’Agriturismo Montepaolo si trova in una posizione invidiabile, tra le colline e il mare, nelle campagne di Conversano.

Straordinaria la bellezza del posto, un melange tra armonie e contrasti paesaggistici, in cui si stagliano i due corpi della cinquecentesca dimora nobiliare di campagna, un tempo appartenuta ai Conti Acquaviva D’Aragona, poi acquistata dal giudice Cataldo Ramunni, antenato dell’attuale proprietaria. Sull’atrio della struttura principale che ospita dieci stanze, tutte con bagno privato, si affacciano due spazi, adibiti a sala ristorante: sulla destra il vecchio palmento, l’antico luogo

di vinificazione dove è ancora visibile la cisterna per conservare il vino, divenuto poi la residenza del massaro; sulla sinistra la Sala delle Carrozze, che presenta le arcate delle mangiatoie per i cavalli e dove venivano conservate anche le botti. Di grande importanza storica la chiesetta con affreschi del 1642, che, con molta probabilità, è uno dei quattro eremi di Sant’Antonio da Padova. Poco più in là si staglia la torre medioevale che oggi ospita due appartamenti finemente arredati che si affacciano sulla dolina, oasi naturale protetta dal WWF.
