A TOUCH OF TEKNOS IN THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS Il tocco di Teknos nella città che non dorme mai

pochi passi da Times Square, Broadway e dal Garment District, c’è il nuovissimo AC Hotel by Marriott con il tocco di Teknos. Le luminose strutture in acciaio bianco della facciata dell’hotel sono state rivestite dalla società Vrhovine d.o.o. con il sistema verniciante epossipoliuretanico di Teknos (figg. 1 e 2). L’AC Hotel New York Times Square, situato all’incrocio tra la 260 W e la 40esima strada, è stato inaugurato a marzo 2018 (fig. 3). Nonostante gli hotel AC siano diffusi in tutto il mondo, le loro radici si trovano in Europa, dove sono state prodotte e rivestite anche le strutture in acciaio dell’ultima arrivata della catena alberghiera a New York. Vrhovine d.o.o. è un’azienda croata specializzata in cantieristica navale e nella realizzazione di costruzioni metalliche. La società ha avviato una stretta collaborazione con Teknos Hrvatska nel luglio 2017. La partnership tra le due società si basa su un eccellente rapporto reciproco, sul rispetto e sulla professionalità. Il progetto ha rappresentato un importante passo avanti sia per Teknos che per il suo cliente Vrhovine d.o.o. Si è trattato di un progetto impegnativo di alta qualità, che ha richiesto una grande creatività anche da parte di Teknos. few steps away from Times Square, Broadway and the Garment District, there is a brand-new AC Hotel by Marriot with a touch of Teknos in it. The radiant white steel structures of the Hotel’s façade were painted by the Vrhovine d.o.o. company using Teknos’ epoxy-polyurethane paint system (Figs. 1 and 2). The AC Hotel New York Times Square, located on the 260 West 40th Street, was opened in March 2018 (Fig. 3). Although AC Hotels have spread around the world, their roots lie in Europe. Also, the steel structures of the hotel chain’s latest addition in New York were manufactured and painted in Europe. Vrhovine d.o.o. is a Croatian company specialised in shipbuilding and manufacturing of metal constructions. The company started close cooperation with Teknos Hrvatska in July 2017. The cooperation between the two companies is based on an excellent mutual relationship, respect and professionalism. The project was a breakthrough for both Teknos and its customer Vrhovine d.o.o. It was a demanding and high-quality project, which required a great deal of creativity also on Teknos’ behalf.
