Interna Collection was born, offering three furniture lines – Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary – and which are regularly a d d e d t o w i t h m o n o g r a p h i c c o l l e c t i o n s f r o m l e a d i n g international designers from the hospitality sector. After the enormous s u c c e s s of Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia in 2006, the 2008 monograph h a s b e e n e n t r u s t e d t o t h e A n g l o - D u t c h d e s i g n s t u d i o F G s t i j l . Wi t h c o n s u m m a t e s t y l e a n d i n a s u r p r i s i n g l y s h o r t t i m e , t h e y h a v e m a d e a b i g n a m e fo r t h e m s e l v e s i n t h e c o n t r a c t s e c t o r . A n g l o D u t c h is the name of the collection and it is a tribute to the designers, Interna’s p a r t n e r s i n t h e c r e a t i o n of s o m a n y s u c c e s s f u l p r o j e c t s . Dalle boutique di grandi marchi del lusso a illustri alberghi nel mondo, dai superyacht ai centri benessere e di intrat tenimento, sono molti, altamente differenziati e tut ti di estremo prestigio, i proget ti che Interna ha firmato dall’avvio della propria at tività nel 1989, conquistando nel corso degli anni una posizione di eccellenza a livello internazionale nel mondo dell’ospitalità e del contract di alta gamma. Nel 2005 Interna ha deciso di dar vita a una tangibile sintesi di questi anni di esperienza e di ricerca tecnologica, convogliando il know-how acquisito e la passione che da sempre aveva contraddistinto la propria at tività in una collezione di arredi per il set tore contract, unica per qualità del design, completezza dell’offerta e flessibilità È nata così Interna Collection scandita nelle tre linee Traditional, Transitional e Contemporary,

le quali si arricchiscono, con cadenza regolare, di collezioni monografiche firmate da designer protagonisti nel mondo dell’ospitalità mondiale Dopo il successo de Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia del 2006, la monografia 2008 è consacrata allo studio anglo-olandese FG stijl il quale, in brevissimo tempo, ha affermato il proprio nome nel set tore contract con garbo e classe. Today FG stijl comprises several different disciplines: i n t e r i o r a r c h i t e c t u r e , a r c h i t e c t u r e , c o n c e p t a n d p r o d u c t d e s i g n ,

“Proget tato da designer, costruito per persone ” . Potrebbe sembrare uno slogan banale, ma è un concet to su cui ho discusso spesso con i fondatori di FG stijl, Colin Finnegan e Gerard Glintmeijer (la ‘F’ e la ‘G’ di FG stijl) fin dai tempi del nostro primo incontro In un ’ epoca in cui il design è fortemente connaturato in ogni aspetto della vita quotidiana, notiamo che spesso esso dimentica il suo scopo per rincorrere idee astratte Non è questo il caso di FG stijl: ogni progetto di questo studio ha preso sempre avvio proprio dal progettare concreto, tenendo conto delle persone a cui era rivolto. Ora, a dieci anni di distanza dal primo pronunciamento del succitato slogan, si può affermare che esso è proprio entrato a far parte del DNA dello studio. Nel marzo 2005 FG stijl ha festeggiato il suo decimo anniversario Il primo decennio ha prodotto un nutrito corpus di lavori, culminato nel premiato The College Hotel

nella natia Amsterdam, la cui inaugurazione è felicemente coincisa con la celebrazione del loro decimo anniversario. Gli sforzi profusi hanno fatto vincere allo studio il Prix Villeggiature per il migliore Hotel Interior Design in Europa, il Theme nl 2005 per il migliore New Hotel Design nei Paesi Bassi, e un posto nella Hot List 2006 della rivista Condé Nast Traveller Tuttavia alcuni incarichi che hanno permesso di dar forma alla loro visione artistica e i conseguenti riconoscimenti sono arrivati ben prima, per quattro hotel olandesi segnalati da Michelin La celebre guida valuta l’atmosfera degli ambienti tanto quanto la gastronomia, e il concepire progetti che soddisfano uno standard internazionale così alto, conferma come il connubio tra qualità e soddisfazione del cliente sia sempre stato intrinseco al modo di intendere il design di FG stijl Oggi FG stijl si occupa di ambiti diversi: architettura

styling and graphic design. T h i s c o m b i n a t i o n of t a l e n t s h a s b e e n u t i l i s e d a c r o s s a r a n g e of p r o j e c t s i n c l u d i n g r e s t a u r a n t s , h o t e l s , of f i c e s a n d r e t a i l s p a c e s . In fact, the collaboration catalogued here as the Monograph Collection AngloDutch is the reflection of several years of w o r k i n g t o g e t h e r a n d t h e s y m b i o t i c r e s u l t of a d e s i r e t o d e s i g n a n d c r e a t e u n i q u e f u r n i t u r e . Questa combinazione di competenze è stata sfruttata per una gamma di progetti che comprende la progettazione di ristoranti, hotel, uffici, negozi e design di mobili su misura per progetti specifici Nel corso degli anni FG stijl ha interagito significativamente con i contractor italiani di Interna facendo nascere nel tempo una collaborazione tecnico-esecutivo-creativa La collezione AngloDutch è il risultato di questi anni di lavoro in comune e del desiderio di progettare e realizzare insieme mobili unici per un mondo, quello del contract, ben conosciuto dalle due parti. Grazie alla cooperazione con Interna, per la prima volta un’intera collezione di mobili FG stijl sarà disponibile ora per il pubblico Come scrittore ho viaggiato con Finnegan e Glintmeijer attraverso Europa, Asia e Medio Oriente

ed ho capito che lo scopo di FG stijl non è di imporre il proprio stile, ma piuttosto di capire chi sono i clienti con cui si rapporta e di interpretarli nel loro ambiente Qualsiasi siano le richieste, il team di FG stijl è alla costante ricerca di usi, costumi, tradizioni, la cultura insomma che sottende al progetto; l’estetica che ne risulta è un intreccio armonioso di design e di tratti architettonici, un connubio assoluto Nel 2008 il percorso professionale di FG stijl è stato raccolto in un libro a cui ho collaborato, intitolato Designed for People (Progettato per persone), pensato per ricordare i lavori di cui Colin e Gerard vanno più orgogliosi. Quest’anno il duo del design ha all’attivo altre pietre miliari, prima fra tutte questa collezione di mobili per Interna, poi l’apertura di numerosi hotel e resort europei, infine la pubblicazione del volume a testimonianza dei loro progetti più apprezzati Sian Tichar Londra, Marzo 2008

Award-winning Anglo-Dutch design studio FG stijl presents their new furniture collection AngloDutch. The name reflects the cultural background of the two founders of FG stijl; Colin Finnegan, a British native, and Dutchman Gerard Glintmeijer.Inspiration for their first furniture collection came from the history and traditions of the royal houses of their respective countries The genealogical lines of both royal families often entwined over the centuries and this has affected the life and society, not only of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, but also had massive global influence.With this collection, Interna has further consolidated a long-term partnership with the Anglo-Dutch studio: together the designers worked on the interiors of The College Hotel and The Dylan Hotel in Amsterdam, and the restaurant Maxime in The Hague. Recently they finished four restaurant concepts in the new, futuristic BMW Welt showroom in Munich, Germany. This latest Monograph Collection follows Interna’s first one, Les Grands Classiques, developed by Jacques Garcia and presented in 2006 The Monograph Collections by Interna join the three permanent series: Traditional, Transitional and Contemporary, and present the most important pieces created by famous interior designers during their careers in the contract and hospitality sectors.

A glorious Revolution

It was during the ‘Glorious Revolution’ of 1688-1689 that William III (of Orange), already the Stadtholder of the Netherlands, became Kind of England and ruled jointly with his English wife, Mary. Born on 4 November 1650 in The Hague, the Netherlands, William III’s father, William II of Orange, died just before his birth His mother Mary was English, the daughter of Charles I The Orange family were the most powerful in Holland but they did not enjoy hereditary sovereignty It was only when William was in his twenty-second year that his family came back into office when, in 1672, Louis XVI of France invaded the country and William was invited to be ‘Stadtholder’ of the Netherlands and its military commander He successfully drove the French out of Holland and, in doing so, became a Protestant hero. A marriage to his cousin Mary, the elder daughter of James, Duke of York, heir to the English throne, took place in 1677. The alliance was intended to formalise Anglo-Dutch relations against the French James, Duke of York, became King James II in 1685, but many English citizens were unhappy to serve under a Catholic ruler The birth of his son in the summer of 1688 secured Catholic succession for James and disgruntled Protestant opponents requested intervention from William He obliged, wasting lit tle time and landing with an army in Devon that very November Most of the English nobility supported William and James had no choice but to depart to Catholic France. Soon after, in early 1689, William and Mary took the English throne as joint monarchs. Parliament created a ‘Declaration of Rights’ (which was later called a ‘Bill of Rights’) outlining grievances against James, limiting the power of the monarchy and affirming important rights relating to the powers of parliament Meanwhile predominantly Catholic Ireland remained loyal to James, who landed there with French troops in March 1689. In July 1690, William defeated James at the Bat tle of the Boyne. Yet fighting the French remained William’s preoccupation. In 1689, he brought Britain into the ‘Grand Alliance’ against France For the next eight years he was frequently engaged in bat tle, first in Ireland and then on the Continent, leaving his wife Mary to rule in his absence. William managed to hold the Grand Alliance together and in 1697, under the terms of the Treaty of Ryswick, Louis XIV surrendered much of the territory he had won by conquest and recognised William as England’s king Mary died of smallpox in 1694 leaving William to rule alone After falling off his horse at Hampton Court Palace, he passed away on 19 March 1702. The marriage of William and Mary never begat children, so Mary’s sister Anne inherited England’s crown.

FG stijl, il pluri-premiato studio di design anglo-olandese, presenta AngloDutch, la nuova collezione di arredi creata per Interna. Il nome riflet te il background culturale dei due fondatori dello studio: il britannico Colin Finnegan e l’olandese Gerard Glintmeijer. Per questa collezione i due designer si sono ispirati alla storia e alle tradizioni delle case reali dei rispet tivi paesi, le cui genealogie si sono spesso intrecciate nel corso dei secoli influenzando non solo la vita e la società dei Paesi Bassi e del Regno Unito, ma anche quelle di gran parte del mondo. Con questa collezione Interna consolida ulteriormente una collaborazione di lunga durata con lo studio anglo-olandese: insieme hanno lavorato a proget ti quali gli interni del The College Hotel e del The Dylan Hotel di Amsterdam oltre che del ristorante Maxime a L’Aja; insieme hanno recentemente arredato il nuovo e futuristico BMW Welt di Monaco di Baviera, in Germania. La collezione monografica AngloDutch segue la prima collezione di Interna, Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia sviluppata dal famoso designer e presentata nel 2006 Le Collezioni Monografiche di Interna affiancano con cadenza regolare le tre serie permanenti, Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary e presentano i pezzi più significativi creati ad hoc da designer d’elezione per altret tante strut ture d’ospitalità mondiali.

Una Gloriosa Rivoluzione

Durante la “Gloriosa Rivoluzione” che ebbe luogo tra il 1688 e il 1689, Guglielmo III d’Orange, già Stadtholder dei Paesi Bassi, fu incoronato re d’Inghilterra e salì al trono con la moglie inglese, Maria. Era nato il 4 novembre 1650 a L’Aja, nei Paesi Bassi, da Guglielmo II d’Orange, il quale morì poco dopo, e da Maria, figlia di Carlo I d’Inghilterra Gli Orange erano la famiglia più potente d’Olanda, ma non godevano di una corona ereditaria La famiglia riacquistò il potere nel 1672 quando Luigi XVI di Francia invase il paese; Guglielmo, ventiduenne, fu invitato ad assumere il titolo di Stadtholder e di comandante militare dei Paesi Bassi e, dopo aver respinto i francesi, venne acclamato nuovo eroe del protestantesimo Il matrimonio con la cugina Maria, figlia maggiore di Giacomo, Duca di York ed erede al trono inglese, avvenne nel 1677. Tale alleanza mirava a consolidare formalmente la linea di condot ta anglo-olandese contro la Francia. Nel 1685 il Duca di York venne incoronato col nome di Giacomo II, ma molti cit tadini inglesi non accolsero con favore l’ascesa al potere del governante cat tolico, e la nascita del figlio nell’estate del 1688, che assicurava la successione cattolica di Giacomo II, suscitò il malcontento tra gli oppositori protestanti che richiesero l’intervento di Guglielmo d’Orange Senza perdere tempo e sostenuto da gran parte della nobiltà inglese, questi sbarcò nel Devon con un esercito quello stesso novembre e costrinse Giacomo II a rifugiarsi nella cat tolica Francia. Poco dopo, agli inizi del 1689, Guglielmo III d’Orange e Maria salirono al trono come sovrani congiunti. Il Parlamento promulgò una “Dichiarazione dei dirit ti” (successivamente chiamata “Legge dei dirit ti”) che dava voce alle proteste contro re Giacomo, limitava le prerogative regie e affermava i dirit ti del parlamento Nel frat tempo l’Irlanda, in gran parte cat tolica, rimaneva fedele a Giacomo, che vi sbarcò con truppe francesi nel 1689. Nel luglio del 1690, Guglielmo III sconfisse Giacomo II nella battaglia del fiume Boyne. Ma le preoccupazioni di Guglielmo erano ancora rivolte ai francesi e nel 1689 entrò a far parte della “Grande Alleanza”contro la Francia Negli ot to anni che seguirono fu costantemente impegnato in guerra, prima in Irlanda e poi sul continente, lasciando Maria sola al governo. Guglielmo riuscì a tenere unita la “Grande Alleanza” e nel 1697, con il Trat tato di Ryswick, costrinse Luigi XVI a cedere gran parte dei territori conquistati e a riconoscerlo come re d’Inghilterra Maria morì di varicella nel 1694 lasciando Guglielmo solo sul trono. Dopo una caduta da cavallo nella residenza di Hampton Court, il re morì il 19 marzo del 1702. Non avendo Guglielmo e Maria avuto eredi, la corona inglese passò così alla sorella di Maria, Anna.

Fabric requirements are shown without repeat and with a width of 140 cm/ 55 in Fabrics of different widths or with repeat are calculated on a one-off basis Leather requirements are given in sq.meters/sq.feet . I piani sono in legno massello e marmo come indicato specificamente per ogni modello oppure con protezione in vetro solo su richiesta I piani impiallacciati nelle essenze indicate specificamente per ogni modello, sono composti da particelle di legno e rispet tano la normativa UNI

EN 309 ed EN 120/95 classe E1 I pannelli non sono ignifughi o idrofughi salvo richiesta specifica del cliente

Scivoli

Gli scivoli sono in nylon, su richiesta è possibile applicare scivoli in metallo e in feltro

Verniciatura e laccature

Le verniciature dei piani sono realizzate con resine UV, poliuretaniche o acriliche in funzione delle essenze utilizzate. Basamenti e colonne vengono verniciati con resine poliuretaniche o acriliche. Qualora richiesto e ove tecnicamente realizzabile possono essere eseguite verniciature ignifughe conformi alla normativa del paese di destinazione.

Structure

Structures of casegoods are made of fibre panels according to standards UNI EN 309 and EN 120/95, class E1. Panels are veneered with finishes and woods as specifically indicated in this catalogue for each model Panels are not fire-retardant or water-proof unless this is requested by the client Drawers are made of plywood with the same finish as for the piece of furniture to which they refer to and are installed on metal 3/4 extension concealed runners On demand drawers can be installed on full extension runners Marble tops have a polished finish.

Varnishing and lacquering

Varnishing is made with polyurethane or acrylic resins, depending on type of woods and veneers to be used On demand and when technically feasible fire-retardant varnishing according to laws and standards in force in the country of destination may be performed

I tessuti vengono forniti dal cliente I consumi dei tessuti vengono indicati senza rapporto e sulla base di un ’altezza di tessuto di 140cm/55in. Per i tessuti in altezza diversa o con rapporto, i consumi vengono calcolati di volta in volta

A richiesta è possibile tappezzare gli articoli combinando diversi tessuti Anche in questo caso i consumi verranno calcolati di volta in volta.

This collection is a flexible ‘tool’ for those who create one-off products and projects for the contract and hospitality industry, and as such each item in the catalogue can be produced in a limitless range of finishes. The materials and finishes in this catalogue therefore refer only to codified items. For each item we can also use customer-supplied materials or other materials and finishes different from those included here, but their use will be evaluated on an individual basis and will take into consideration the technical feasibility and the end-use of the products.

Per ogni articolo è possibile l’impiego di finiture e materiali a campione o diversi da quelli menzionati, il cui impiego andrà comunque valutato di volta in volta compatibilmente con le possibilità tecniche e le destinazioni d’uso.

Frames

Visible wooden parts are made of solid wood with finishes and types of wood as specifically indicated in this catalogue for each model. Frames are made of solid wood, plywood or fibre panels, reinforced and glued. Seat bases are made of plywood boards and/or elasticated straps.

Upholstery

Upholstery padding is made of flame-retardant variable density foam, which conform to standards in force in the country of destination. Resinates such as Valform are used in some models.

Fabric and leather

Fabrics and leather are supplied by the customer (C.O.M.). Fabric requirements are shown without repeat and with a width of 140 cm/ 55 in. Fabrics of different widths or with repeat are calculated on a one-off basis. Leather requirements are given in sq.meters/sq.feet . Quantities of special or small size leather are calculated on a one-off-basis. On request, items can be upholstered with a combination of various fabrics and/or leathers. In this case the calculations will again be made on a one-off basis.

Finials

Finials are made of metal with finishes as specifically indicated in this catalogue for each model.

Glides

Glides are made of nylon or, on demand, metal or felt.

Varnishing and lacquering.

Varnishing is done with polyurethane or acrylic resins, depending on the type of wood and veneers used. On demand, and when technically feasible, fire-retardant varnishing which satisfies the laws and standards in force in the country of destination may be performed

Sizes

The dimensions of all products stated in the technical specifications are given in centimetres and are subject to normal tolerances.

Struttura

Le parti in legno a vista sono in massello nelle essenze e nelle finiture indicate specificamente per ogni modello. I fusti sono realizzati in legno massello, multistrati, pannelli di fibra adeguatamente rinforzati ed incollati. I supporti di seduta sono realizzati con pannelli di multistrati e/o cinghie elastiche.

Imbottitura

L’imbottitura è eseguita con gomme a densità differenziata, ignifughe in base alla normativa dei paesi di destinazione. Alcuni modelli prevedono l’uso di resinati tipo Valform.

Tessuti e pelli

I tessuti, i pellami ed i cuoi vengono forniti dal cliente. I consumi dei tessuti vengono indicati senza rapporto e sulla base di un’altezza di tessuto di 140cm/55in. Per i tessuti in altezza diversa o con rapporto i consumi vengono calcolati di volta in volta. I consumi di pellami e cuoi vengono indicati in metri quadri / piedi quadri. Per pellami particolari o di piccole dimensioni i consumi vengono calcolati di volta in volta. A richiesta è possibile tappezzare gli articoli combinando diversi tessuti o pelli. Anche in questo caso i consumi verranno calcolati di volta in volta.

Puntali

I puntali sono in metallo nelle finiture indicate specificamente per ogni modello.

Scivoli

Gli scivoli sono in nylon Su richiesta è possibile applicare scivoli in metallo o in feltro.

Verniciatura e laccature

Le verniciature sono realizzate con resine poliuretaniche o acriliche in funzione delle essenze utilizzate. Qualora richiesto e ove tecnicamente realizzabile possono essere eseguite verniciature ignifughe conformi alla normativa del paese di destinazione.

Dimensioni

Le dimensioni indicate per ogni prodotto nella scheda descrit tiva, espresse in centimetri, sono soggette alle tolleranze d’uso..

The tables with wood top, lacquered or varnished, due to the nature of wood, can be damaged by direct contact with warm sources. On demand, Interna can supply glass tops as protection for the wood or tops made of high pressure laminate.

TAVOLI

Struttura

Le basi e le colonne sono realizzate in metallo o legno massello a seconda delle indicazione specifiche dei modelli. I piani sono in legno massello, metallo, vetro oppure pelle COM come indicate specificamente per ogni modello.

I piani impiallacciati nelle essenze indicate specificamente per ogni modello, sono a base di legno e rispettano la normativa UNI EN 717 ed EN 120/95 classe E1.

I pannelli non sono ignifughi o idrofughi salvo richiesta specifica del cliente. Gli scivoli sono in nylon, su richiesta è possibile applicare piedini in metallo e in feltro.

Verniciatura e laccature

Le verniciature dei piani sono realizzate con resine UV, poliuretaniche o acriliche in funzione delle essenze utilizzate. Basamenti e colonne vengono verniciati con resine poliuretaniche o acriliche. Qualora richiesto e ove tecnicamente realizzabile possono essere eseguite verniciature ignifughe conformi alla normativa del paese di destinazione.

Dimensioni

Le dimensioni indicate per ogni prodotto nella scheda descrit tiva, espresse in centimetri, sono soggette alle tolleranze d’uso.

Note d’uso

I tavoli con top in essenza, laccati o verniciati, per la natura stessa del legno possono venire danneggiati dal diretto contatto con fonti di calore. Su richiesta Interna può fornire piani in vetro a protezione della superficie in legno oppure piani in laminato plastico ad alta resistenza (HPL).

Structure

Structures of casegoods are made of wood based panels according to standards UNI EN 717 and EN 120/95,class E1. Panels are veneered with finishes and woods as specifically indicatedin this catalogue for each model. Panels are not fire-retardant or water-proof unless this is requested by the client.

Drawers are made of plywood with the same finish as for the piece of furniture to which they refer to and are installed on metal 3/4- extension concealed runners . On demand drawers can be installed on full extension runners.Hinges are made of nickel-plated steel. Marble and granite tops have a polished finish. Glides are made of nylon or, on demand, metal or felt.

The marble tops can be stained if placed in direct contact with acid substances. On demand, Interna can supply a protective treatment The protective treatment, due to the nature of the marble, must be renewed in time.

A richiesta possono essere forniti con guide ad estrazione totale.Le cerniere per l’apertura delle ante sono in metallo, in finitura nichelata. I piani in marmo e granito sono forniti in finitura lucida. Gli scivoli sono in nylon, su richiestaspecifica è possibile applicare piedini in metallo o in feltro.

Note d’uso

I tavoli con top in marmo possono essere macchiati se posti in contatto diretto con sostanze acide. Su richiesta Interna può fornire un trattamento protettivo. Il trattamento, a causa della natura stessa del marmo, deve essere ripetuto nel tempo.

The samples shown in this catalogue may differ slightly from the actual product.

Upon request Interna Collection can send a sample book with the actual materials used.

As far as wood is concerned even the real samples, owing to the natural qualities of wood, don’t guarantee that used materials match exactly the samples. Furthermore Interna Collection cannot guarantee that items produced using the same type of wood will always display uniformity in colour and grain.

Exposure to light and the natural ageing process mean that wood is subject to changes in colour. These notes also apply to different varieties of marble, granite and stone.

I campioni illustrati in questo catalogo possono differire da quelli reali nell’aspetto estetico e nella cromia. Su richiesta Interna Collection può perciò inviare un campionario fisico dei materiali a catalogo.

Riguardo alle essenze di legno, anche il campionario fisico, per la natura stessa del legno, non garantisce che i legni utilizzati corrispondano esat tamente ai campioni.

Inoltre non si garantisce che più prodot ti realizzati con la stessa essenza presentino uniformità di venatura e colore. Le finiture del legno possono altresì subire nel tempo variazioni di colore dovute all’esposizione alla luce e all’invecchiamento del legno stesso.

Quanto sopra si applica altresì ai marmi, ai graniti e alle pietre naturali.
