fter more than 40 years since this cultural initiative took place for the first time, The Italian Association of Metallurgy (AIM) in cooperation with the Stainless Steel Centre organizes the 8th edition of the advanced training course addressed to Italian technicians, researchers and professionals working in the field of stainless steel. The initiative offers to the participants the opportunity to update and deepen their present knowledge and to schedule a proper training for their new employees. The 2012 edition of the course will develop along a single programme divided into 8 days, and will prefer a leaner format in comparison with past editions. The first days of the Course are dedicated to the basis of metallurgy, characteristics, and corrosion resistance, while the second group of days focuses on construction, working technologies, and the market of stainless steels. The treated topics are intended to be preparatory for the second block of days, particularly dedicated to working and applications in the different fields. Lessons will be monographic and will be linked and consistent one another so as to make easier for the participants the learning and deepening of each topic. Teachers, coming from different university departments and industry fields, will be able to offer to participants, both during the lessons and the debates that will follow, a direct witness of their own professional experiences. Furthermore, to favour the contact between participants and the real market of stainless steels, several information desk of different sponsor will be available during the first two days of the Course (2nd - 3rd October),. più di quarant’anni dalla nascita di quest’azione culturale unica nel suo genere, l’Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia organizza, in collaborazione con il Centro Inox, la 8^ edizione del Corso avanzato, dedicato a tecnici, ricercatori, professionisti e in generale agli operatori italiani del settore degli inossidabili. Questa iniziativa offre ai partecipanti l’opportunità di approfondire e aggiornare le proprie conoscenze ed in particolare consente alle aziende del settore di programmare un’adeguata azione di formazione delle nuove leve del proprio personale. L’edizione 2012 del Corso si svilupperà su un unico modulo distribuito in 8 giornate, cercando di privilegiare un formato relativamente più snello rispetto alle passate edizioni. Le prime giornate del Corso sono dedicate alla metallurgia di base, alle caratteristiche, alla resistenza a corrosione, mentre un secondo gruppo di giornate si focalizza su fabbricazione, tecnologie di lavorazione e mercato degli acciai inossidabili. Gli argomenti trattati sono concepiti in modo da essere propedeutici per il secondo blocco di giornate, più specificamente dedicate alle lavorazioni ed alle applicazioni nei diversi settori. Le lezioni, di carattere monografico, sono connesse tra loro in modo logicamente consequenziale, così da facilitare ai partecipanti l’apprendimento e l’approfondimento panoramico degli argomenti trattati. I docenti, appartenenti a diversi settori universitari ed industriali, sono in grado di fornire ai partecipanti, nelle lezioni e nei dibattiti che le seguono, la diretta testimonianza delle proprie esperienze professionali. Inoltre, per favorire il contatto tra i partecipanti e le realtà del mercato degli inossidabili, è organizzata, durante le prime due giornate del Corso (2 - 3 ottobre), la presentazione di “tavoli informatori” approntati a cura di diverse aziende sponsor.
