Dopo il diploma come addetto alla portineria ha lavorato prima al Jolly Hotel e poi presso l’albergo della Regina Isabella di Lacco Ameno vivendo il periodo altrettanto ricco degli anni ’70 sull’isola d’Ischia. Il suo percorso professionale è continuato in giro per l’Europa ed è durato 5 anni – tra Germania, Scozia, Inghilterra e Francia- a contatto con realtà che gli hanno permesso di affinare la professione per poi tornare sull’isola. Prima all’Hotel Majestic e oggi con il simbolo de Le Clefs d’Or – l’associazione dei portieri d’albergo, di cui è stato presidente regionale e vice presidente nazionale- è concierge presso l’albergo cinque stelle lusso dell’Hotel Continental del comune capoluogo].

[Mario D’Orta, a native of Casamicciola, attended the hotel management school. After graduation he worked as a porter before at the Jolly Hotel and then at the hotel of Regina Isabella of Lacco Ameno experiencing as rich period in the ‘70s on the island of Ischia. His career continued in around Europe and lasted five years - between Germany, Scotland, England and France- contact with reality that allowed him to hone his profession and then return to the island.
