Crankworx Innsbruck 2018 Festival Guide

BIKEPARK INNSBRUCK Bikepark Innsbruck is located at the Muttereralm and offers four trails (with two more coming soon) just a tram ride away from downtown Innsbruck. The park consists of two sides, Mutters and Götzens. Mutters is more familyoriented and offers a natural forest trail, while Götzens is ideal for more experienced riders. New this summer, “The Chainless One“ is set to become a classic. The flow trail, designed by Tom Prohaska, brings a whole new style of trail to Bikepark Innsbruck with its wide curves and easy jumps. Once the Crankworx Innsbruck action wraps for another year, versions of the courses used for Slopestyle, Dual Speed & Style, Pump Track, Whip-Off and Downhill are open to the public.

THE EVENTS

RockShox Innsbruck Pump Track Challenge Training | Mutters, 9 am - 10.30 am Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle presented by Kenda Training | Mutters, 10 am - 5 pm

The action continues on Thursday with the Pump Track. Athletes will race head-to-head on an undulating circuit, using leg and upper body strength to pump through the course, to see who’s fastest from start to finish, without pedalling. The oneon-one format will also feature on Friday at the Dual Speed & Style, where riders looking for the win need both speed and style to come out on top. The most spectacular tricks of the week will be on show on Saturday, June 16 at the Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle. Part of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship, this event will bring together the world’s top 14 slopestyle riders to do battle in Tyrol.

The Crankworx World Tour is where ordinary humans perform the extraordinary and launch into the realm of the unimaginable. From slopestyle ninjas to downhill champs and enduro experts, sideways steeze-masters, slalom slayers and pump track pros - they all ride faster, climb further, fly higher, and go bigger than what was once thought to be possible, taking on the world and the challenges set before them with seemingly superhuman power and passion. In 2018, Crankworx brings their feats of two-wheeled magic to four stops around the world. Come along for the ride as the Crankworx World Tour travels to Rotorua, New Zealand (March 17-25), Innsbruck, Austria (June 13-17) and Les Gets, France (June 20-24), before bringing it home to Whistler, Canada for the 15th year of Crankworx competition (August 10-19).
