FOOD FOR THOUGHT By Sarah Sutton, Food & Beverage Director

As the holiday seasons start to draw closer and families are visiting just a few reminders to make your dining experience as smooth as possible!

Employee of the Month

When making large reservations, please call the club to speak with me or one of the staff in the dining room. Making notes in the reservation that the table will be larger than the number reserved does not guarantee that we can fit that size of table at the time you requested. Usually, it will not be a problem, but calling to confirm is the best way to make sure we can accommodate your request. If your table size is larger than 15 and/or you are requesting a different space than 1955 or Skipjack, please reach out to our Event Coordinator Jennifer Mason (extension 105, jmason@icycc.com) to make sure the space is available and she can take care of booking your group for you. When booking a table for multiple members, please let us know what members will be joining you. This allows us to ensure everyone’s bottles are pulled before they arrive. Special holiday orders are now being accepted. We are featuring sweets, meals, and appetizers that would be perfect for your house party or a host/hostess gift. View our Holiday Quick Guide Here

Jennifer Mason Jennifer took home the Chili Championship title at this Month’s employee chili cook off, judged by none other than our very own Chef Josh. Congratulations Jennifer! 2nd Place - Megan & Peter Stephens 3rd Place- Brian Darlak View Winning Recipe Here

Kenny Johnson Kenny has been and Indian Creek employee for two years and currently works outside operations. He has excelled since starting at Indian Creek. In his first season he was promoted to “cart manager”. Kenny excels in customer service service and always puts a smile on people’s face! We thank Kenny for his hard work and dedication.

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS by Megan Stephens,Membership Director

IT’S A SMALL WORLD AFTERALL The mantra of this famous children’s ride at Disney rings true right here in our hometown and club so often. I walk around the club campus with folks looking to join and often conversation leads us to a relationship that connects us. For example - a recent phone call from a prospective member led me to realize it was our children’s orthodontist from years past (located in Williamsburg) who had been invited to stay with friends in the Irvington area and they fell in love with our community...fast forward several years, and here they are looking for to buy a home and make ICYCC their life when at the River. What an unexpected connection! Rewind to a tour last year where a prospective member knew nothing about the area, but decided to build here and during the tour walked into the Pro Shop only to see her boss from the Pentagon from years ago. Another unexpected connection! These are just a few examples of the seven degrees of separation that in fact connect us all - we just have to put ourselves “out there” and be open to the connection. If you have someone that you haven’t seen in a while, reach out and invite them out. It’s easy to reconnect and the holidays are a perfect time to do just that!

The entire team of Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club would like to extend a heart-felt THANK YOU to each and every member this holiday season. We appreciate the annual holiday gift especially at this time of year. It is our pleasure to serve you and we wish you a very happy and safe holiday season.

Mark your calendars! December 3rd 1-3 pm
