new clear powder coating system providing exceptional improvements in resistance to filliform corrosion is now available to the market. In addition, this acrylic based powder coating meets the requirements of the OEM specification community, with a one coat system. Thus combining technical excellence with cost in use savings for the whole industry. Over this time as industry demands have increased and Dow Powder Coatings has introduced, a range of specialised coatings have been introduced to the market such as primers of various colours, special basecoats and improved performance clears. With Pan-European infrastructure in laboratories, service teams and sales organisations, our ability to truly understand and work closely with our customers is a given. Through the “automotive” support team we are continually improving our products’ performance, a number of new developments in addition to the new acrylic clear will be launched from our innovative technology pipeline. In recent years, Dow Powder Coatings has been working with major manufacturers on improving the corrosion resistance of aluminium wheels, with filliform corrosion at the centre of the efforts. A considerable number of laboratory tests have taken place within the scope of raw material development, added to this the fine-tuning and through understanding of the full process cycle, we ensured success in the completion of the new acrylic clear technology platform.
