WHAT’S NEW AT JMP

Growing foodservice wholesaler expands JMP Foodservice expanded its headquarters at Birks Mill, Sedbergh, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, from 72 sq metre to 266 sq metre to cope with increasing employee numbers.

The building now boasts four offices occupied by the accounts team, purchasing staff, transport manager, and directors.

The main space is used by telesales and marketing personnel.

The project, which included a complex re-roofing job, was completed in 12 months, staff members worked in portacabins during the renovation, and have now moved into the brighter and more spacious building.

The wholesaler’s sales director Shaun Atherton said: “As we have grown and recruited more staff, the need for a bigger office became clear and we decided to build on our original base in the Yorkshire countryside.

• 225g dried linguine or spaghetti • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 1 lemon zest and juice • 1 large garlic clove finely chopped • 1 red chilli, finely chopped (reserve some for garnish) • Freshly grounded black pepper • 3 tablespoons fresh basil finely shredded • 150ml whipping cream (optional)
