ZOOM on events REVOLUTIONARY NEW APPLICATIONS FROM WHITFORD AT THE AMBIENTE 2011 Whitford ha presentato nuove applicazioni rivoluzionarie ad Ambiente 2011

ast February took place the exhibition Ambiente in Frankfurt, a trade show dedicated to house furniture and furnishings, housewares, storage, and gifts. Whitford was among the exhibitors (fig. 1) to present innovative product solutions and new developments: the ceramic coating Fusion®, developed by Whitford Italy lab; the new coating system Quantum®350, a 1-coat system that has been developed for small electronic appliances such as contact grills; Eterna® coating-technology that achieves excellent test results when applied on coil-coated, baking forms and roasting tins. Beside, Whitford presented Eterna® coating in a new light hue to respond to a specific need of the market. Not only did Ambiente act as the launch platform for the latest developments in Whitford’s product offerings, it was also the setting for the award of the first licence in Europe to manufacture coil coated bakeware under the Whitford Quality Cooperative Program (QCP), presented to Utensa Ltd (the British manufacturers of bakeware). As quality is getting more important and more difficult to control as manufacturing and marketing responsibilities are often separated, the QCP helps maintain the highest quality in the application of coatings. This helps the cookware, bakeware and appliance manufacturers, coaters, importers, retailers — and the ultimate consumer. The QCP helps everyone who participates. This means that all products manufactured using Whitford Coatings either meet or surpass stringent quality checks where the quality of its production is verified by sending samples to Whitford on a prescribed basis to undergo specific tests. ecentemente si è svolta a Francoforte la fiera Ambiente 2011 dedicata alla casa, ai suoi ambienti all’oggettistica decorativa e funzionale. Allo stand Whitford (fig. 1) si è notato un notevole interesse nei confronti dei nuovi prodotti presentati: il rivestimento ceramico antiaderente Fusion® sviluppato nei laboratori Whitford Italia, il nuovo sistema Quantum® 350 applicabile con mano unica sviluppato per piccoli elettrodomestici, il rivestimento Eterna© applicabile su coil, stampi e teglie da forno che grazie a queste caratteristiche ha suscitato interesse da parte dei visitatori presenti ad Ambiente. Inoltre Whitford ha proposto Eterna® in una variante di colore chiaro, in risposta ad una crescente richiesta del mercato in tale direzione. Ambiente non è stata solamente la piattaforma di lancio delle ultime novità sviluppate nei laboratori Whitford, ma anche lo scenario per l’assegnazione in Europa del primo attestato ad un produttore di bakeware nel settore coil che ha aderito al nostro programma di Qualità Certificata del Prodotto (QCP), consegnato ad Utensa Ltd (produttore britannico di bakeware). La qualità è sempre più importante ma anche più difficile da controllare, essendo produzione e commercializzazione spesso delocalizzate; il QCP aiuta a mantenere il massimo standard di qualità nell’applicazione dei rivestimenti. Questo aiuta produttori di cookware, bakeware ed elettrodomestici, applicatori, importatori, distributori ed il consumatore finale. Il QCP aiuta tutti quelli che vi aderiscono. Questo significa che tutti i prodotti su cui vengono applicati i rivestimenti Whitford eguagliano o superano rigorosi controlli di qualità, in cui la qualità dei prodotti stessi è verificata inviando campioni a Whitford per sottoporli a test specifici, secondo criteri prestabiliti.
