Creadaen2020durantelapandemiaglobal,estapiezasurgió de un momento en que la conexión física se volvió simultáneamentepreciosaypeligrosa.
“En medio de la pandemia decidí crear una obra que reflejaría la solidaridad que define lo que somos como seres humanos”, noscuenta.Laesculturafueconcebidacomouna serie de siete piezas de bronce originales, diseñadas para conectar siete lugares en un abrazo universal. Cuatro han encontradosuhogarytodavíatresesperansusdestinos.
Este trabajo representa más que una respuesta a una crisis global, encarna la visión artística más amplia de esta artista: “Una escultura para reflejar nuestra esencia, con líneas llenas de fuerza y armonía y un volumen que contiene todas las emociones: compasión, ayuda, encuentro y esperanza”. En un mundo del arte cada vez más impulsado por las tendenciasdelmercadoylavisibilidaddelasredessociales,
se destaca el compromiso de Ana Hernando con su visión personal. “Soy un artista de vocación plena, y eso me ha llevado a permanecer fiel a lo que el arte es para mí en cada unademisfacetascreativas”.Nosdice.

Hernando cree que el poder de la escultura radica en su relaciónúnicaconelespacioyeltiempo,poniendoenvalor quelasesculturassonlostestimoniosartísticosquemejorhan resistido a lo largo de la historia. Si bien reconoce que los nuevos materiales y tecnologías a veces pueden reducir la escultura al mero espectáculo, sostiene que sus cualidades esenciales siguen sin cambios. Según ella, la naturaleza tridimensional de la escultura, su presencia física en el espacio y su invitación al tacto, contribuyen a su impacto duradero.

Ana Hernando actualmente está desarrollando una nueva coleccióninspiradaensutrilogíapoética‘Soy Eres.Somos. Latidos esenciales’. Este proyecto incorpora tecnología simple diseñada para mejorar, en lugar de reemplazar, el mensajefundamentalensuesencia.Tambiéntieneplanesde producirundocumentalqueprofundiceenlaconexiónentre el artista y el espectador a través de la lente del proceso artístico.
Su visión para el futuro incluye el uso estratégico de la tecnología, pero solo cuando pueda servir al propósito más profundodeesaobra,cuandotengaverdaderosentidoypueda potenciar el mensaje que transmita. “La tecnología es otra herramienta más a disposición del artista, que quizás incorpore a proyectos futuros, cuando aporte un verdadero significado en el trabajo en sí. Todo llegará a su debido tiempo”.Explica.
