Billy Elliot - The Musical, an experience I will never forgot. I decided to audition for Billy Elliot after my singing and dance teachers encouraged me to go for it. I’m so glad I did! I think there were over 120 girls who auditioned on the day. There were a few rounds and we had to sing, tap and perform our best “bad ballet”. Given the Ballet girls are not supposed to be prima ballerinas, all our years of ballet training had to be forgotten in that moment. It was actually very fun trying to be bad. I was lucky enough to make it through to the final round and a few weeks later I found out I was successful. I play the role of “Tracy Atkinson” she is the Ballet girl who likes to eat pies during ballet class. She is funny and quirky.
We rehearsed for a number of weeks during the holidays and then after school and on the weekends. The Premiere of the first show in Queensland was an absolute highlight for me. It has been a huge success and the show has been extended until August 13th.
The creatives, cast and crew have been a dream and I feel so lucky that I have been given this opportunity. My final show dates for the season at The Star, Gold Coast are: Friday 28th and Saturday 29th evening Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th matinee Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th matinee (closing show)
In the 2021 Classical and Contemporary Scholarship and Awards run by DanceAus Connect, I was lucky enough to win a photoshoot package prize from Belinda Strodder Photography. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, I was unable to complete the photoshoot until May earlier this year.
Prior to the session, I chose a small selection of poses I liked and wanted to recreate. I picked out my favourite leotards to wear, though Belinda also generously provided a range of costumes, leotards and skirts for me to use. Belinda was extremely welcoming during my session, and quickly made me feel comfortable to experiment with different poses and shapes to find what worked well. She made sure to guide me through the process and gave valuable advice on how to trust yourself and have confidence in order to create a pose that captures a feeling of movement and freedom
Overall, the photoshoot package prize was an incredible and wonderful experience I was very happy with the final photos I received, and I'm grateful to both DanceAusConnect and Belinda Strodder for making this fantastic opportunity possible

Hi everyone! Little update from me.
The good news is my surgeon has confirmed that my Perthes is now in stage 3, regrowth!
This means my femoral head has stopped fragmenting and is starting to repair itself, yay! I have now been on my crutches and using my wheelchair for 9 months! Although I’m not able to weight bare I have still been keeping very busy.
I assist Miss Lisa at TDC every Monday with technique classes, I do singing and acting classes at DHPC on a Wednesday and assist Miss Rebecca at Architect Squadron on Sundays.
I am also allowed to swim now so I try and do that every week too. I’ve really enjoyed going to watch and support everyone in lots of shows recently, SCIMM, Transit, Dream, Boss, TDC’s mid year concert and catching up with everyone at VDF and Jump Nationals!

A multi-faceted acrobatic syllabus offering exams, class work, tutorials, spotting techniques and teacher training courses. From minis to teens, with 13 progressive levels ACROLINK is setting the standard of linking acrobatics and dance safely and artistically in our community. Greta is thrilled to be heading back to the United Kingdom this year bringing ACROLINK to the Can You Dance? Super Convention as a Headline Faculty member.
