INTERFAITH HEALTH & SUPPORT SERVICES Volunteer News

Welcome Spring! After quite a cold and snowy winter, it is so nice to see all the daffodils and budding trees again (even amidst the extra sneezes!).

This winter was the first in awhile where some of our rides and activities had to be cancelled due to snow and ice, we thank all our volunteers who braved the cold all winter to help our care receivers keep their appointments! Thankfully the snow related cancellations were able to be rescheduled and everyone was safely home during those days

We're so glad to see many of our snowbirds returning from their time in warmer weather. If you received a call from the office about returning to volunteer, please be in touch so we can update our records with accurate availability, and we aren’t calling you while you are away.

In this newsletter you’ll find details about changes we are making with our Little Egg Harbor office and more about that decision. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call and speak to Amy at the office.

Please make sure to RSVP for the Volunteer Appreciation on May 7th (Formal invitations were mailed in March)

Our evening begins with an Interfaith prayer service and music, followed by dinner, raffles and volunteer awards. This will be a lovely celebration of another year of your kind and generous service to our community.

We really hope you will join us!

Community Presentations

We are always mindful of how we can better share our mission with the local community. By visiting the active adult (55+) neighborhoods, coalition members (which includes 23 area congregations) and local organizations we are able to present to members and residents about our services and amazing volunteers.

If you belong to a Church, support or volunteer group, or live in a active adult community, please look for an option where Interfaith can come and share about our resources.

Maybe a Homeowners meeting, women ’ s group or book club?

Please call the office if you have a suggestion on where we can share more about Interfaith!
