n November 24 th the Bergamo Exhibition Centre hosted the convention “Prodotti ad alto solido” (i.e., “High solid products”), organised by Aniarp (the national protective coatings companies association) and the Ispac Group. The convention aimed at being a formative and informative experience. The main goal was to encourage the companies working in the sector, the manufacturers of paints and applicators, to reduce the use of solvents in the anti-corrosive finishing operations. Following the decision of the annual assembly, Aniarp decided to assign all the resources coming from the conventions to the research about the industrial waste disposal and/or recycling; in this case, the research is focussed on the method for agglomerating dusts from the sandblasting systems in order to obtain a recyclable refuse. The reports dealt with different topics, from the laws in force and their application in the companies operating in the field to the high performance products and coatings, not to mention the choice criteria in the realisation of plants for the abatement of organic solvents and dust. And above all, the following questions has been answered: - why use high solid products? - how are these products used? - which products use very little or no solvent? - plants for the abatement of solvents or abatement of solvents before their application? Besides the convention, there was an outer exhibition area, adjoining the Conference Hall, where the following sponsor companies presented their products and/or equipment and/or installations to the visitors: - Hempel - Innovations - International Paint - Savim - Sigma Coatings - Sirca - Zetagi - Ultracoating

l 24 novembre la Fiera di Bergamo ha ospitato il convegno “Prodotti ad alto solido” organizzato dall’Aniarp – Associazione Nazionale Imprese Applicazioni Rivestimenti Protettivi e dal Gruppo Ispac. Il convegno ha voluto essere occasione formativa e informativa. La finalità principale è stata quella di indirizzare le aziende del settore, produttori di vernici e applicatori, verso la riduzione dell’utilizzo di solventi nelle operazioni di finitura anticorrosiva. L’Aniarp con delibera della assemblea annuale ha deciso di utilizzare tutte le risorse provenienti dai convegni in ricerche per lo smaltimento e/o riciclaggio dei rifiuti industriali; in questo caso la ricerca é finalizzata al metodo per agglomerare le polveri degli impianti di sabbiatura ed ottenere un rifiuto riciclabile. Le relazioni hanno trattato temi che spaziano dalla legislazione vigente e la sua applicazione nelle aziende del settore, dai prodotti e rivestimenti ad alte prestazioni, ai criteri di scelta per la realizzazione di impianti di abbattimento dei SOV e delle polveri. E soprattutto sono state date risposte alle seguenti domande: - perché usare prodotti alto solido? - come si usano questi prodotti? - quali sono i prodotti che non utilizzano solvente o ne usano pochissimo? - impianti per abbattere i solventi oppure abbattere i solventi prima di applicarli? Il convegno è stato affiancato da un’area espositiva esterna adiacente alla Sala Conferenze dove le aziende sponsor, di seguito elencate, hanno presentato i loro prodotti e/o attrezzature e/o impianti ai presenti della giornata: - Hempel - Innovantions - International Paint - Savim - Sigma Coatings - Sirca - Zetagi - Ultracoating
