FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Welcome elcome Interactors, Rotarians, and advisors to Interact District 5170’s Fall Leadership Conference!

What is a leader? What is Interact? Why are you here today? Those are the three questions we seek to answer through having our largest, most iconic, and most life-changing event yet. We, Interactors, aim to make a positive difference, whether that is an internal improvement of ourselves or taking initiative in local and international measures.

When our energy and drive as the youth are aligned with the unwavering vision of Rotary International, Interact thrives, transforms, and transcends.

Today, you are part of history. You are part of the most successful Interact district in the world — at the most prolific Interact event ever held. But that means nothing without your consent, your goals, and your voice. This is our impact. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and aim to be better than ever before today. Say hello to someone new: this could be your new best friend. Speak out when prompted: this could be your epiphany. Cheer till your heart fills with immense love: this is your family.

This year is a continuation of our legacy, one that was given to us and one we will eventually pass down. As one family with one goal of service, we want to celebrate all our achievements — whether it’s building families and communities or raising numbers for our causes. We are empowering change.

PAY-IT FORWARD This year, Interact D5170 is proud to present The Art of Giving, a FLC on-site

service workshop that will allow Interactors to get a hands-on experience in giving back to the community. Together, we will leave a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of children who are less fortunate. Interactors will have the opportunity to brighten a child’s day through the creation and donation of art-related projects. Today, we will experience the true meaning of Interact’s message: service above self.
