F
or Europeans, September 1st is a symbolic day: it represents the real start of a new year. September is the month of new projects, a prelude to an intense autumn, focused on the foundation for the productive activities for the coming year. September is the month when a company makes the first calculations of a year coming to an end. It is a month for analysis and projects, for long term strategic planning, budgets for promotional and technological investments, the month when you can, and must, look forward to the coming year with optimism and focus on renewal. Is in not by chance that in Europe September inaugurates an intense period also from a trade fair standpoint, which from the middle of the month continues until November, with numerous important events for the mechanical and chemical sectors, the two industrial macro sectors which encompass surface treatments with application systems on the one hand and chemical specialization on the other. This issue of IPCM presents previews and news about the new products of two important international events being held in Italy. The first is the thematic exhibition THE WORLD OF SURFACE FINISHING - F&O FINISHING & BEYOND dedicated to machines for surface finishing and treatment, organized within the 27th edition of BI-MU, the biennial of tooling machines, robotics and automation, taking place at the FieraMilano from October 5 – 9, 2010. The second event is EUROCOAT 2010, an international exhibition/conference dedicated to the paint, printing ink, adhesives and glue industries of Mediterranean countries, taking place this year in Genoa, Italy from November 9 – 11. Research and innovation are the most vital lifeblood for the industry, especially after a period of crisis like the last two years. The economic forecast indicates ever stronger signs of recovery and industries are moving forward to go beyond the productive impasse, and these events are opportunities for sector operators to find out the latest about technological innovations and to see interesting ideas for planning system investments, testing the introduction of new products and technologies.

l primo settembre è per noi europei una data simbolica: rappresenta il vero inizio di un nuovo anno. Settembre è il mese dei progetti, preludio di un autunno intenso, volto a gettare le basi dell’attività produttiva dell’anno seguente. Settembre è il mese in cui in azienda si tirano le prime somme di un anno che si avvia verso la fine; è il mese delle analisi e dei progetti, delle pianificazioni strategiche a lungo termine, dei budget per gli investimenti promozionali e in tecnologia, è il mese in cui si può – e si deve – guardare con ottimismo e slancio rinnovato all’anno che verrà. Non è un caso quindi che, in Europa, settembre inaugura una stagione intensa anche dal punto di vista fieristico che, a partire dalla metà del mese, si protrae fino a novembre inoltrato con numerose manifestazioni importanti per il settore della meccanica e della chimica, i due macro settori industriali all’interno dei quali ricade il trattamento delle superfici con gli impianti applicativi, da un lato, e le specialità chimiche, dall’altro. Questo numero di IPCM ospita le anteprime e le novità di prodotto di due importanti manifestazioni internazionali che si svolgono in Italia. La prima è il salone tematico IL MONDO DELLA FINITURA DELLE SUPERFICI - F&O FINITURA & OLTRE dedicato alle macchine per finitura e per il trattamento delle superfici, organizzato all’interno della 27° BI-MU, biennale della macchina utensile, robotica e automazione, in scena a FieraMilano dal 5 al 9 ottobre 2010. BI-MU nel tempo è diventata una delle fiere di riferimento per il comparto mondiale della meccanica e quest’anno sceglie di offrire un palcoscenico privilegiato all’industria del trattamento delle superfici, che potrà sfruttarne l’ampio bacino di visitatori. La seconda è EUROCOAT 2010, mostra-convegno internazionale per l’industria delle vernici, degli inchiostri da stampa, degli adesivi e delle colle dei paesi del Mediterraneo, che quest’anno si svolge in Italia, a Genova, dal 9 all’11 novembre. Ricerca e innovazione sono linfa vitale per l’industria, a maggior ragione dopo un periodo di crisi quale è stato l’ultimo biennio. Oggi che le previsioni economiche indicano segni di ripresa sempre più forti e si procede verso un superamento dell’impasse produttiva, gli operatori potranno trovare in queste manifestazioni un momento importante per aggiornarsi sulle innovazioni tecnologiche e trovare degli spunti interessanti per pianificare investimenti impiantistici, testare l’introduzione di nuovi prodotti e tecnologie.
