WelcomefromthePrincipal
It would be remiss of me to not reflect on last weekend’s International Day led and supported by our friends of Invictus BukitTimah parent group. It was a day of cultural celebration and I was proud to have witnessed our community in its strength and vibrancy. This reinforces my discussions with Mr Craig Cooper on the fellowship expressed within school in addition to its resilience and commitment to providing both foundationally sound and developing academic and pastoral rigour for its students. Mr Cooper will of course be in school on Monday evening meeting teachers and parents and we look forward to welcoming you. If you have not registered yet, please do so here. As we approach the end of term, we look forward to celebrating achievements and successes .As is common in an international school context, we look forward to greeting new families and staff as we wish some of current community a fond farewell. In the meantime there are still seven and a half school days to relish, we look forward to sharing them with all our students.
Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Reminder: Last day of school is 3rd July with a departure of 1200.

I write this fresh from a night of hourly cock-a-doodle-doo-ing roosters and impromptu toilet trips, but there’s a satisfaction that comes from knowing our staff and school take the opportunities to collapse the curriculum to develop the values and character of our pupils. The resilience, self-reflection and team-work developed are also academic values too, and will serve our pupils well in their studies.

This week is the last week of ECA’s. Walking round the school it has been lovely to see all the hard work and fun which has been had in the ECA’s this term. From Bollywood dancing to CRESTaward, football to human body. There has been something for everyone.
We have also started this years morning ECA’s which have been a huge success. In particular, pupils have enjoyed morning table tennis and science club. This has been a good wake up for our pupils and allowed for a clear morning mindset to be established. We want to say a big thank you to all our pupils who have taken part in ECAs but also the teachers and external vendors for making it possible. Who knows what exciting ECAs there will be next term!

Aforce to be reckoned with!
Year 2 have been learning about magnetic forces, comparing objects in the school that are magnetic and non-magnetic.They have discovered that magnetic objects have an unequal number of positive and negative charges.
Tasks included finding items in our everyday lives that require magnetic forces and presented their findings using Pic Collage. Our budding scientists did a wonderful job sharing their knowledge during class presentations.
