Duhallow Makes An Impact All Over

Duhallow received an image via email by a Mr. Bob Barry. It is a picture of a notice featured in a Belfast Newsletter from 6th January 1898, pertaining to two recently deceased centenarians in the United Kingdom. Both the individuals, John Linehan and Julia Clancy originally hailed from Duhallow.

With a legacy such as John’s with 60 great grand children, we can’t help but wonder if relatives remain in the region even now.

It’s a fascinating glimpse into the lives of two Duhallow natives so far from our time and place.
