“So it will be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body”
- 1 Corinthians 15:42-45

In Loving Memory of our Wonderful Mom
Of all the special gifts in life however great or small, to have you as our Mom was the greatest gift of all.

Oshie Mae Tedford was born June 16, 1937 to Mr. and Mrs. Grant and Ella Tedford in Calhoun County. Oshie was the sixth of fourteen children. She accepted Christ at an early age at Little Rock M.B. Church where she was a devoted member until her health failed.
On December 14, 1968 she was united in holy matrimony to her husband of 57 years Franklin D. Vance. In their union, she beared 2 children, Maggie and Jimmy Vance. Oshie loved spending time with her family visiting her cousins and the elderly. She enjoyed cooking and she was known for her red velvet, hummingbird, and coconut cakes. Oshie was a resident of Calhoun Baptist Nursing Home for 2 years due to failing health. It was there on Sunday, November 9th that God summoned her home and she gained her heavenly wings.

I MADE IT HOME
I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it didn’t take too long. Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh, so new. I wish that you all could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand God is taking care of me.
I’m in the shelter of His hands. Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I’ll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when yall the angels sing. I really have to go for now. I’ve just got to try my wings.
