Abstract - Various concrete pavement problems arise due to heavy rainfall and storm water which leads to decrease in strength, pavement degradation and many environmental problems so as to overcome these problems zero-fines concrete is the best alternative. Zero-fines concrete is so unique kind of concrete which allow water passing within the concrete matrix, having 18% to 35% void content. Zero-fines concrete has reduced the use of extra drainage system in roads and has become the environment friendly material from other concrete materials as it allows the rainwater to seep into the ground, recharging the ground water level (infiltration ranging from 16.7-150.3 pounds per minute per sq. feet which is 80-720 liters per minute per square meter), enhanced freeze and thaw property than normal concrete. The UHI value of zero-fines concrete is very low compare to normal concrete, temperature can be reduced up to 5F in urban areas.

demands. In this study the permeability properties and other properties has been studied by analyzing the aggregate gradation, different mixes, amount and the properties has been compared with each other, Rang of infiltration (3-8 gal/ft2/mint) and time should be in range of (45 to 122 seconds for standard permeability). 1.2 STORM WATER RUNOFF Storm water runoff is rainfall at high scale that flows over the surface like ground, roads, parking lots and any other surfaces. Mainly created when rain falls on gap graded surfaces such as roads and other pavement surfaces which do not allow the rain water to soak into the ground, the runoff generated from the storm produced by rain falling on the gap graded pavement surfaces are much higher compare to the storm which is generated when rain falling on forested areas.

2. SKID RESISTANCE

1. INTRODUCTION

Same as here zero-fines concrete can reduce the storm water more quickly than the directly related with skid resistance when no water is available on the pavement surface there is approximately zero chances of skidding so zero-fines concrete helps in increasing the skid resistance most prominently

Concrete is the second most used material after water on the face of earth because it is used worldwide. Concrete is one the most important construction engineering material that acquires the properties of the rock made with constituent particles having a very close bond together. in simple way it is a composite of aggregates, generally natural sand and broken or crushed stones or gravels all these constituents are bonded together with help of a hydraulic binder such as ordinary Portland cement or PPC stimulated by water in order to have a very rigged dense semi homogenous mass of different or new properties. Due to its overall features concrete is also called as artificial rock

3. PRESSURE OF POWER WASHING A regular pressure washing helps us to maintain the infiltration rate of zero-fines concrete under drainage limits and the aim at this stage of cleaning is to dislodge various particles present mostly at the top portion of the zero-fines concrete and finally either to through it or to flush them. Pressure washing should be done less frequently than that of common sweeping, in some cases if we did not have swept zero-fines concrete for a long time and concrete is soiled at that time pressure washing is necessary and a good washing should finally restore back an adequate infiltration rate.

1.1 ZERO – FINES CONCRETE Zero-fines concrete is so unique kind of concrete which allow water passing within concrete matrix, so also referred as porous concrete. Zero-fines concrete contains no or small percentage of Fine aggregates example sand so also known as no-fines, gap- graded, zero-slump concrete. Zero-fines concrete has reduced the use of extra drainage system in roads, footpaths and parking lots and has become the environment friendly material from other concrete materials as it allows the rainwater to seep into the ground and has become effective means to full fill growing environment
