To ensure our children have the opportunities to play that are essential for them to thrive, the International Play Association (IPA) has developed IPA Play in Crisis: Support for Parents and Carers. This resource, available for free to anyone, supports our understanding that play is a basic and vital part of childhood. We also see it as an essential part of all aspects of children's development. During crisis, play has a significant therapeutic role, helping children recover a sense of normality and joy.
