Description Lasinone (Nitisinone Capsules 2mg/5mg/10mg) is used to treat adult and pediatric patients (in any age range) with confirmed diagnosis of HT-1 (Hereditary tyrosinemia type-1 or Tyrosinemia type-1) in conjunction with dietary restriction of phenylalanine and tyrosine.

Dosage and Side Effects The recommended starting dosage of Lasinone is 0.5 mg per kg administered orally twice daily at least 60 minutes prior to, or 120 minutes after taking a meal. In patients aged 5 years and older with undetectable serum and urine succinylacetone concentrations after at least 4 weeks on a stable dosage of Lasinone, the total daily dose may be given once daily (e.g., 1 mg/kg to 2 mg/kg once daily).
