provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to better understand the challenges different communities face.

Through months of preparation, participants engage in skill-building activities such as fundraising, activity planning, and team collaboration. Then, in a 10-day volunteer journey, participants work alongside Islamic Relief’s field offices to implement thoughtfully designed initiatives that address the local needs of the country they’re in.

This year, the Inspire Program launched a new stream called Inspire Medical, sending Canadian doctors and technicians to Nairobi, Kenya, to perform hundreds of cataract eye surgeries. This addition to the program reflects its expanding scope and commitment to addressing critical healthcare needs in underserved regions.

The journey doesn’t end upon their return to Canada. Participants are encouraged to apply what they’ve learned at home through passion projects that use the insights and skills gained from the program. Many go on to join Islamic Relief Canada’s regional teams, continuing to develop as leaders while spearheading meaningful initiatives in their own communities.

As the Inspire community continues to grow, so does its impact.

LEADERSHIP A Message From Our CEO Over the last few years, I have watched the Inspire program make a tremendous impact on countless lives, thanks to the dedication of its participants. Despite the difficulties our Ummah has faced in recent years, our Inspire changemakers have continued to elevate their impact on the communities we serve.

I always look forward to connecting with Inspire volunteers when they return from their trips, knowing that their stories will be filled with excitement and passion. Over the years, one thing has become abundantly clear - volunteers return as changemakers, fully committed to a life of service.

I am thankful for all the stories I’ve heard, the volunteers I met, and the progress we’ve made together. As we reflect on this year, it’s important to remember that the impact of your work extends far beyond today and tomorrow. A Message from the Chair of the Board I have been fortunate enough to be part of the Islamic Relief family for many years now, and witnessing the Inspire program in action has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey here.

The Inspire program offers so much opportunity for growth, but above all, provides an opportunity for us and for future changemakers to deeply understand the value of service and how to serve Allah (SWT) and His creation. I pray that more and more people are given the opportunity to join Inspire, connect with their brothers and sisters from around the world, and take part in this life changing experience.

At Islamic Relief Canada, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders—individuals who bring hope and change wherever it’s needed.

2024 INSPIRE TRIPS 2024 Inspire Trips in Review In 2024, the Inspire Program experienced significant growth. We were joined by 282 dedicated volunteers in eight different countries, including Pakistan, South Africa, Bosnia, Türkiye, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Kenya!

Here’s a recap of our remarkable year.

PAKISTAN TRIP HIGHLIGHTS COHORT 1 | April 24 – May 3 18 Volunteers $98,494.11 Fundraised Mentor - Dr. Tarek Faid

Islamabad, Pakistan Overview of the Trip In April and October 2024, two Inspire cohorts traveled to Islamabad, Pakistan and engaged with rights-holders, visited Islamic Relief projects, and actively contributed to communities.

• Organized psychosocial support activities for 120 orphans at the Pak-Turk Maarif School focusing on: ○ Interactive educational activities ○ Financial literacy education • Prepared and delivered food packages to families in the region, gaining insights into the challenges faced by refugee communities.

• Engaged with youth who benefitted from our Orphan Sponsorship Program, allowing volunteers to gain a firsthand look at how their contributions positively affected the local community.

Empowering Youth and Enhancing Education Your donations have created lasting change, particularly at Sohan School for Girl’s, where new science and computer labs have replaced outdated ones. Through Islamic Relief Pakistan’s Power to Youth initiative, orphans have gained leadership and advocacy skills and have taken an active role in advancing their learning. The Inspire Summer Camp has also supported 180 orphans in the past two years, enhancing their confidence and social skills.

Sakina | Volunteer

Umer Shehzad was only three years old when his father passed away in 2011. Umer’s mother, who worked tirelessly as a housekeeper to sustain her family, recently suffered a severe bike accident, which left her with serious leg injuries that have confined her to bed. With their primary income source cut off, Umer’s elder brother took on a job as a sweeper, and Umer now helps care for his mother and manages household tasks.

During the Inspire Pakistan 2023 trip, Sakina Carbide met Hifzah, a deaf orphan in the cohort. Sakina initially aimed to assist Hifzah using American Sign Language (ASL), but with guidance from the Islamic Relief Pakistan team, she adapted to Pakistan Sign Language (PSL) to better meet her needs.

During Sakina’s time there, medical assessments revealed that Hifzah could benefit from hearing aids.

In 2014, Umer began receiving sponsorship support after his mother reached out to Islamic Relief Pakistan to explain their situation. The team assessed their needs and provided food packs and hygiene kits through the Inspire program – a lifeline for Umer and his family.

Grateful for the support, Umer’s mother expressed heartfelt thanks, emphasizing how vital this assistance has been during their time of need.

Having developed a deep commitment to supporting Hifzah, Sakina took it upon herself to fund the hearing aids and allow Hifzah to hear the world for the first time.

Sakina returned to Pakistan as part of the Inspire 2024 cohort to reunite with Hifzah and personally oversee the delivery of the hearing aids. This heartwarming initiative is one of Sakina’s many passion projects with Islamic Relief Canada, reflecting her deep dedication to transforming lives and creating meaningful change.

Sheikh Sadique Pathan | Trip Mentor

One of the most moving moments was meeting graduates from the youth ambassador program—former students in the orphans’ program who exemplified the impact of donations. Some had lifted their families out of poverty, including a doctor and a member of the Olympic gold medal field hockey team. This experience with Inspire was deeply uplifting and humbling. I cherish every individual I met, from my fellow cohort to the Islamic Relief teams, and pray they are rewarded in this life and the next.

JazakAllah for the incredible opportunity to serve as a mentor for the Inspire Pakistan cohort. It was truly inspiring to engage with the volunteers directly and work alongside the dedicated Islamic Relief teams from both Pakistan and Canada. I was honoured to have met with our rights-holders in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which was both humbling and motivating. The emphasis on acceptance and inclusion made the Inspire experience truly special. I look forward to contributing to future Inspire projects.

Cape Town, South Africa Overview of the Trip • This year, we organized two impactful volunteering trips to Cape Town, South Africa, with the first cohort also visiting Johannesburg during their travels.

• Inspire changemakers facilitated psychosocial support programs for 80 orphans at the Al Noor Education Center, and 100 orphans sponsored through Islamic Relief, focusing on: ○ Interactive educational activities ○ Financial literacy education • Packaging and distributing non-perishable food items and hygiene kits to vulnerable families.

• Rehabilitation of a school in a rural area.

• Visiting critical care patients at Cape Town Hospital and distributing hygiene kits.

• Exploring historical sites and landmarks to deepen their understanding of the country’s history.

The Right to Education

Your generous donations have had a lasting impact on families and children in Skaapkraal. With over 60 stationary backpacks and 200 food hampers distributed, struggling families received the nourishment they needed to face difficult times with dignity. At TLC School, 6 classrooms were transformed into vibrant and engaging learning environments, and 30 orphaned children received school uniforms and supplies. To them, this meant more than just school essentials—it restored their confidence and reaffirmed their right to education.

Volunteers also created lasting connections and meaningful bonds with the rights-holders that will continue to echo in the lives of the children and their families.

Reflections Zaid Al-Rawni | Mentor The Inspire Program was a truly meaningful experience for everyone involved. Over nine days, I saw people connect with communities facing challenges most of us can’t imagine.

Each day was a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and the unity of the Ummah that brings us together no matter where we are.

Inspire helps foster a sense of responsibility for the world around us, and strong bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

It’s amazing to see how serving others and reflecting on those experiences can bring people closer to Allah and to one another.

Inspire isn’t just a program, it’s a journey that stays with you long after it ends.

Tuzla and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina Overview of the Trip In June and July 2024, the Inspire program hosted three cohorts in Tuzla and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

• Volunteers provided psychosocial support for 180 orphans, incorporating fun activities like a scavenger hunt, as well as sessions on budgeting and financial management.

• Volunteers delivered food packs, and conducting home visits, and learned from Bosnian families and communities.

• They visited Islamic Relief projects, the Srebrenica memorial, attended the annual Janazah, and explored local museums to gain a deeper understanding of Bosnia’s history.

Realization of Educational and Agricultural Potentials (REAP) Your generous donations support the REAP project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, benefiting 156 families. The project has provided 32 greenhouses, 64 poultry units, 11 cows, and 93 sheep to enhance agricultural production.

Additionally, 200 rightsholders received food packages and offered specialized training in greenhouse farming, poultry farming, and digital marketing to 56 participants.

The Inspire Summer Program (ISC) has worked with 250 orphans over the past two years, building their confidence and social skills. The ongoing connection with Canadian volunteers has been instrumental in offering emotional support and a sense of belonging for the children.

Mishal Khan | Volunteer

Semira is 58-year-old mom of three with a background in agriculture. Despite her background and experience, she never had the financial means to invest in a greenhouse— until she received one from Islamic Relief. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she shared, “I get goosebumps when I think about it. I have never received anything in my life, and I am so happy and satisfied.”

Of all the countries I’ve traveled to, my experience in Bosnia truly stands out. The level of effort and planning put in by the Inspire Team was exceptional. Thanks to their dedication, I not only experienced the country in its most authentic form, but also gained two lifelong best friends. The food, the culture, the joy I felt in Bosnia — it’s an experience that cannot be replaced. I pray for the chance to travel with Inspire again, and I hope to leave an even greater impact on the world with each new adventure.

With the new greenhouse, Semira plans to grow vegetables to sell and create homemade products like sauces, ajvar, and salads. Her goal is to support herself and her family by selling produce by the roadside and building a sustainable income.

Chihab Kaab | Mentor The Inspire trip to Bosnia with Islamic Relief was memorable and life-changing experience for everyone involved, including myself. It allowed us to gain a deep understanding of Bosnia, the genocide, and the impactful work Islamic Relief is doing, leaving us with a profound sense of purpose.

Istanbul, Turkiye Overview of the Trip • In August 2024, the Inspire Program guided two cohorts in Istanbul, Türkiye.

• Providing psychosocial support for 100 Turkish, Syrian, and Uyghur orphans through educational activities, practical budgeting exercises during shopping trips, etc.

• Organizing engaging field trips, including visits to one of Istanbul’s largest mosques and KidZania, where children explored various careers in a fun atmosphere.

• Volunteers conducted impactful home visits, as well as assembled hygiene and food packs for orphan families.

Psychological support for orphans in Türkiye

Stories from the Ground Selfless in a Time of Need

Your generous donations support ongoing projects with Islamic Relief Türkiye, directly benefiting orphans and refugee children. These initiatives focus on personal development through interactive sessions, including discussions, games, and art. Your contributions provide crucial psychological support, connecting children and families with professional psychological assistance when needed. This work is key to improving the mental health and social skills of orphans, helping them integrate into society. Your continued support is essential in making a meaningful, lasting impact on these children’s lives.

During a shopping trip as part of the Inspire program, an unforgettable moment unfolded that revealed the depth of generosity and resilience among the children we served.

One volunteer accompanied two young boys, who were thrilled by the rare opportunity to shop for themselves.

One of the boys, despite his limited budget, carefully set aside enough money to purchase an outfit for his newborn niece. As the trip continued, the sense of community deepened. A group of friends also put together their remaining funds and bought a water bottle for another participants sister—something she had quietly admired but couldn’t afford.

Through these small but meaningful experiences, the children demonstrated that even in hardship, generosity goes a long way.

Reflections Azaan | Volunteer This experience is something I can’t put into words. I hope to use my experiences when I return to Canada and take part in projects that can improve my community and people around me inshaAllah. I’ve started to discover a new side of myself—one that shows more compassion toward everyone and everything around me. This experience has reminded me that, as Muslims and as humans, we should do more and strive for greater things. We must continually push ourselves to achieve more and work toward a better future for all.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Overview of the Trip In September 2024, the Inspire Program led a cohort in Malaysia, working with orphans of Rohingya, Syrian, Yemeni, and Palestinian backgrounds.

• Volunteers facilitated psychosocial support activities that provided both educational value and hands-on learning.

• The team also extended its support to vulnerable families, packaging and distributing hygiene kits and non-perishable food supplies to those in need.

• Through home visits, volunteers engaged with families to gain deeper insights into their challenges.

Refugee Intellectual Skills and Excellence (RISE) Your generous donations have provided ongoing support to RISE and Al Noor students and their families by providing school supplies for 160 students, cash vouchers for 100 families, and learning resources to enhance classroom engagement. Students also took part in a shopping activity with the support of the volunteers, which helped build confidence and foster meaningful connections.

Through this initiative, monthly school fee assistance was provided to help reduce the financial strain on families. It also contributed to infrastructure repairs at the Alternative Learning Centre in Kinarut, Sabah, improving overall learning conditions. These combined efforts help to sustain educational access, and lay the foundation for lasting, positive change in these communities.

Stories from the Ground Arsan | RISE Student Arsan, a student from the RISE program, has participated in the INSPIRE visits for several years. Arsan’s family received crucial support through cash vouchers, food box assistance and other essential items.

Arsan’s mother expressed her gratitude, specifcally putting emphasis on how the shopping activity had a positive impact on her child. “We are often unable to purchase specific items our child requests, as we must prioritize essential expenses. Telling him to ‘wait’ has become common in our household. However, through the shopping activity, he had the opportunity to select items he needed, allowing him to experience the joy of shopping like other fortunate children. We are truly thankful for this support, as it has brought happiness to our child and us as parents.”

This will be Arsan’s last INSPIRE visit in Malaysia, as his family has now relocated to the United States under the UNHCR resettlement program. We are confident that Arsan’s experiences and connections will lead him to success, empowering him to give back to those in need in the future.

Reflections Dania Sherif | Volunteer As this Inspire trip concludes, I find myself reflecting on how much I wish my friends and family could witness what I saw and experience what I felt. One unforgettable moment was visiting families, hearing their stories, and observing their unwavering trust in Allah despite their hardships. Seeing the children during the camp going from shy and reserved to happy and confident was truly heartwarming. This journey opened my eyes to new perspectives on life and the importance of taking action. We must ask ourselves: ‘What are we doing today to change the world?’ InshaAllah, change begins now.

Lombok, Indonesia Overview of the Trip In September and October 2024, we hosted two cohorts in Lombok, Indonesia, as part of the Inspire Program. Each cohort participated in community service and connected with local communities and understand their challenges.

• Volunteers provided psychosocial support to 120 orphans at UMMAT University and Mataram University through engaging activities and financial literacy education through a shopping trip.

• The team also distributed backpacks, essential bedding and mattresses to students at 2 boarding schools, and prepared and delivered food packs to families from low-income households.

• Volunteers explored a range of community-led projects supported by Islamic Relief, such as fabric weaving, mushroom cultivation, salt farming, lobster farming, hydroponic farming, and beekeeping.

Your generosity has transformed lives in Lombok, offering orphans and vulnerable communities’ access to education, improved living conditions, and essential nutrition. Children benefited from psychosocial care, STEM-based learning, and school supplies, while boarding schools received new playgrounds, bedding, and hygiene education. Vulnerable households, particularly on Gili Ree Island, received food packs to address immediate needs and support food security.

This initiative has created lasting positive change for children and families in the community.

Sofian | Rights- holder Sofian is a 17-year-old student at Darul Hikmah Islamic boarding school in Central Lombok. He has always displayed strong leadership at school, taking responsibility for waking up his peers and guiding them through daily routines like prayers and cleaning. However, life at the school has been challenging due to the severe pollution and a lack of clean water. Despite the school’s efforts to dig a well, the water remains dry, affecting daily activities like wudhu and making it difficult to maintain proper hygiene.

Islamic Relief has brought significant improvements to Sofian’s school life, providing essential supplies like school supplies and bedding. Waste management education was introduced, which has helped improve the school’s environment. Renovations have been made to the dormitory, including replacing the old carpets the students once slept on with mattresses and pillows.

Sofian extends his heartfelt thanks to Islamic Relief and donors from Canada for their generous support, which has positively impacted his school and community.

While the school’s water shortage remains a critical issue, Sofian remains hopeful for further assistance to address the water crisis.

Reflections

Shabana Patel | Volunteer The shopping trip with the kids is a story I often share. I took two little boys, around five years old, to pick out essentials like clothes and shoes. Though we didn’t speak the same language, we found ways to communicate. After picking out their items, they both had money left, so I asked if they wanted a toy or snacks. In the toy aisle, they carefully looked at a few toys but put them back. One boy tugged at his shirt, signaling he’d rather have another t-shirt, and his friend agreed. Their choice was humbling, highlighting their reality and priorities, making me reflect on our own privileges and what truly matters.

Jalal Amin | Volunteer My time in Indonesia was an eye-opening experience. It made me deeply grateful for the privileges in my own life—my home, education, health, and, above all, the unwavering support of my family. Working closely with the children was particularly humbling. Many of them lacked the opportunities and support that I had growing up, making me even more thankful for the guidance and encouragement my parents and siblings continue to offer. This experience has sparked in me a passion for helping children and being a source of guidance for them. It has reshaped my priorities, refocused my goals, and, InshaAllah, will lead me toward more meaningful work in the future.

Marrakech, Morocco Overview of the Trip In November 2024, the Inspire Program led its first cohort in Morocco, working with orphans from Moulay Ibrahim, many of whom are victims of the devastating earthquakes that struck the region in September 2023.

• Volunteers engaged in psychosocial support activities with the children, who had the unique opportunity to stay at the camp venue for a week. This experience provided a safe and nurturing environment for learning and healing.

• The volunteers also contributed to the restoration of a school in Moulay Ibrahim.

• They packaged and distributed 100 food packs and hygiene kits to families impacted by the earthquake, offering essential aid to those still recovering from its effects.

• The volunteers gained valuable insights into the community’s resilience and strength by connecting with the families in the community, and a village near the Asfi region.

Bringing Joy to Orphans

Your generous donations made a profound impact by supporting psychosocial programming for 60 orphans from Moulay Ibrahim, Marrakech, a region still recovering from the earthquake. These funds also contributed to rehabilitation efforts at a school serving socioeconomically disadvantaged children, providing essential furniture for their residency quarters and constructing improved, high-quality bathrooms.

Additionally, your support brought joy to the 60 orphans, who were given the opportunity to shop for clothing and enjoy a memorable field trip to an amusement park. Beyond these efforts, 100 nonperishable food packages and 100 hygiene kits were assembled and distributed to families in need. Your contributions have directly provided much-needed support to vulnerable communities.

After a fun-filled day at camp, I was walking hand-inhand with two campers, Omaima and Khadija, as we reminisced about the boat race and water balloon fight.

I gently mentioned how their mothers must be excited to see them tomorrow, cautiously saying ‘moms’ instead of ‘parents.’ As we reached the activity room, Omaima pulled me aside and shared that Khadija had lost both her parents—her mother during childbirth and her father when she was in grade one and Khadija was raised by her aunt and uncle.

She went on to share that during the earthquake, she was trapped under rubble for a long time before being rescued. Despite these profound hardships, Khadija is the happiest child, radiating joy and positivity. I never would have imagined these experiences to be part of her story. Seeing her resilience and strength, despite all she has endured, was both humbling and unforgettable. It reminded me of the courage these children embody and the importance of creating spaces where they can simply be kids, full of laughter and hope.

I learned the importance and beauty of the ‘Alhamdullilah’ mindset. No matter what difficulty you may be going through, there is khair in everything. To remember this in the name of Allah, we should constantly repeat ‘Alhamdulillah’, as Allah has blessed us in every aspect of our lives. Just as easily as He provides, He can take away.

Therefore, being constantly grateful is something we should all strive to adopt.

I was honoured to join the Inspire Program in Morocco.

Seeing is believing! This program provides invaluable leadership opportunities to volunteers to grow to be our next generation of change makers. It also fosters trust and connection with the communities we serve. What a beautiful opportunity to put the principals of our faith into concrete action.

Nairobi, Kenya Overview of the Trip In November 2024, we launched the first Inspire Medical Stream, focusing on integrating medical professionals into the Inspire Program. This inaugural program, called the Gift of Sight Cataract Campaign, was conducted in Kenya. It aimed to provide life-changing cataract surgeries to rights-holders unable to afford this essential procedure, preventing avoidable blindness.

The campaign was a 10-day journey involving four medical volunteers: one ophthalmologist, two optometrists, and one medical student. These volunteers traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, to work closely with our partner hospital, the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital, to conduct approximately 150 cataract surgeries. The program also emphasized knowledge exchange, community health screenings, and connecting with the local community, particularly orphans, to learn about their resilience and stories.

Key Activities During the Program

Screening and Community Connection • Conducted health screenings for about 2,000 rightsholders fostering direct engagement with local communities.

Cataract Surgeries and Impact • Provided cataract surgeries for over 150 patients during the field visit, including a child named Gift.

• We have completed an additional 250 cataract surgeries with our partner hospital funded by Islamic Relief for a total of 400 within the campaign.

Collaborative Efforts • Worked alongside two external doctors and 25 hospital staff, creating a robust and collaborative environment for delivering life-changing care.

Impact on Cataract Patients and Vulnerable Communities

Engagement with Orphans and Their Families • Shared a dinner with orphan families and sponsorship graduates, creating opportunities to hear their inspiring stories.

• Met an orphan named Aisha and her family in Kibera, gaining insights into the challenges and resilience of life in one of the largest informal settlements.

Capacity Building and Sustainability • Welcomed a practitioner from Kilifi County who joined the Canadian team in Nairobi for hands-on training and experience.

• We plan to enhance Kilifi County Hospital’s capacity by supplying and delivering a Phaco Machine, an essential tool for cataract surgeries.

Stories from the Ground Alice | Rights-Holder

The Gift of Sight Cataract Campaign significantly improved eye health and overall well-being in Kenya by reducing vision impairment, particularly cataracts, through free, high-quality surgeries and awareness initiatives. By targeting a leading cause of blindness, especially among those over 50, the campaign addressed a growing health concern in Nairobi and surrounding regions. Key partnerships with organizations like Charity Vision, Islamic Relief Kenya, and the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital ensured access to advanced facilities, expert care, and sustainable support. By restoring vision, the campaign transformed lives, enabling individuals to regain independence, pursue education, and re-engage in work, offering hope for a brighter future.

At 70 years old, Alice Kirema from Meru County had endured a painful battle with blindness that robbed her of independence. As a subsistence farmer, losing her eyesight took a major toll on her life.

“One eye failed after the other, leaving me in darkness.

Blindness stops your life because you rely on others for everything,” she shared. After a failed cataract surgery at another hospital, Alice found new hope at the cataract surgery camp supported by Islamic Relief. Last week, surgeons successfully restored vision in her left eye.

“For the first time in years, I can see clearly and as far as possible. Today, I am here to fix my right eye after an unsuccessful surgery by a different hospital. I believe it will be successful.”

Alice’s gratitude overflows. “This camp didn’t just restore my sight; it restored my ability to take care of myself. May God bless my children and the donors for helping me because I know how expensive this would have been. My life is mine again.”

Stories from the Ground Gary Muriuki | A Farmer’s Vision Restored For 52-year-old Gary Muriuki, a coffee farmer from Nyeri County, two years of vision loss felt like a lifetime. The trouble started after a pesticide accident that caused an eye infection. Over time, his eyes developed a cloudy, white ring, and eventually, Gary lost his sight.

For a man whose livelihood depended on his farm, losing his sight felt like losing everything. Gary couldn’t afford the surgery he desperately needed. But then, a friend told him about free cataract surgery camp, and everything changed for Gary.

“I couldn’t believe it when they said the surgery would be free!”

Gary shared. “All the assistance provided did not come at a cost. The screening, organized transport to Nairobi that is three hours away, and the surgery itself. This surgery means everything to me. I can now see clearly and continue working on my farm.

Thank you for blessing me with this life-changing gift.”

Reflections Dr. Nadia Malik | Volunteer It was truly a humbling experience. I learned a great deal about medical care in developing countries, and learned what it means to be a humanitarian, something that I will want to pass on to my kids inshaAllah. Both the Canadian and Kenyan Islamic Relief teams are incredibly wonderful, kind and compassionate people - and I feel grateful to have connected with them all. May Allah continue to shower his blessings on all those working tirelessly for Islamic Relief for all the wonderful and life changing work.
