Next projects

In the next months, MMP Torneria plans to complete the revamping of its cleaning department, whose floor is still incomplete due to the construction phase being halted because of COVID-19, doubling its weighing line, and expanding its range of CNC lathes. “MMP Torneria’s machining department,” says Rotatori, “currently houses

I prossimi progetti

Nei prossimi mesi MMP Torneria prevede di ultimare il revamping del reparto di lavaggio, la cui pavimentazione è ancora incompleta, a causa dell’arresto della fase costruttiva dovuta al COVID-19, raddoppiare la linea di pesatura e ampliare la gamma dei torni CNC. “Oggi il reparto di lavorazioni meccaniche di MMP Torneria – conclude

The latter will be further increased to meet the new demands of a few European customers, which have banned lead from the materials with which we can work. However, a percentage of lead added to steel alloys make them malleable and therefore easier to turn: its elimination calls for the use of a harder type of steel and, consequently, more power and pressure is required from the machine in order to remove the larger amount of swarf formed during turning. The presence of a cleaning system like the one supplied by STS Italy ensures that, even after the installation of these new machines, our turned components’ surfaces will meet the cleanliness requirements of our increasingly demanding customers, while guaranteeing high productivity and full compliance with environmental regulations.”

Rotatori – ospita 45 torni automatici, mono e plurimandrino, di cui 15 a controllo numerico (CNC). Questi ultimi saranno ulteriormente implementati per rispondere alle nuove richieste di alcuni clienti europei che hanno imposto l’esclusione del piombo dai materiali che eravamo soliti lavorare: la percentuale di piombo aggiunta alla lega di acciaio lo rendeva malleabile e, quindi, più facile da tornire. La sua eliminazione comporta l’impiego di un tipo di acciaio più duro, per cui alla macchina vengono richieste più potenza e pressione per asportare la maggiore quantità di truciolo che si viene a formare durante la tornitura. L’introduzione di un impianto di lavaggio come quello di STS Italy ci assicura che, anche dopo l’installazione di queste nuove macchine, la superficie dei nostri componenti torniti rispecchierà i requisiti di pulizia richiesti dai nostri committenti sempre più esigenti, garantendoci una produttività elevata e il pieno rispetto delle normative ambientali”.
