All annual leave will need to be submitted through the system. Your profile may be set up as ‘Days’ or ‘Hours’, which is dependent on how you receive your annual leave (the example we have used below is for ‘Days’).
To request annual leave, you will need to select the ‘Request a Holiday in Days / Hours’ tile
The screen to your left will be loaded which provides an overview of the amount of annual leave days you have taken and what is remaining
To continue with placing a request for annual leave, you will need to select the next icon at the top right of the screen
The below steps are a continuation of requesting an annual leave from the previous page. (The example is for holiday requests in ‘Days’).
You will need to select the date range that you wish to book annual leave for. This is done by clicking the start date (first day of your annual leave) and then the end date (last day of your annual leave)
You can toggle forward and back by month using the grey arrow, which has been shown on the above example
The below steps are a continuation of requesting an annual leave from the previous page.
You will need to select if you wish to book a ‘Full Day’ or ‘Half day’ on the first and last day of your annual leave request
For Hours staff only: If you would like to book leave for specific hours, please select ‘Other Hours’ and choose the number of hours you wish to book
If you are satisfied with your selection, click ‘Next’ to submit your leave request. Please check the information to ensure that it is correct before saving
You will receive an alert (via email) when your manager has either approved or disapproved your leave. Examples of these alerts can be found on either side. Please remember that – holiday is not booked until approved by your manager
If you have submitted a request for annual leave that you no longer require, there is the facility to cancel annual leave, either at the request or approved stage. (The example is for holiday requests in ‘Days’).
To cancel an annual leave request that you have submitted, you will need to click on the ‘Cancel an Absence Request’
To cancel the request, you will need to select the absence you wish to cancel and select ‘Next’. If you are unable to view the absence, please request your Manager to ‘Disapprove’ your leave
The below steps are a continuation of cancelling an annual leave request from the previous page.
The system will provide an overview of your cancellation request, please check the information is correct. If you are satisfied with the cancellation, select ‘Next’
The system will then confirm that your cancellation request has been successful and if you select ‘Ok’, you will return to the homepage. (The request will need to be approved by your Manager)
Once your cancellation request has been approved by your manager, you will then receive an alert to confirm your annual leave has been disapproved
