Merging the Power of Technology with Excellent Personal

The second inflection point, happened in March of 2020 when major tornados struck Nashville, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and Cookeville. Mt. Juliet, where the agency is located, took a major hit at 1:40AM. CJ sprang into action leveraging his technology skills and resources. As a result, he was able to geolocate and plot where his insureds were located along the path of tornado by 2:15AM and by 3:30AM had proactively contacted most all his insureds where the tornado had tracked. His first priority was checking in with them to see if they were injured or had sustained damage and then to assess their needs. CJ’s ability to leverage his technology “chops” to quickly serve his clients proved that technology and exceptional personal service working together is truly powerful.

Based on their experience on that March night in 2020, many of those clients have a strong allegiance to Hutsenspiller Insurance that will continue into the future. For CJ, this event underscored how insurance professionals “meet the moment.” By coupling technology and exceptional service together, agents can absolutely transform customer relationships.

Today, CJ continues to leverage technology and is dedicated to continuous improvement to find ways to better serve clients, his colleagues on staff and their insurance company partners. He remains a strong proponent of professional education to ensure the staff of Hutsenspiller Insurance can educate insureds about insurance coverages, elements of risk and solutions to mitigate their level of exposure.

CJ is a graduate of Wilson Central High School and is married to Shea, who also works in the agency handling many of their accounting functions. Shea is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a degree in Equine Science and a minor in Insurance. CJ and Shea have 5 dogs, 4 horses, and a cat. Outside of work, CJ enjoys spending time watching his wife compete in barrel race events at rodeos, playing frisbee golf, and toying around with computers. u
