How long have you been modeling? I’ve been modeling for about three months, but they’ve definitely been the most exciting three months of my life.
school and work. I’ve always been committed to my academics, but modeling is so fun and unlike anything I’ve ever done, it’s worth being a little busier.
Tell us what got you started in modeling… It all happened really fast. It finally seemed like the right time to give it a try, so I sent in some pictures online and ended up signing with JE.
Do you have a favorite clothing item or accessory? I have an unhealthy shoe obsession. My life isn’t nearly fabulous enough for all the shoes I buy, but in the right pair I will strut my stuff anywhere, runway or grocery store.
Where were you born and where did you grow up? I’m a California girl, born in Santa Barbara and raised near Sacramento in Auburn. What is your favorite color? Can I pick black? I’m a pretty outgoing person, but black is so strong and classic. I’m just drawn to it over bright colors. What is your favorite food? I love anything sweet! Doughnuts, chocolate, ice cream, or pastries—if it can give you cavities I love it. A healthy body is important as a model, how do you keep yourself fit and happy? I think health is all about balance. I definitely treat myself, but I know that making healthy choices is important for maintaining physical fitness and energy. What do love most about being a model? I love the passion of everyone in the fashion industry. People genuinely love what they’re doing, and being a part of that energy is incredible. What do you see as the biggest challenges in modeling? Who is your favorite designer? I love Dior, of any decade. How did you prepare for this cover shoot with Inspirare? I researched Mansoor Scott to get a good feel for their clothes, and talked with the photographer, Jeffry, about the feeling of the shoot. If you met the designer, Mansoor Scott, what would you tell them about their designs? I would tell them that I think their clothes are so cool and modern but still perfectly tailored and flattering. I love them! What does fashion mean to you? I think fashion is an outward expression of what’s inside someone. When I’m wearing clothes that reflect my personality, I feel invincible.
