Grade 5 students between 26-27 May presented their exhibition project, the main theme of which was the UN's Global Sustainability Goals and within that, they could choose any theme of their preference. This year, they picked the following topics: the importance of bees, paper recycling, saving trees, water purification, saving red pandas, pet welfare, plastic in the oceans, solar panels, and solar energy. The students worked on their projects for 8 weeks and their hard work paid off.
Starting with their musical journey the fifth graders gave an excellent performance even though everybody was a little intimidated by the audience, but with amazing bravery they let their stage presence fill the auditorium while performing the infamous Pink song, Cover me in sunshine. "It always seems impossible until It's done. " Nelson Mandela

On the first day of the PYP exhibition, the audience got to know more about the topic of pet welfare. Villő and Sofie gave them a very organized presentation about how we can take care of our lovely friends, and pets. Not only that but they talked about their burning passion for animals while sharing their shelter journey. The cruel hardships in an unwanted animal's life were the most vigorous drive in their unique research project.
The next station's presenters were Akhmad and Geri, who have done extremely profound scientific research covering the area of solar energy. It was a new experience for all the viewers when they talked so intelligently about solar energy. Akhmad explained why it is more remunerative than using fossil powers for a long period of time. Geri was very determined to open the knowledge of all in harnessing solar energy in the most efficient way.
Dorka showed an incredible presentation on bees. Noone would even think how important bees are to the whole world. Not only for honey but without them the world’s botany wouldn’t exist. She was very enthusiastic about the act of apiculture which was really fascinating to see. Not to mention her fabulous artwork which was done with only her graphite pencil! Next was Francis’ station who talked about the nation’s not-so-good paper recycling habit. He offered great ideas on how the school should handle paper recycling in the future.
