It’s a cold rainy night as I sit here late this evening. The holiday season has officially begun and with all the festivities, there is an excitement in the air. Our society is entrenched in the age of technology, which is definitely a “child’s delight” … even a child of the older generation. Most of us love our toys. The latest gadgets intrigue us, they entice the “little kid” within to spend hours playing and learning the new techniques of the digital age. But, where does this powerful age of techno bring us? Once the excitement wears off and we’ve learned all we can from the latest invention, the industry steps up and again announces “the new and improved toy”. Of course, we all must have one and so the lines form as we eagerly await our turn to buy the best … and it’s not even the holidays anymore! So, what can we do? What exactly is the end game? … To make the populous happy? Absolutely. To make a profit? No doubt. And yet, what is the final scenario for a world that is in love with technology? We can fight it, we can disparage it and all the while family and friends embrace it with glee. I also know that the harder we fight against an idea the stronger that idea becomes. Therefore, for those who see the writing on the wall, let’s not forget who we are and what we are doing is more important than what we have to “have”. Just be; just allow life to unfold. We must have the faith that Spirit is at the helm of the Universe and all will be in Divine Order … we will thrive. Finding our true and lasting happiness can only be found within ourselves. What is the most valuable technology there is today? WE ARE. We have a mind that makes choices, we have a body that moves us forward to fulfill those choices from our computer-like mind. And, we have a heart to love ourselves, our family and friends as well as our home, Mother Earth. We don’t need mechanical devices to tell us what to do, say or be. They may help us on a certain level, but can they feel the compassion and love of the human Spirit? I think not. I will now remove myself from my soapbox of opinions. It has been fun and I thank each of you for all the love you give to bring us into a brighter and happier world. And, since we are still in the Spirit of the holidays, may you find excitement in the giving to yourself and the place we call “home”. Enjoy the holiday and discover what truly makes you happy! How To Get SANTA To Deliver

My

Australian client Meg was tired of her corporate job and wished she could create a layoff with a generous severance package. So for fun she wrote herself a severance letter offering her desired package, printed it on company stationery, and signed it from the CEO. This was her idea of creating a treasure map toward her ideal scenario. The next day Meg’s supervisor called her into his office and told her he had some disturbing news. Someone had written Meg a severance letter and signed it as if from the CEO, but the CEO knew nothing about it. The supervisor produced the letter in question—the very document Meg had written herself and printed on the office printer. Apparently she had “accidentally” printed two copies and left one in the office printer.

that makes all visionaries, inventors, and creators successful. The invention is already real to them in their mind or imagination, and they bring it to life. The genius scientist Nikola Tesla recounted that all the ideas for his world-changing inventions came to him in mystical flashes of insight. He found entrée to the mansion where they already lived, and then fleshed them out in the world. Steven Spielberg said, “Once a month the sky falls on my head, I come to and I see another movie I want to make.” The movie is already a reality. Spielberg’s job as director is to deliver it to the world.

Two weeks later Meg got a real severance letter from the CEO, with the terms she had written herself. Christmas came early this year.

You, too, have access to fabulously creative and successful ideas that can and will change your life and the world. They are already real and, in a particular reality, already accomplished. You may not affect the world like Tesla or Spielberg, but you have your own sphere of influence; it is your destiny to touch. Mothers, waitresses, and van drivers sometimes bring more blessing and healing to the world in their own quiet ways than moguls who move lots of money and people around yet are devoid of happiness.

As children, we all delighted to believe in Santa Claus. What a thrill to sit on his lap, look into his twinkling eyes, and tell him exactly what we wanted, trusting he would deliver! Then some buzz kill elder brother or cynical teacher told us that Santa was just a guy the department store hired to don a white beard and red suit and tell kids what they wanted to hear. End of childhood, beginning of cold hard reality. Or is it?

This holiday season you can get Santa to deliver. Sure, you can manifest stuff, but why not manifest the most valuable present of all: inner peace. When you are at peace with yourself, you bring healing to everyone you meet. Peace is not something you import from the outside. It is an inner state that you claim. Sort of like writing yourself a love letter from the universe and then discovering the CEO has already signed it.

Santa Claus is not a person, but he is a principle, a dynamic, a universal idea that goes far beyond a person. Santa Claus represents a benevolent universe that knows our needs and can and will deliver our good to us. Just as Jesus is a channel through which the Christ energy flows, and Buddha is the being through which Buddha Mind is expressed, Santa is a cultural form—a local permission slip through which we allow ourselves to receive the blessings we desire and deserve.

There are two ways of asking: asking from need and asking from fulfillment. Hardly anyone asks from fulfillment because we usually indentify with need. “I am lacking. I want this and I don’t have it. I am empty and I need the universe to fill in the blank.” But the results we get depend on how we ask. Meg’s self-created layoff letter is a clever example of asking from fulfillment. She went to the place she wanted to go to even before it showed up. Her sense of having what she wanted was stronger than not having what she wanted. She affirmed the solution rather than the problem. Many people are familiar with the science fiction theme of parallel realities. But the principle is more science than fiction. There are an infinite number of realities occurring simultaneously. Jesus stated this in the language of his time: “In my Father’s house there are many mansions.” Anything that has existed, will exist, or could exist, already exists. So even while you experience a lack of something in one reality, in another reality that lack has already been fulfilled. More precisely, in that reality, there has never been a lack. There is always and only fulfillment. The key to manifestation is to go to the reality where fulfillment already exists even before you see the evidence in the realm of the five senses. ince before recorded time, people all over the world have intuitively known about and used Crystals and Gemstones for various purposes such as, healing, protection, and to enhance and strengthen their psychic abilities. The Christian Bible refers to crystals over 200 times. Precious stones of crystalline formation were used in the foundation of New Jerusalem (Revelations). Stones were also used in breastplates and crowns, and were imbedded in the handles of swords. Crystalline structures have been found in the ruins of Babylonia and the ancient tombs of Egyptian and Chinese rulers.

Crystals exhibit the properties of both piezoelectricity (pie-ee-zo electricity) and pyroelectricity. Piezoelectricity is the quality whereby electricity, and sometimes light, is produced via compression. Many early civilizations of Earth, such as: Mayan, Aztec, American Indian, African Native, Celtic, and more, used crystals in ceremonies and struck the crystals together in order to produce a flash of light. Pyroelectricity is the quality of an electrified state, or polarity, which is produced by, and changes with, variation in temperature. When heated, certain crystals release energy as they expand and then contain the energy within themselves when cooled and contracted. Crystals vibrate and have their own energy. That is why Quartz Crystals are used in computers, watches, radios, televisions, telephone services, medical equipment, and other high-tech equipment. From the earliest prehistoric times to our technological age we

have found beauty, power and mystery within stones. With their powers we can change ourselves and our lives. Metaphysical Properties & Uses Do you want to test a crystal’s energy for yourself? Hold a single terminated crystal in one hand and aim the point of the crystal toward the palm of your opposite hand a few inches away. Close your eyes and move the crystal around as if you were drawing a circle on your palm. What do you feel? Tingling? Warmth? Itching? A slight pressure? That is energy being directed to your palm from the crystal. You can also just hold a crystal in your hand, close your eyes, and concentrate on the feeling. You are interacting with the Crystal. Behind all this is the fact that crystals are electromagnetic and our energy body (our aura) is electromagnetic. Crystals are a complete embodiment of the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water, just as ourselves and everything around us. When using crystals as healing tools, you are working with all the elements of creation and universal energy. We can create imbalances within our etheric bodies from something as simple as the way we think. Dis-ease in the body is a non-harmonious flow of thought patterns within the mind, which causes an irregularity of the energy flow within the chakras. Giving & Receiving The

Cycle In my book, Spiritual Energy Cycles, it is clearly pointed out that giving is not complete until it is received, and receiving is not complete until it is given. In other words, giving and receiving are just opposite sides of the same circle. Since we humans live in the warp of time and space, we are oftentimes taken in by the illusion of separation between the giving and receiving halves. But in energetic reality, they cycle simultaneously. The giving energy must flow into receiving, and the energy expended in receiving must welcome the giving. Thus, a flow of energy is created. Otherwise, giving or receiving stay in separation and go dead. If you understand this concept, even a little bit, you will see it doesn’t work to be a giver or receiver. You must be both. The trick to being both is not giving to or receiving from the physical person or situation. Instead, you must give or receive the spiritual intent behind the gift. For instance, if a person gives you a nice birthday present, you may appreciate the thoughtfulness and enjoy using the present; yet, the real gift will be the energy encased in the “why” they gave it to you. The “why,” or intent behind the giving, could be something like friendship or appreciation. However, obligation doesn’t count, since it is not a spiritual energy. The cycle of giving and receiving may not happen immediately, nor will it always happen with the same person or in the same way. Let me give a personal example. Several years ago I was in a serious car accident. I was left an invalid for three months. During that time friends brought me food, helped bathe me, washed my clothes, and stayed with me night and day. Many spiritual

energy gifts were given—support, love, kindness, caring, health. While I could receive and appreciate greatly all that was given, I was in no place to give back to a similar situation, nor was I even able to give much energy at that time. Recently, an opportunity to give back and complete the cycle around that particular circumstance was given to me. A friend from my past has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I have offered support and care, in a different form than was given to me, but nonetheless it matches the other half of the intent during my recovery. You don’t need to worry about opportunities for completing the giving and receiving cycle. They will be given to you. However, to recognize and step into them, you will need to have fully received or fully given with spiritual intent. This takes away needing to give or receive for or from a person, but for and from the sacred energy of your Spirit. Spiritual intent in giving creates halffull circles. Since all spiritual energy has the magnetic power to pull to it like energy, energy to fill the other half of the circle will be made available. In this way, you can receive your energetic partner around any given intent. Giving and receiving seen in this way allows you to become a spiritual matchmaker of sacred marriages. Quantum Jumping Everything is energy; including you

ave you noticed how some things move around as if they had a life of their own -- especially when you feel stressed or are in a hurry? Keys aren’t where you know you put them, coats and wallets vanish or transport to different locations, and socks go missing from the laundry. Why? In actuality, we are all reality shifters. Reality shifts when things appear, disappear, transform or transport…as well as when we experience changes in time. There are scientific explanations for these reality and time shifts that happen in and around us most every day, in the form of synchronicity. Reality shift experiences range from the sublime (missing socks or keys), to the ridiculous (things reappearing in completely unexpected locations), to the absolutely astonishing (dead people being seen alive again; objects appearing out of thin air; traveling great distances in extremely short periods of time; spontaneous remissions of illness and disease). The exciting element is that we notice more reality shifts as we open our minds to considering such things possible, and also as we imagine that our waking reality is every bit as malleable as a dream. American psychologist William James was one of the first people to write about how we can experience changes through willpower in order to realize a whole new reality…whether that reality is getting out of bed early on a cold morning, or keeping a new resolution to adopt healthier habits. William James also noted that, “If you want a quality, act as if you already have it.” There is a growing body of evidence from many fields of science, including astronomy, physics, and biology that suggests we are in a holographic multiverse in which we are presented with a radical new paradigm: we literally jump from one parallel universe to another. Through such quantum jumps, in a moment you can become smarter, more confident, happier, more outgoing, more effective,

in better relationships, with more willpower. You can also gain practical tools to achieve real change in your life, and leap forward to become happier and more prosperous…living the life of your dreams. The key to making quantum jumps from one reality to another comes from gaining a sense of detachment through lucid dreaming or meditation, by which we view ourselves as existing as pure consciousness. From this vantage point, we become aware of multitudes of possibilities. The more sensitive and aware we are of our aura energy and the energy around us, the better able we will be to make decisions and plans we’re happiest with in the long run for our smoothest and most enjoyable path in life. When we become adept at shifting reality--sometimes referred to as quantum jumping, we can find out just how good your life can get. Making time to enjoy a blissful state of relaxed, energized mindfulness without envisioning anything in particular can bring powerful, positive effects. Additionally, the consensus among physicists is that we, and everything around us, exists simultaneously in many possible realities. Now, before you shelve the quantum jumping theory, recall for a moment the Star Trek series and how outrageous it seemed to have such strange technology and yet, many of the “gadgetry” depicted have come to past. Something to think about. Quantum jumping is a natural process and as humanity continues to expand their consciousness, the new reality shifts become a more enjoyable process. I came across a gem of a book in a quaint, used book store. The book is a Chinese Buddhist text called Changing Destiny: Liao-Fan’s Four Lessons by Venerable Master Chin Kung. It says that ancient advisors could predict the future of a person by observing their speech and behavior patterns. This really struck me and got me thinking: If speech reveals patterns, then the corollary is, with your voice, you can change your destiny. Here are some suggestions on how to do just that.
 Let’s begin with words. Words are vibration and your voice is the instrument. By choosing the highest words, you raise your vibration attracting your most positive destiny.
 1. The words you choose are invocations.
 Our words create our future. Behind every word is the universal command “So Be It.” Every sound, word, and sentence holds the energy of creation. On a page, words appear flat. Energetically, words have power and they can permeate your thinking and how you perceive reality. Our minds digest words in the same way the stomach digests food, and your words can nurture how you look at life or disrupt your well-being. Do you want the “Everything Works” software or the “My Life is Always Difficult” software?
 Words have a hypnotic ability to plant seeds in our consciousness. Advertisers know the power of words to sway consumers. Governments use propaganda to manipulate political consciousness. But words can also heal: When you go up to a lake and say how beautiful it is, the lake will begin to transform, and any pollutants will lessen. When you tell your spouse how beautiful they are, they will glow, and the relationship will glow. When you tell a child how smart they are, their natural intelligence will show.


2. Save “I am” for proclamations, use “I feel” for expressing emotional states. If you say, “I am depressed,” that sounds permanent, like it’s been etched in stone. “I feel depressed,” is more temporal and fleeting. The words “I am” have Divine Power. When you say, “I am,” you are that state of being, that state of creation. These words call God into the picture and the power is amplified. Use these two words carefully. Save them for proclamations like: “I am beautiful, I am strong, I am prosperous, and I am calm.”
 3. Avoid these words because they are life blockades: Never and Can’t. Each use of “never” and “can’t” becomes a brick in a wall that surrounds your dreams. Why build fences with your words when you can have open fields where your dreams can flourish? Words that we use in repetition hammer in reality. Use your words to build up rather than break down.
 I remember a teacher in Junior High telling me I couldn’t draw very well, and that stuck with me for years. It was only years later I started drawing again. You know what? I like my drawings! Creativity is viewed as some have it and some don’t in this culture. I believe creativity and intuition are standard human operating equipment. Creativity includes art, drama, dance, music, and writing, but it can also be how we interact with people, how we solve problems, even how we rest. Creativity is how we design life each moment. As the author of your own life story, use the best words possible!
 4. Express words of appreciation and gratitude. Apply liberally.
 These are the antidotes for anger and frustration. Gratitude sings of joy, and everyone wants to hear and draw near. Gratitude is a magnet for good and makes things whole. Anger splits open and creates fractures in life’s flow. Anger also magnetizes, but it attracts frustrating, pesky situations.
 Be grateful for things not (yet) in your life and watch them quickly appear. You can turn any problem around by being thankful for its opposite. Are you and your boyfriend arguing? Say, “I’m thankful for calm, insightful, and peaceful communication with my boyfriend.” Say it 100 plus times and you will have massaged your consciousness. You are getting the kinks out of your thought

processes and peaceful communication will emerge.
 When you are thinking of what to be grateful for, remember the most important gift is simply to be alive. What a gift it is to be here, to learn, and to serve!
 5. Tone of Voice and Word Choices Change Intention.
 I remember watching Tom Hanks on the television show “Inside The Actor’s Studio.” He was commenting how doing the voice for an animation character is hard work. You could be asked to say one sentence a variety of ways to create a different emphasis. Play with tone in your words to create more of what you want in your life. Tone of voice and the corresponding words we choose reflect the intention behind your words. Not only that, it reflects what we believe and don’t believe about what is possible in life. The sense of possibility is the doorway for creation: Keep this doorway open.
 Let’s use this as an example, a topic that most everyone worries about: money. Read each of these statements below, and watch how your consciousness changes. I am broke. I never have enough money. Money is a corrupted ideal. Money is my friend. Money flows in from many channels. I always have more than enough. I’m thankful for my abundant life. Thank you for my ever-flowing abundance from the Divine Source. Notice how your body feels with each statement, how your breathing changes. Also notice which statements enliven your awareness and make you feel most open to unexpected possibilities. 6. Chanting as Meditation, Chanting as Mental Floss. Any words repeated are a chant. Chants also program the mind, so upbeat positive, devotional words are best. With meditation, I often sit for five or ten minutes and then my nose will start to twitch, or my arm starts to itch like a

mosquito just bit me. I get restless. But I can chant for much longer. I can chant for 30 minutes to an hour, no problem. The sound clears my head. When you chant, let your voice be like a bow to the Divine: Chant with devotion. I chant in a lower resonant voice sometimes or a higher joyful voice. OM (AUM), the Sanskrit word for God is an excellent chant. You can make a chant from any affirmation like “Peace” or “Joy,” or “I am healthy,” “I am prosperous.” Remember: Words we repeat about ourselves are a live chant. Use complimentary words when you speak about your life and yourself, especially during challenging periods. 7. Shake Off Adversity by Focusing on Your Higher Goals. Words like “loss” and “failure” tend to haunt us. We let them label us and we begin to identify with these words. Challenging times can trick you if you let them. They can trick you into believing that the difficulties are here to stay. They are passing clouds. If we don’t let go of loss, we weave it into our ongoing life experience only to meet adversity once again. Adversity often brings a hidden blessing or lesson in humility. Your ego gets a trim, snipping away the unessential, so you can get closer to what’s really important. Adversity carries with it all the big lessons of love, simplicity, and trust. Delays, setbacks, and a period of limbo often accompany a challenging period. This is a powerful embryonic state, a blank slate where you can begin again, your own personal Etch-A-Sketch for envisioning a new future. No matter how many things fall from the sky, keep focused on your prosperity, your love, your success, getting clearer by the day. There’s nothing natural about living a life of stress

There’s nothing natural about living a life filled with stress and anxiety, having feelings of despair o r d e p re s s i o n , and needing pills to tranquilize yourself. Agitated thoughts that produce high blood pressure, a nervous stomach, persistent feelings of discomfort, an inability to relax or sleep, and frequent displays of displeasure and outrage are violating your natural state. You are peace and joy, but you’ve allowed your ego to dominate your life. Here’s a short list of stress-inducing thoughts that originate in your ego self: It’s more important to be right than to be happy; Winning is the only thing so when you lose, you should be stressed; Your reputation is more important that your relationship with your Source; Success is measured in dollars rather than in feeling happy and content; Being superior to others is more important than being kind to others.

What’s Your Story? “That’s my story and I’m sticking to it”. What is holding you back from achieving your full Potential and greatness? “That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.” Do you recognize that expression? Perhaps you’ve used it yourself. Sometimes it’s said with great conviction and determination, allowing no discussion or argument. Sometimes it’s said as a joke, especially when we want to cover up an embarrassing incident. Then there are times our “That’s my story” is said jokingly as a deflection because the speaker doesn’t want to face an issue that’s begging to be addressed. And finally, someone will tell their story with great sincerity and a touch of anguish, as in, “I can’t look at that issue, it’s buried so deep and is so painful.” It’s interesting to watch as I or someone else tells their story. Generally we’re not aware that what we’re saying is some old subconscious tape that is running our lives. When we recognize we are telling a story, we have the opportunity to look at the tape that has been governing our lives and shine a conscious light on it. I have a story from early childhood that “No one listens to what I say” and its corollary, “It doesn’t matter what I say.” The only problem with that is I’ve made my living for so many years leading teams, supervising staff, teaching, coaching, speaking to groups, etc., etc., etc. And yet I held onto my story of “No one listens to me” for years.

No, not my physical well-being (although I’m sure my health would have been impacted if I hadn’t taken action). It was my emotional and spiritual well-being that were at risk. So, what’s your story? Seek out people who have already done their work and are in a space emotionally and spiritually where you would like to be. This is a wonderful life—if we let it be and are willing to do the work.

Great story to wallow in, but it’s not true. So I have the opportunity to look at it through a different lens and release it. But not to worry, as I release this story, I know I’ll have plenty more to draw from. At this point in my life, when I recognize a story for what it really is, i.e., something that I made up, I have a good laugh and internal conversation of “Look at you! Here’s another chance to let go.” Perhaps I’m the only one who has such a wealth of stories to fall back on, when I have an unconscious moment, although I don’t think so. We use our stories as a way to avoid pain, embarrassment, and other discomforts. Yet, lifting the lid off our closely held stories and beliefs and shining a conscious light on them gives us breathing room—room to see the layer upon layer of false interpretation and conjecture we have placed on events and relationships. I bring this subject up now during the holidays because often this is the time of year our stories are most intense. Many of the family and old friends we see now are the major players in those stories. The old angst we carry prevents us from experiencing our relationships and our life to their fullest. Are there relationships or situations in your life about which you have created a story—a story that prevents you from growing in body, mind, or spirit? When in Boston someone came to me for guidance and then rejected what I had to say. She thought I couldn’t possibly understand her angst since I obviously had not gone through any trials or tribulations in my life. What she failed to see was that I was able to be present for her experience because I had worked through many similar “dark-night-of-the-soul” experiences in my own life. I was only able to work through them because I was willing to give up some of my stories. I could well have avoided some of the breakthroughs I had if I had held onto stories such as “It’s too deep rooted and painful” or “I’ve been so maligned and misunderstood, I’m ruined for life.” or “They done me wrong—how can you expect me to forgive them?” I could easily have wallowed in those “stories.” Thankfully, there were people who were willing to either gently or forcibly offer emotional and spiritual interventions. I am grateful to them, even—or especially—the ones who did things to me that I considered unjust and reprehensible. Each time it was worth the discomfort, pain, and tears I experienced in order to let go of my

Trick Training How-to

Here are five fun tricks for your cat. Repeat a trick two to five times per session. 1.    Sit - Move the treat up above cat’s head so your pet sits back. At the same time, say your cat’s name along with “sit.” Once your cat assumes the position, click and offer treats and praise. 2.    Beg - Hold a treat over your cat’s head so it has to sit up and reach with its paws to get it. Say “beg” along with your pet’s name, and the moment kitty does something resembling the trick, click and hand over the treat. Do this around three to five times, depending on the cat’s attention span. Then put the treat away and say “beg” again. If your cat performs the trick without being asked, immediately offer praise and a treat.   3.    Fetch - Toss a toy a few feet in front of you and let your cat run after it. As kitty rolls around with it, walk over and offer praise. Take the toy and say thank you, then pet your cat for a short while before throwing the toy again a little further. Retrieve the toy again as your cat plays with it, and this time, return to your original position before throwing. Repeat the procedure a few times, then give your cat a final rubdown and put the toy out of sight until the next session. Conduct these training sessions at the same time each day, and your pet will start anticipating this game. Every time you play, it will carry the toy closer and closer to you.   4.    Play dead - Call your cat to a place it enjoys. When it comes, offer a treat and say its name in a soothing tone. Then put your hand on its back and say, “Play dead.” Gently press down on your cat until it lies down. Praise and click before giving another treat. With enough practice, your cat will learn to obey this command without your hand on its back.   5.    High five - Hold a treat out of your cat’s reach, inviting your pet to sit in front of you. Once kitty comes, say, “High five,” and lower your hand. If your pet tries to get the treat with its teeth, raise your hand out of its mouth’s reach. Kitty will then try to get the treat with its paw. If the paw hits your palm, click, provide a treat and offer praise. If kitty doesn’t reach for the treat, close your

it possible to train a cat to walk with you? Yes it is and not hard to do. Patience, practice, time, and you will be walking with your cat soon. The best time to start to train a cat to walk with a leash is when it is a kitten. When a kitten is small, needs to be taught the correct behaviors. Molding a kitten’s behaviors is just as if we would do with children. They are new to the behaviors and do not really know what is right and wrong. 

An older cat could be harder to train as it is set in some of its ways. With patience from both you and your cat, you will be able to train the cat to walk with a leash. 

Let us get started with first you will need to purchase a leash for the cat. One thing you will want to do is search out the leash that will be suitable for both you and your cat. There are many different leashes on the market to day. Some are retractable with a setting on the holder to be able to allow just enough leash out for the cat. On the other hand, you can just let the cat have as much as they would like. This is nice for walking and for letting the cat to play, with control that they do not run off or get in to much trouble.

Weight of the leash should be light. You would not want a heavy one like for a dog. This will put to much weight on the cat and be uncomfortable. 

Another item that you will need to consider is a harness or collar for the cat. A harness is the best for a cat. When purchasing a collar you will want to make it very narrow one and light and keep in mind that around the cats neck you need to a allow a fair amount of room but not to lose. The harness should be loose and comfortable for a cat. Being to tight can cause the cat to get sores and end up going to the vet for treatment. 

 Once you get the leash, collar, or harness, you will want to play with the cat with the item. This allows the cat to get use to it and put its scent on these items. The next thing you will want to put the harness on the cat as loose as you can get it, just place it on the cat, depending on the reaction of the cat you can leave it on for a short time or if the cat does not want anything to do with it, then you might have to go back and play with the cat. This step is very important, if you force the cat to wear the harness, they are not going to be happy at all with the harness or with you. Take your time with all the steps. 

After the cat is wearing the harness loose, then it is the time to tighten the harness up until it is the right comfort for the cat. At this point, you will want to give the cat time to wear the harness. Once you see that is going good. Now is the time to attach the leash Remember first to have the cat play with the leash. Put the leash on and get the cat use to having it on. Then you will want to start walking the cat inside, until the cat is doing well. Once the cat is comfortable with the leash then it is time to go for the walk. 

When walking with the cat makes sure, they do not have a lot of leash to run in directions they feel is necessary. The neighbors pets will be out and your cat might want to see them. Have your cat walk with you and not the cat walking you. 

Now that you are set, you can exercise with your cat, as they need the exercise also.

Astrology is an ancient study of planetary movements through celestial constellations. This study began over 4,000 years ago, where watchers of the heavens connected events on Earth to geometric patterns or planetary events in the sky. Millennia of research connected the dots as similar events developed under similar stellar patterns. In order to counsel rulers of nations, astrologers examined the most powerful charts for the upcoming year, those that related to the change of seasons. In astrology we call these the Cardinal Ingresses. They happen at the equinoxes and the solstices. This, of course, is the same method I use. Key events during each year happen when a planet appears to station or change direction. No planet actually does this, but it appears to slow down and go backwards because of Earth’s orbit. When a planet stations while making a close geometric contact to another planet or star, at least one of the pictures indicated not only happen but leave a mark on history and consciousness. An example of this took place a few years back when we witnessed the tsunami in Japan and years before that a tsunami in Papua, New Guinea. Both events are classic examples of the activation of planets with the fixed star of drowning, Scheat. In 2014, there are three ingress charts that have a planet stationing. In the twenty-three years that I have done this work, I have not witnessed any planets stationing in an ingress chart. With an understanding that these will leave a mark, I expect 2014 to be a year that will turn a corner in the history of the world. Looking a bit closer and certainly not to my surprise, the topics are employment, health of the nation and military issues. Mars. Adding all of this together, along with their house rulerships and locations, offers a chilling picture of violence, division, and anger due to a lack of credit, monetary issues, taxation, insurance, and reproductive rights. Sudden violent acts may occur but more prolific will be the explosive words and lack of decorum, courtesy or fairness. Key dates for these issues will be December 28 through January 1. Also, as we come to the end of January, more is revealed that directly stresses the President and the nation. It may be a large sudden international explosion that kills women and children. Or it may be the exposure of some international secret that is suddenly revealed about the exploitation, torture and death of women and children. It is definitely tied to money and may, in some way, come back on the American people because there may be a link to our tax money used in an underground way. Whatever it is, it will be seen, heard and discussed everywhere. Additionally there may be a sudden or surprising turn about that vindicates the President and the American people. Public words broadcast by television, radio and the internet sting during this period. They challenge the economy, the income stream of the nation and they challenge women. There is a struggle taking place between old secret alliances and the money that has been used without public awareness. This quarter should reveal more, yet it does not appear to offer any solution, only anger. While there is optimism in the housing market, money is not flowing through banks or mortgage brokers. This will change later in 2014. The battle to raise the minimum wage continues to be a battle and this cycle does not resolve it. Children and families are challenged by a lack of governmental aid. There is tremendous stress and frustration; fun seems to be in short supply. A very interesting statement indicated by this chart is about our enemies. Normally our enemies are identified as outside the nation, but in this chart, it is clear they are inside our nation. It is a statement of America fighting itself. Looking back, as I do historically, there are many connections between this time in our nation and the time in France during the French Revolution. We are tracking along a

similar series of ingress charts. However, the consciousness in this nation is much higher and thus the outcome will be very different. And, it does not take an astrologer to look about and see how we are a nation divided, and this ingress chart emphasizes that point. The added statement is, we are fighting to free ourselves from militant, aggressive controls. We are fighting for fairness and equality. These are the actual words of Uranus and Mars in this chart and so reminiscent of the cries of the French Revolution, “Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite” (Liberty, Equality & Brotherhood.) No investments are offering immediate appreciation during this ingress period, but long-term investments are indicated in: housing, families, home products and food products. The challenge is money to build or expand now, which is not easily available. However, if you took the reverse approach and decided to create quality small or home goods designed for downsizing or recycling to downsize, this could be successful. Also investing in gold, especially if it is a product that uses gold for something needed in the home, will show returns when Jupiter reaches the middle of Leo in late September or early October of 2014. Aries Ingress: March 20 ~ June 21, 2014 In this ingress the Sun continues to be at the Midheaven, keeping the President visible, however, this ingress cycle for this president is filled with stress; he feels that many, including military veterans, are drowning in homeless situations. The terrible challenges of Uranus and Pluto in the last ingress are expanded and exponentially more apparent in this chart as Jupiter is in close contact, therefore increasing the number of sudden infamous events under the explosive deadly power of Pluto. This combination may create military disasters, bank explosions, and supreme court verdicts that turn things upside down. There are more challenges to healthcare, employment, women, children, investments, and social networks. Money is barred from women and children, while taxes may challenge them. There is a window of optimism in this chart, though it is not a strong one. Challenging him now will bring out his strongest side.

This ingress chart is the first of three that have a planet stationing in the chart, which is Chiron (yes, some people call it a planet, others an asteroid.) Chiron has a proven connection to business and soul families. It is where we are most wounded and through that wound we learn to heal, allowing us then to help heal others with similar wounds.

Where international business issues held center stage with Chiron stationing in the last cycle, this new cycle has the explosive transformer, Pluto, stationing in his own house of bankers, taxes, insurance companies and reproduction. Pluto is giving a clear warning here as it turns direct. It is ringing a toll for people, businesses and governments to take action now to transform the way money is used, change the way you are lending, borrowing, investing, taxing and valuing money. The fact this is making what, in astrology we call declination, it is actually a visible contact between Mars and Pluto, both rulers of this house of banking. The fact that Pluto is not in direct contact with any other planet except Mars, tells us that the warning call for action must begin with service. This service must come through employment, healthcare, and military. We can take that many ways, but considering our society at this time (yes, things may have changed quite a bit by September 2014) Pluto seems to say we must, as a nation, serve the people. We are responsible to see that there are jobs, healthcare and placement for our people and military veterans. It calls for our action. Pluto, making such a strong statement backed up by the energy of Mars, is not to be overlooked. If we do not respond to this call as a nation, we will witness the destruction of all that it calls us to change. Pluto always warns first and then flattens everything if we do not work it through. Is the school registered with Yoga Alliance? Potential future employers might insist on that.

Surprising Foods with More Sugar Than a Krispy Kreme Doughnut A Major New Report by Credit Suisse Research Institute1 explores the impact of sugar and sweeteners on humans’ diets, with some shocking revelations and statistics.

Worldwide, the average person consumes 70 grams of sugar and high-fructose corn syrup per day (that’s 17 teaspoons), up 46 percent from three decades ago. Yet, in countries like the US, Brazil, Australia and Mexico, sugar consumption is actually much higher, averaging 40 teaspoons per person per day for Americans (compared to just seven for those living in China). And when children younger than 4 are removed from the mix, sugar consumption in the US rises by another 5-10 percent! It’s a shocking amount of sugar, but what is even more startling is the potential damage it can do to your health.

9 Foods with More Sugar Than a Doughnut While you may consider yourself savvy when it comes to spotting sugar-laden foods, the report revealed some real sugar shockers. Before we get into just how troublesome all of this excess sugar may be, let’s first look at how stealthily it is hidden in some seemingly healthful foods. Added Sugars Represent 17 Percent of the Average US Diet …but when all forms of sugars are included, the data suggests that sugar makes up 38 percent of the typical US diet. Among added sugars, 43 percent come from sweetened beverages, which is concerning since it’s now known that calories in liquid form are processed differently by your body than those consumed in solid form. The report noted: “Mattes et al3 demonstrated that ingesting a beverage did not impact the amount of calories that were ingested during a subsequent meal or in the 24-hour period after the beverage was consumed. When a solid food was given, however, the number of calories that were ingested in the

following meal and in the following 24-hour period was reduced, suggesting the solid calories that had been ingested were processed in a different way, either in the intestine or in the central nervous system, so that the body appropriately adjusted its subsequent calorie intake. With calories from liquids, however, the body does not seem to compensate and the calories are ‘added on’ to what the person would have ingested anyway.” In all, the major sources of added sugars in the typical US diet are as follows: • • • • •

Regular soft drinks (33 percent) Sugars and candy (16.1 percent) Cakes, cookies, and pies (12.9 percent) Fruit drinks (9.7 percent) Dairy desserts and milk products (ice cream, sweetened yogurt and sweetened milk) (8.6 percent) • Other grain-based products (cinnamon toast and honey-nut waffles) (5.8 percent)

Is There a Human Sugar Threshold? Health conditions such as obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome have all been rising with rates of sugar consumption, leading many to assume that there is a dose-response relationship, i.e. the more sugar you consume, the greater your risk of health problems becomes. The report noted an interesting alternative theory, which is that the linear doseresponse model may be too simplistic. Instead, there may be a threshold level in the body for sugar below which it causes little or no harm… but once you pass it, health problems may emerge. Consuming small amounts of sugar may not be a problem, but consuming sugar by the pound certainly is. “While medical research is yet to prove conclusively that sugar is the leading cause of obesity, diabetes type II and metabolic syndrome, the balance of recent medical research studies are coalescing around this conclusion. Advances in understanding the negative effects of refined carbohydrates on blood sugar regulation and cholesterol, and the metabolic impacts of fructose, are undermining the traditional view that all calories are the same,” the report stated. Indeed, the notion that “a calorie is a calorie” has been firmly debunked by science. Not all calories count equally. And the “calories in, calories out” hypothesis for maintaining weight has equally been shown to be incorrect. It is in fact FAR more important to look at the source of the calories than counting them if you’re trying to lose weight. In short, you do not get fat because you eat too many calories and don’t exercise enough. You get fat because you eat the wrong kind of calories. At the end of the day, your consumption of carbohydrates, whether in the form of grains and sugars (especially fructose), will determine whether or not you’re able to manage your weight and maintain optimal health. This is because these types of carbs (sugar, fructose and grains) affect the hormone insulin, which is a very potent fat regulator. Fats and proteins affect insulin to a far lesser degree.


Health Lights Why Calories from Fructose May Be Especially Detrimental – The Fat Switch

Manufacturers often label their products deceptively, claiming they are fatfree to distract you from a high sugar content, for instance. Check out the infographic below for even more shocking amounts of sugars in common foods.

Fructose is in fact far worse than other carbs because the vast majority of it converts directly to FAT, both in your fatty tissues and in your liver. And this is why counting calories does not work... As long as you keep eating fructose and grains, you’re programming your body to create and store fat.

Breaking Your Sugar Habit (Addiction)

Research by Dr. Richard Johnson, chief of the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado and author of The Sugar Fix and The Fat Switch, demonstrates that large portions of food and too little exercise are NOT solely responsible for why you are gaining weight. Rather it’s fructose-containing sugars that cause obesity – not by calories, but by turning on your “fat switch,” a powerful biological adaptation that causes cells to accumulate fat in anticipation of scarcity (or hibernation). A c c o r d i n g t o D r. Johnson, based on his decades of research: “Those of us who are obese eat more because of a faulty ‘switch’ and exercise less because of a low energy state. If you can learn how to control the specific ‘switch’ located in the powerhouse of each of your cells – the mitochondria – you hold the key to fighting obesity.”

When you eat sugar it triggers the production of your brain’s natural opioids – a key initiator of the addiction process. Your brain essentially becomes addicted to stimulating the release of its own opioids. The intensity of this effect is experienced on the same level as morphine or heroin, and preliminary research in animals indicates that the pharmacological effects of sugar include dopaminergic properties, as it has recently been shown to be more addictive than intravenous cocaine. Researchers have speculated that the sweet receptors (two protein receptors located on your tongue), which evolved in ancestral times when the diet was very low in sugar, have not adapted to the seemingly unlimited access to a cheap and omnipresent sugar supply in the modern diet. Therefore, the abnormally high stimulation of these receptors by our sugar-rich diets generates excessive reward signals in your brain, which have the potential to override normal self-control mechanisms, create tolerance and withdrawal symptoms, thus leading to addiction.

This Isn’t Only About Weight Gain – Other Potential Health Effects of Excess Sugar Excessive refined fructose consumption leads to insulin resistance, and insulin resistance appears to be at the root of many if not most chronic disease. Insulin resistance has even been found to be an underlying factor in the initiation and promotion of cancer. The research is quite clear… for instance, mice fed a diet containing 25 percent sugar – the equivalent of three cans of soda daily – were twice as likely to die as mice fed a similar diet without sugar. Refined fructose, in particular, also raises your uric acid levels – it typically generates uric acid within minutes of ingestion, which in turn can wreak havoc on your blood pressure, insulin production, and kidney function. So far, scientific studies have linked fructose to about 78 different diseases and health problems. For example, fructose may: • • • • • • • • • • • •

Raise your blood pressure Lead to insulin resistance / type 2 diabetes Be associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) Raise your uric acid levels, which can result in gout and/or metabolic syndrome Accelerate the progression of chronic kidney disease Contribute to intracranial atherosclerosis (narrowing and hardening of the arteries in your skull) Exacerbate cardiac abnormalities if you’re deficient in copper6 Have a genotoxic effect on your colon7 Promote metastasis in breast cancer patients Cause tubulointerstitial injury (injury to the tubules and interstitial tissue of your kidney) Promote obesity and related health problems and diseases Promote pancreatic cancer growth

Where Else Is Sugar Hiding? You probably already know that table sugar, fruit juice and candy are high in sugar. But did you know that the following foods are also quite high in sugar also? • • • • •

Tomato sauce Granola bars Salad dressing Canned fruit Dried fruit

According to Dr. Robert Lustig, it is virtually impossible to exert enough cognitive willpower to overcome this 24/7 biochemical drive! That said, limiting or eliminating your sugar intake is the most effective way to break free from this disease-causing cycle. If you still want to use a sweetener occasionally, the sweet herb stevia makes a good, non-addictive sugar substitute. (It is important to avoid ALL artificial sweeteners, which can damage your health even more quickly than sugar.) If you currently eat sugar, there’s a good chance you’re struggling with sugar addiction. So I highly recommend trying an energy psychology technique called Turbo Tapping, which has helped many “soda addicts” kick their sweet habit, and it should work for any type of sweet craving you may have. Remember that in order to minimize your sugar intake, you need to avoid most processed foods, as most contain added sugar. As mentioned, even savory foods like salad dressing, soup, and bread often contain sugar. For optimal health, eat natural whole foods primarily, and limit your fructose consumption to below 25 grams per day, including that from fresh fruit. A couple of other tricks to try to kick your sugar cravings: Exercise: Anyone who exercises intensely on a regular basis will know that significant amounts of cardiovascular exercise is one of the best “cures” for food cravings. It always amazes me how my appetite, especially for sweets, dramatically decreases after a good workout. I believe the mechanism is related to the dramatic reduction in insulin levels that occurs after exercise. Additionally, if you do eat sugars or fruits around the time of the exercise, your sugar levels will not rise as it will metabolized for fuel. Organic, black coffee: Coffee is a potent opioid receptor antagonist, and contains compounds such as cafestrol – found plentifully in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee – which can bind to your opioid receptors, occupy them and essentially block your addiction to other opioid-releasing foods. This may profoundly reduce the addictive power of other substances, such as sugar.

Healing The health benefits of meditation, whether secular or spiritual, have long been recognized in the East, and now these benefits have successfully been tested in the rigors of the scientific community with excellent results. More and more peer reviewed research on meditation confirms that it is a viable method of improving health and psychological/emotional well being, helping with issues ranging from cardiovascular disease, inflammation, immune activity, to pain, anxiety, depression, mental imbalances, and more. As a relaxation technique, meditation offers many benefits, and it is well known in the medical world that reduction of stress improves the condition of many disease states and helps to greatly reduce health risks related to physical, mental and emotional overload. Risk factors for a multitude of diseases including life threatening heart disease and stroke have been improved with the regular use of meditation as a balancing and strengthening self-care modality. The benefits of meditation are most noticeable when it is practiced on a regular, preferably daily, basis. The most important thing to remember is to start out at a pace that is reasonable for you, say, 10 minutes every evening before bed. to be truly free we must challenge the love of the established way and the close mindedness of tribe to a broader view of brotherhood. Women, money, employment, healthcare, and corporate established ways are at the crux of this cycle. Business is once more being given the opportunity to transform, but it may struggle to free itself from its historic bias. This picture indicates, we must stop looking only at the bottom line and start including the needs of the people and our service to our country and the people as part of this bottom line. In the past no value has been given to community by corporate structures except as it could add to their bottom line. This transformation changes the equation to realize that the bottom line must include community benefits. To rape a community of its resources, whether planetary, human, or other living beings, will no longer be acceptable. It is this change that is being called to task by Uranus and Pluto in their interactions. We have been witnessing their work since 2011 and it will continue till they part in early 2018. Then we will have to piece it all together and will have to tweak and adjust our new system until we reach October of 2043, when it should begin working efficiently again. As Saturn ingresses to Sagittarius on December 23rd, this issue softens. The corporations have learned a lesson, though it may take till Jupiter stations direct on April 8, 2015 before everyone feels the effects. In Conclusion As I look at all five Ingress charts, which span from December 21, 2013 through March 2015, there are numerous consistent statements. Transformation is a consistent note. Uranus and Pluto are sharply empowered in power houses in all but the Libra Ingress. Anger is strong in the beginning of this sequence, but less prominent in the last chart. Change and sudden acts that force transformation are in all these charts with the Libra chart pointing more toward the stock market than the others. We focus more on blaming others for our ill until we get to the Libra ingress and beyond. At this point we start to ask ourselves what have we done, what can we do, let’s work on this. And the last chart in the sequence focuses clearly on putting energy and money into the issues at hand.

December is my favorite time of year. I truly love the Winter Solstice and all the holiday festivities that have been associated with it for thousands of years. The joy of the dawn, as the sun returns, moves me to the core. This Winter Solstice (December 21 9:11am PST) is especially magical. I understood that November would test our metal; and it was much as I had expected. So I was very grateful to look ahead to the Solstice and see Light emerging from the chart. Not joy, or happiness, or peace; just Light. The kind of Light that is seen when one emerges into a totally new world. But I do not believe it is the world we have imagined. This is new. So I would advise us all to walk very slowly, watch our feet and stay very present as we move into 2014. The terrain will not be what we may have feared, neither will be as we imagined. 2014’s Impact on World Leaders After last month’s look at how a name carries powerful frequencies, I thought since we are coming to a new year next month, it would be interesting to look at how international leaders may be affected by the frequencies of 2014. We all live within numerous cycles at any one time. Some cycles are obvious; however, when we step back from all the mundane cycles and look from Spirit’s input through the numerological frequencies, we get a different perspective. It shows us cycles that are taking place in the consciousness of the whole of Creation in this zone or part of the galaxies. Leaders in our world bring their bias and personal development to the picture. These souls allow themselves to be the voice of a nation and thus be at the apex of the turning of consciousness. So, to blend their personal nominal frequency with the year, we get a picture of how each of these individuals will field, fight, lob or question the issues that swirl to the top of a nation’s consciousness. This allows us to better understand the directions they will take and why they take them. With this in mind, let us look at 2014 and world leaders. The Frequency For 2014 Is 2 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 7 Seven indicates a cycle of major changes, risk taking and leaps forward. Depending on how this works with the individuals own nominal frequency, that is by adding this Seven to the frequency of their name, we will get a picture of direction they may take during the upcoming year. America’s President: Barack Obama 2+1+9+1+3 + 2+ 6+ 2+1+4+1 = 32 = 5 His nominal frequency is Five, that of teacher, attorney, contract writer, a person who is detail-oriented. This is a man who has a deep thinking mind with a strong memory. Add to his Five frequency, 2014’s Seven gives us number Twelve, which equals Three Three is the number of nurturing, a person who holds the family dear and does their best to keep family together…sometimes to the point of hurting himself. As we watch President Obama this year, we will see how he attempts to nurture and care for this nation. The Three frequency can lead to over-nurturing, care-taking and martyrdom, so let us hope he does not fall into these traps. Most assuredly many of the tests he will encounter this year will pull him in this direction. As each of us go through the annual frequency cycle, we will experience numerous tests or traps from the negative side of the frequency. These tests help us become stronger in our commitment to ourselves. They can make us more compassionate to others and thus, at the end of the year, if we have stepped up to the challenges, we will find we are stronger at every level. Former U.S. Secretary of State and possible Democratic Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton 8+9+3+3+1+9+7 + 3+3+9+5+2+6+5 = 73 = 1 Adding 2014’s Seven frequency to Hillary Clinton’s One results in Eight…signaling a year of balance and also of justice and karma. This will be a very interesting year to watch for those who do not know former First Lady Hillary personally. An Eight frequency for anyone in public service can force balance. If the person has been honest it will bring this forward, if they have not, skeletons may rise out of the closet in order to clean everything up, so the individual will once more find balance. Because Hillary Clinton has such a strong One frequency to rely on, it is certain that she has the ability to speak with power and address whatever flies out. Governor of New Jersey and possible Republican Presidential Candidate, Chris Christie 3+8+9+9+1 + 3+8+9+9+1+2+9+5 = 76 = 13 = 4 Adding 2014’s Seven to Governor Christie’s Four creates the Master frequency Eleven, This will give Governor Christie a strong platform to get out any message he may choose. His natural Four frequency takes control and he has clearly shown us through his actions during the last hurricane that he believes himself to be the Patriarch of his State. He never allowed anyone else’s opinion to take him away from the directives he set for himself. That is a Four. The challenge in this Master Number Eleven year will be not to become obsessed with the message he delivers. It will be heard but if he obsesses, people may find it unbalanced or unsafe. President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, 4+3+1+4+9+4+9+9 + 7+3+2+9+5 = 69 = 6 President Putin’s Six frequency certainly shows when we see photos of him, always looking comfortable posing in front of a camera; of course, being a Libra adds to this ability. Sixes easily network. In President Putin’s case the Six, which is normally a very happy congenial number, is heavily influenced by his birth archetypes: double Sevens (10/7/1952 = 7/7) So, though he may enjoy being congenial, he is also driven to make change, to be a force of change and take whatever risks he deems necessary to achieve those changes. In 2014, while we listen to Bernanke’s smooth delivery, the Eight frequency may bring us all into greater balance financially or, more likely it will activate a

All three leaders are people of the Five and one can see in each of them a deep thinking process, a concern for more than their pockets and a historic knowledge of their people. Pope Francis’s Five will add the Three frequency in 2014 and thus will desire to nurture all his flock even more deeply than he already has. I hope he uses this frequency wisely through delegating work to others and not taking on too much himself. The Three will test and tempt him to take on more and more, even to martyr himself to this cause, and this could overburden this kind pontiff.

Let go of the issues that have held you back. When you do something you really do not want to do, consider now what steps you need to take to change it so you never have to do that again.
