Spring into Action: Kanturk’s Community Market Blooms with Easter Fun
Kanturk and District Community Council brought a burst of springtime cheer by holding a Spring Market in the Edel Quinn Hall on Sunday March 24th. The hall was filled with the vibrant colours and scents of spring, local crafters and producers came together to showcase their crafts and wares, offering a unique shopping experience to all who attended. The Easter Bunny also paid a visit, handing out eggs to the children, bringing the Easter Season into full spring. A raffle and a few guessing games were held and sponsored by Yumm Café. Guess how many sweets in the Jar had everyone counting and recounting. Guess the Bunny’s name was a hit among the children and adults alike, with the winner receiving an Easter hamper. Guess the weight of the Cake was a delicious challenge that had participants weighing their options.
The market was an amazing opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate local talent, and enjoy the season. A testament to the council’s commitment to fostering a strong community spirit and supporting local enterprise. Thank you to Yumm Café for sponsoring the event, The Easter Bunny for paying a visit, all of the stall holders and a big thanks to all the people who attended and supported the event.
