This robot is an antropomorphous six-axis machine designed for the automatic painting of metal, plastic or wooden parts. The painting operation of this robot can be programmed by direct self-teaching or point-to-point programming. In the first case, the operator manually paints the part: The computer of the machine memorizes the whole operation, which can be repeated at any time at the working speed required by the line. In the second case, the main points of the painting path of the piece are memorized and the robot develops the required paths. In both cases, the programs can be amended in order to eliminate the imperfections possibly detected during the painting operations. 1

he ELETTROSPRAY® Robot (Fig. 1) is a new automatic painting machine born from the long experience of Ravarini Castoldi & C. Srl in the manufacturing of industrial painting equipment, started in 1962 when they put on the market the first electrostatic gun made in Italy.
Si tratta di un robot antropomorfo a sei assi destinato alla verniciatura automatica di oggetti sia in metallo che in plastica o legno. La programmazione può essere ad autoapprendimento diretto oppure punto a punto. Nel primo caso, l’operatore esegue manualmente la verniciatura del pezzo: il computer della macchina memorizza traiettorie e comandi per poi ripeterli alla velocità di lavoro richiesta dalla linea. Nel secondo caso, vengono fissati i punti principali della traiettoria di verniciatura del pezzo e il robot sviluppa le traiettorie richieste. In entrambi i casi i programmi possono essere corretti per eliminare le imperfezioni eventualmente riscontrate nella verniciatura dei pezzi.
