Trecento, almeno, raduni ogni anno. Un mercato imponente di pezzi di ricambio e modelli perfettamente funzionanti il cui valore è duraturo nel tempo. E sempre in crescita. Eccolo qui, in estrema sintesi, il nocciolo del fenomeno. Sì, ma il valore? Prendiamo una bella «Vespa 98» del 1946, prima serie. Impossibile dimenticarle: avevano il faro quasi un tutt’uno con il copriruota anteriore e il manubrio largo, a bacchetta. Un sellone soltanto e la coda allungata. Se perfetta, può costare anche 10mila euro, purché troviate qualcuno disposto a vedervela. Se, invece, riuscite a scovarne una ancora da recuperare in qualche vecchia cascina o da un demolitore, sperate che il proprietario non se ne intenda. Anche in condizioni improbabili, può valerne almeno 7mila. Certo, si dirà, era il primo modello prodotto dalla Piaggio. E le curve disegnate da Corradino D’ascanio, l’ingegnere aeronautico inventore dell’elicottero, e vero padre dello scooter della casa di Pontedera, sono ancora ben visibili. Ma i modelli

Impossible to forget it: the lighthouse was almost one with the front wheel covers and the handlebars were large, a wand. Just one big saddle and long tail. If perfect, it could cost up to 10000 euros, if you find someone willing to sell it. In case you manage to find one yet to be recovered in some old farm or from a wrecker, just hope the owner is not an expert at it. Even in improbable conditions, it may be worth at least 7000 euros. Sure, you say, it was the first model produced by Piaggio. The curves designed by Corradino D’Ascanio, the aeronautical engineer who invented the helicopter, and the true father of the scooter in the house of Pontedera, are still visible. What for the later models? Well, the old story does not change.
