OWNERS STATEMENT Last year we went through one of the most complex and complicated transformations: an entirely new location (although I should point out two, over the course of a few months, for the news department) and new technology. On the other hand, this opened the door to an exciting new adventure, which accelerated the pace of innovation, attracting points of debate but also new audiences. The benefits of a good strategy translated into strong growth for the television division. In 2016, Antena 1 grew its primetime ratings by 6% in its key demographic, while consolidating its market share by 14% on the same slot. A very successful relaunch of our station dedicated to women resulted into the vivacious and fresh Happy Channel, driving the audience numbers to 50% appreciation during both primetime and whole day. Antena Stars and Antena 3 remained in strong positions on their niches, strengthening the group’s unique performance in the local media landscape, of holding 3 positions in top 10 all stations. The new viewing habits represented an opportunity for our multi-platform strategy, providing advertisers with rapid access to large audiences and a variety of content. Antena Play, the group’s SVOD, held a record number of views for the catch up TV shows (6 mil), while the average time spent per page for the most popular live channels amounted to 1,5 hours.
Furthermore, the team behind lajumate.ro, the group’s successful classified ads portal, launched two other hit ad websites, carzz.ro for the automotive market and homezz.ro for the real estate market. The radio division continued to hold its positive momentum, with a daily reach of almost 2 million listeners and sustained leadership in Bucharest for Radio ZU for the eighth year in a row. Our omni-channel strategy aims to leadership on each important platform, hence the commitment for our landmark print titles while expanding their footprint on new platforms. Moreover, the group pursued its established dialogue platform for authorities and business representatives in the form of Intact Professional Debates,bringing to the table important themes such as the health system, European funds, sports or infrastructure development. All these performances wouldn’t have been possible without the talent and creativity of our people, gifted professionals, passionate artists, bold journalists and skillful managers. We have always relied on our own capabilities, our integrity and we will continue to do that for at least the next 100 years. On behalf of my family, thank you for the trust you place in us.
Further enhancing our non-linear offer, Digital Antena Group, the online division that handles the avatars of the TV brands, had around 10 million unique users per month and 50 million page views, ascending into top five digital publishers in Romania. For the third consecutive year, A1.ro was the leader of the entertainment websites in Romania, while www. spynews.ro and www.antena3.ro were constantly in top 12 all websites in .ro. In the first month after its re-launch, www. observator.tv doubled its traffic, having more than 1 million unique users for the first time in 2016. ANNUAL REVIEW

Antena 1’s Prime Time shows were subject to an extensive TV – online –mobile – social media integration project. Second screen integration led to a high number of app downloads and increased reach online. Viewers could vote their favorite moment or contestant from the shows and send them directly to the last phases of the competition.
CASE STUDY: CHEF DELIVERY CAMPAIGN Pretext: “Chefi la cutite” final edition brought a premiere for cooking shows in Romania – Chef Delivery campaign. Mechanism: “Chefi la cuțite” fans were encouraged to enter chefilacutite.a1.ro, answer a series of questions and give a short and funny description of the show. Highlight: The six winners received a surprise visit from one of the three Chefs in the jury (Florin Dumitrescu, Sorin Bontea and Cătălin Scărlătescu) at home, bringing the dishes that were prepared during the show final.
CASE STUDY: GENERAL ELECTIONS DAY During the parliamentary elections day, antena3.ro was the most accessed news website in Romania with a historical record of more than 2.1 million views. In terms of views, antena3.ro surpassed competitors such as gsp.ro, realitatea.net, stirileprotv. ro, digi24.ro or libertatea.ro. At the end of the ten days, more than 250 dreams came true. KEY EVENTS 2016 The 23rd anniversary “Unim generații” (Binding generations) campaign brought into the spotlight reputed parents and children related by blood and profession alike, sharing the same values: professionalism, relevance, credibility and verticality. The re-launch of “Timpul Liber” (Timeout) supplement, featuring the TV guide, showbiz highlights, crossword puzzles, games and contests. This directly contributed to 30% growth in circulation.
