Just a friendly reminder that all requests from our care receivers MUST go through our office This could be rides or grocery / food deliveries We need to document these requests to keep compliant with our grants as well as to keep you as volunteers covered under our insurance while you are doing these very helpful services Care receivers should call it in, not rely on volunteers to relay the appointments

We had a great turn out for the Senior Expo here in Little Egg Harbor on May 1st Hopefully, we will recruit new volunteers from all the people that attended and expressed interest We welcome our "Snowbirds" who came home just in time to help with shopping and transportation We are always looking for new volunteers Please help us spread the word to friends and neighbors

Friendly Visiting Volunteers Needed
We have received some care receiver requests for friendly visits. We are looking for some volunteers to help meet these needs. Friendly visits could be just stopping by to chat, play cards or assist with small household tasks (no cleaning/laundry or finances). It can be a recurring visit with a set schedule (For example - every other Tuesday at 1pm) or as requested when specific needs are present. This is not caregiver respite. If you would be open to being assigned to a friendly visit, please call either office and let us know and we will be in touch to match you with a care receiver who lives close by. Thanks!

Attention: Drivers
We are hearing many of our care receivers are often forgetful and in turn confused about their upcoming appointments and who the driver is To help ease their worries, please call the care receiver 1-2 days after you receive the assignment, and then again the day prior to transport to confirm the pick up details This will greatly help them to stay confident and less confused. Thank you!
