WELCOME As the 2016 Racing Season draws to a close, it is time for breeders to shift their focus to the 2017 Yearling Sales that are fast approaching. Record results were achieved at the Inglis Select Yearling Sales Series this year, with the Sydney Classic sale achieving the greatest growth of any yearling sale in Australasia. It is more important than ever to choose the correct sale and company for your young thoroughbred.

In 2017, Inglis celebrate a very significant milestone of 150 years in business.

Commencing operations in 1867 selling farm produce, William Inglis & Son Ltd soon expanded into selling a wide range of livestock, horses, vehicles and other machinery at a number of sites throughout Sydney, the most notable being their auction house situated on Pitt Street in the Sydney CBD. Fast forward 150 years and the Inglis family are still involved in the day to day running of the business. We believe just as their forebears did when the company started that every detail matters and superior client service is of the utmost importance. We know how important it is to work together to obtain the best possible result for each of the yearlings we are entrusted to sell.

The Sydney Classic Yearling sale continues to grow as a platform for early running 2YO types as witnessed by the success of Group 1 winning graduates this year Yankee Rose and Extreme Choice. To further enhance this, a NEW INITIATIVE we are introducing in 2017 is the GOLD RIBAND session as well as a $1,000,000 Golden Slipper Vendor and Supplier bonus. More information about these initiatives is available on page 4 of this brochure.

The growth of the Melbourne Premier Yearling sale has continued every year for almost a decade through the quality of horses being entered by vendors and an increasingly diverse buying bench; both local and international.

With the Blue Riband session recently delivering its 4th Group 1 victory in South Africa, it will certainly continue to grow in popularity.

Leading the way in the Southern Hemisphere is the Australian Easter Yearling Sale, which for over 60 years has had no peer. The quality of the product is second to none and the graduates of the sale consistently deliver race track results for their buyers. The prestige and depth of the buying bench is second to none.
