Results of the ITPM Thailand Mentoring Program after Week 6-7 out of 14

Background information / context;-
• ITPM Mentors captaining this program are Anton Kreil (Managing Partner), Edward Shek and Jason Mcdonald (Senior Trading Mentors) with support from Philip Klein and Dieter Plas (Junior Trading Mentors).
• Every participant is a Retail Trader, trading their own money deposited at the Brokerage firms Tradestation in the U.S. or Interactive Brokers in Europe or Canada.
• Everyone in the group completed the IPLT, PTM and POTM Video Series provided by the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management prior to arriving in Thailand on April 16th .
• Students / participants spent 10 days in Thailand prior to live trading being taught in person in the at the ITPM resort / classroom by both the Senior and Junior Trading Mentors.
• The minimum account size deposit is $50,000 to participate in the program.
• Every student / participant is trading U.S. Stock Options implementing the ITPM Long Short Equity Options Portfolio Management Directional strategy (20-60 day time horizon).
• The majority of the group at this stage (June 13th) have completed Week 7 but some of the group have just completed Week 6 of their program.
• Trade Ideas are generated by the participants using the ITPM Trade Idea Generation Process
• Participants receive weekly ZOOM Calls with their Mentors for 1-2 hours in which the Mentor and participant devise a weekly trading plan.
Notable insights;-
• The group as a whole are up $466K on a starting capital of $3.238mln or 14.4% in 7 weeks or less
• On the Outperformance / Underperformance measure (O/U), the vast majority of the group are Outperforming the major indices in an “up market” since the May 5th starting date
• The group as a whole are Outperforming major indices by 6%-9.6% since May 5th .
• 26 of 29 participants are making money (90%).
• Although, the bottom 6 participants (20%) are struggling by either barely making money or losing a small amount. This is what we call at ITPM “a failure to launch.” There is no one reason why. This can happen for various reasons
• 2x participants in the bottom 6 have suspended / pulled out of their Mentoring Program due to personal reasons.
• Participants originate from 12 different countries.
• Out of the 29 participants there are 27 males and 2 females.
• Win / Loss rates and R-Scores for individuals and the group are not yet included in the data breakdown but will be after 14 weeks due to the data not yet being statistically significant.
