emonstrating its international reach, last summer Dörken MKS-Systeme attended two important trade fairs in two different countries. Dörken, based in Herdecke (Germany), has been developing micro-layer corrosion protection systems for 30 years and is now the European market leader in chromium(VI)free zinc flake systems. Under the brand name DELTA-MKS®, the company produces and configures extremely effective surface protection, especially for use in the automotive and wind power industry. The globally specified products are free of heavy metals. From 16 to 19 September 2014, Dörken MKS-Systeme was present at the Korea Metal Week at the KINTEX - Korea International Exhibition Center in Goyang, the leading trade fair for manufacturers, suppliers and traders in the field of metal construction in Korea. The new black surface coating was at the centre of the presentation on the Dörken MKS stand. The Korea Metal Week brought together several trade fairs under one roof, including the Fastener & Wire Korea, the Automobile & Machine Parts Korea and the Metal Surface Treatment & Painting Korea. From 27 to 31 August 2014, German automotive suppliers were in Moscow, participating in the Interauto automotive fair for the seventh time. The VDA (the German Association of the Automotive Industry) organised a communal stand, which was sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) in co-operation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). In addition to Dörken MKS-Systeme, eight other small and medium-sized suppliers and the “Supplier Cluster Russia” presented a broad range of automobile technology. For example, Dörken MKS-Systeme introduced its zinc flake solutions especially for the Russian market. In addition, there was also detailed VDA information on the German automobile industry. Despite its ups and downs for both foreign policy and economic reasons, the Russian market offers long-term potential. The product and process quality of the suppliers and their systems is of decisive importance in this, according to the VDA. Dal 27 al 31 agosto 2014, i fornitori tedeschi del settore automotive si sono riuniti a Mosca per la fiera dedicata a questo campo, Interauto, giunta alla settima edizione. La VDA (l’associazione tedesca dell’industria automotive) ha organizzato uno stand comune sponsorizzato dal Ministero Federale dell’Economia e della Tecnologia tedesco (BMWi) in cooperazione con l’Associazione dell’Industria Fieristica tedesca (AUMA). Oltre a Dörken MKS-Systeme, altri otto piccoli e medi fornitori e il “Supplier Cluster Russia” hanno presentato un’ampia gamma tecnologica per il settore automotive. Per esempio, Dörken MKS-Systeme ha presentato le sue soluzioni zinco lamellari specifiche per il mercato russo. Inoltre, l’associazione VDA ha fornito informazioni sullo stato dell’industria automobilistica tedesca. Nonostante le sue fluttuazioni, dovute sia a ragioni di politica estera sia a motivi economici, il mercato russo ha un grande potenziale nel medio-lungo periodo. La qualità del prodotto, del processo e dei sistemi dei fornitori è di importanza fondamentale sotto questo aspetto secondo la VDA.
