NEW BASF MARKET PRESENTATION FOR RELIUS INDUSTRIAL COATINGS STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION La nuova veste BASF per i prodotti RELIUS Industrial Coatings rafforza l’orientamento internazionale

In the future, BASF’s Coatings Division will place all RELIUS industrial coatings products in the wind energy, aircraft, marine/yacht and general industrial coatings segments under the BASF umbrella much more visibly than in the past. The result: a modern and uniform presentation. Parallel to the new presentation, the company is launching the new RELEST® product name for these industrial coatings segments. Starting with the wind energy segment, the entire portfolio will now be changed over to the new name. The marine/yacht, aircraft and general industrial coatings segments will follow. “We are increasingly gearing our business with coatings systems for industrial applications to the international markets. Our new market presentation emphasizes that we belong to BASF, the world’s leading chemical company. We make use of BASF’s global presence, innovativeness and structures, and in this way, we strengthen our international orientation,” explained Dr. Achim Gast, head of Post-Coatings at BASF Coatings. The excellent quality of the products and services will remain unchanged, promised Anne Heimes-Scheller, responsible for Industrial Coatings Marketing: “We are changing our market presentation, but we will of course maintain our strong customer focus. In the wind energy sector, RELIUS has been successfully represented on the market for over ten years. The name stands for experience and close partnership with our customers, as well as quality.” At the last JEC Composites Show (March 29 to 31 in Paris, France), BASF presented the new RELEST® Wind ProcessCoat for effective protection against erosion and UV radiation, along with the new RELEST® Wind RepKit for the repair of rotor blades. RELIUS COATINGS has belonged to the BASF Group since 2007. Its portfolio includes coatings for industrial applications and architectural coatings. RELIUS’ architectural coatings segment will not be affected by these changes in the industrial coatings, but will continue to be distributed under the RELIUS brand.
